Dude, Tenchi Muyo: War in Geminar is not only my favorite part of the Tenchi Muyo series but one of my favorite series of all time! I definitely recommend this series to you bro as well as I request you to make a review on this if you get a chance mate! B^D

Ooh, a Tenchi discussion! Please consider more Tenchi topics in the future. For me, I actually prefer Tenchi in Tokyo over OVA 3, for various reasons. Though, you could argue that from a production standpoint, Tokyo is much worse.
Dude, i just checked out the first two OVAs again, and i still can't believe how much potential this show had. Did you know that in the newest OVA (Season 5) Tenchi marries all of the female characters? Even Ryokos mom, Ryo Ohki and even Sasami. I can't wrap my head around people defending this crap. This bad writing just feels like a childhood rape.
My problem with the _Tenchi_ anime adaption is how it's seemingly all over the place and unnecessarily difficult to keep up with.
What they need to do is make a new reboot anime series and follow the manga more faithfully; kind of like what we got with Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
U the only consistent anime channel on TH-cam. Everyone else quit or downgrading in topics. Also it's not enough time in the day anymore to watch anime but I still do

Man, after watching the first Tenchi Muyo OVA Episode from 1992, i loved it. Man, i watched the first two OVA and really liked them. Then i watched the 3rd from 2003... And maaaaan... THIS 5:16 . I didn't get a thing. Not one single thing. I was shocked how rapidly a show can get bad. I couldn't believe it., i was honestly just shocked. Have you watched the 4th and 5th OVA? Although they are direct sequels, there are so many new things you are supposed to know, before starting the show. Apparently the new characters that they talk about in these OVAs (ninety percent of the time) get introduced in the other Spin Offs, although these Spin Offs are supposed to be alternative universes, wtf? Please watch the first Episode of the 4th OVA. Man, Blablablablablablabla! These women just talk to each other throughout the entire time. It's literally just talking for 4 Episodes. Same in the 5th OVA. In these two OVAs combined Ryoko maybe has three sentences overall. I don't know what they are thinking. Unbelievable. In my opinion they should erase everything after the 2nd OVA.

Tenchi muyo ova 3 hands down is my favorite. Not sure what you think about universe but I felt as it was decent. But worse one is gxp imo
Universe is a masterpiece in my opinion and had the best ending.
I'll always love the original OVA series the worst even though i can watch it for ours the worst i have to admit Tenchi in Tokyo the animation changed and it felt like Tenchi slice of life that's weird coming from me because slice of life is my favorite genre

I like the first 3 OVAs (OVAs 1&2 dubbed by Geneon, and the 3rd OVA dubbed by FUNimation), and its TV series spin-offs, namely: Tenchi Universe, Tenchi in Tokyo and Tenchi Muyo! GXP.
I Respect your Opinion on Some of the Tenchi shows that you find Worst, as long as you respect mines back.

I enjoy the original OVA series. One reason is the characters were depowered in the TV series. The girls in the OVA all seemed to have different reasons for falling in love with Tenchi, whereas in the TV shows it was just love at first sight. I always thought Tokyo was the worst series, but I haven't seen the newer stuff.
What about the new tenchi muyo from 2018? Is that apart of the og series?
As I said in another of your videos, OVA 3 is fine, but it wasn't handled well. Unfortunately, the problems you had are partially Japanese otaku culture and partially Kajishima-sensei's. The reason you probably found some things confusing is that OVA 3 was written for Japanese fans. At the time, we in the West did not have the True Tenchi Muyo! novels in English (Seven Seas licensed them, so you can buy them and read them yourself). But the characters introduced in those novels and in the doujinshi from Kajishima-sensei were brought into OVA 3 because Japanese fans wanted that.
That said, in Japan, for some franchises, the otaku are expected to have purchased EVERYTHING related to said franchise. (This has been a thing with the current Fate/Grand Order anime series, which expects you to have played the game and know all of this backstory.) And thus it is with the canon Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-ohki franchise. The otaku in Japan were expected to have already read the novels and such and thus wouldn't be confused.
The other issue is Kajishima-sensei. As best as I can tell, he does NOT want to retread old territory if he can help it. The exception to this happening when his displeasure at how Nabeshin modified the GXP story Kajishima-sensei wrote. So Kajishima-sensei rewrote it in the form of the GXP novels, which are still being created to this day in Japan.
That aside, because Kajishima-sensei had already shown Aeka and Ryoko battling a villain in OVA 1, he didn't want to do that again in OVA 3. And thus those fights were skipped. And in OVA 4, since he'd already told certain things in the GXP novels or in the War on Geminar series, he wasn't retelling any of that. Viewers were just expected to have read or watched that material. And OVA 4 sold quite well in Japan, which is why AIC went for OVA 5.
Tenchi in Tokyo has some nice elements, but the production values are horrible due to Pioneer wanting to be cheap and milk the cow. That's why it is my least favorite series, followed by Ai Tenchi Muyo.
