Because a startup has the potential to grow its revenue exponentially, and therefore valuation. When a VC exists the startup, they make money not on the profitability of the business but by selling their share ( a startup may also get acquired by a big company)
Great question! Having a large audience is like having a big waitlist, which is why I emphasise it so much. QOVES isnt prerevenue though, but the point still stands, VCs unlike conventional businesses look at the longer term picture of the founders (if they are capable), the business and branding strength and product fit, before ever considering revenue and such - bc they know itll come; it's just a matter of time for them.
I was making videos since 14 so I had the basics covered in Adobe After Effects. For the first 2 years it was just me working 14 hours a day editing videos. Now we have a large team, i'll make a video on the process.
Great breakdown!
