You got to visit so many absolutely amazing places! Honestly I'm kinda glad that you didn't go full vlog mode. I enjoyed hearing you describe each place and I feel like vlogging cheapens the experience for everyone involved. How can you quantify something like that!? I'd hate to visit a place and spend the entire time viewing it through my camera lens. It's better to just immerse yourself in the experience instead of worrying about capturing every significant detail for an absentee audience. I can't imagine that would be enjoyable. A few short videos and pictures of the things that really stand out for the things you really want to show off is enough. The Gyeongbokgung Palace looked incredible!😯 I also love places from antiquity. It's kinda like time traveling, taking a step out of the modern world into the past where it almost feels like there's this unseen magic hiding just below the surface! Those are the places I would have spent the most time in. I could spend weeks just touring old temples and castles. Just absorbing the scenery and harmonizing with the vibes they give off! The hike above Seoul looked incredible! As someone who has done a moderate amount of hiking in the Appalachian mountains, the journey to the views is nearly always worth it! I've been blessed to see some spectacular sights at the top of the trail! While visiting some friends in Asheville, we climbed up a stream bed that had been filled in its entirety with giant boulders that had been deposited all along the stream during various floods throughout the years. Once we reached the top we came to a tiny swiming hole at the bottom of a waterfall and flowing into another with an incredible view of the Blue Ridge Mountains below! Speaking of Ashville, have you ever been to the Biltmore House? It's definitely a tourist destination so there are tour groups etc., but you can also just walk the house and most of the grounds yourself. It's like someone built a European Castle in the middle of the mountains in North Carolina. There's botanical gardens, so so much beautiful art throughout, and a library inside that is absolutely gorgeous! It's not functional but it is definitely a sight to see! Alright, that tangent aside, Kyoto and the onsen town were the two places I would have had the most trouble leaving behind! That architectural style and the scenery just in general I find stunning! The thousand plus years of history looks like it would be palpable in places like that! I could easily waste away a day at a tea house like the one you visited or by that little shrine by the water in the onsen town! I'm also very happy to hear that some onsen are tolerant of tattoos. If I ever make it to Japan, I definitely would like to visit one. However, I have a full sleeve on my left arm and am only two or three sessions from finishing a full sleeve on my right leg. They might not let me in due to their size, but my tattoo artist is phenomenal and I can say with confidence that my tattoos are works of art. Each is one cohesive piece in full color realism style. I've been told that my work looks more like an oil painting than tattoo. There's also nothing offensive or controversial about them either. Both are bookish tattoos actually. So maybe all that combined would grant me a little leeway. If not there are private onsen that can be rented. I don't know if they have the same atmosphere and vibes as the public ones do though. Whew...😅 I could probably go on, but I have a bad habbit of leaving long comments and this one was one doozy of a long comment🤣 I love to travel, even though I seldom get the opportunity to do so, and hearing about your trip has genuinely brightened my day! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

I haven’t actually been to the Biltmore House sounds cool! Your hikes sound really amazing too 😁 I haven’t gotten more tattoos myself bc of how much I love Japan, but I do want more at some point and your tattoos sound really cool and yeah I think some onsens you can rent give you a similar vibe and hey you get the whole place to yourself-always nice!🤣👍 Hopefully you get to Japan and can experience it! Thanks so much and I am glad you enjoyed listening and seeing bits from my trip!!

@@MizzMangaChatz Japan is definitely a bucket list destination for me so I really hope I make it there one day as well! If you have any interest in seeing pictures from the hike I mentioned or my tattoos I have plenty and would be more than happy to share them with you. I don't have an Instagram, or any social media aside from TH-cam, but I'm pretty sure that I could create an album in Google Photos and share it with your Google account using email. I never thought I'd ever have a reason to use social media in most of its various forms, but I also never imagined a scenario where I'd want to share anything with the internet. Yet here I am.😂

Thank you so much for sharing your trip! It looks so magical and beautiful, I'd love to go and see it for myself! Unfortunately I'll probably be banned from the onsens, too many tattoos 😅. A Makoto Shinkai video would be really cool! I'd love to see you go deeper into what you liked/didn't like.

Ahh well there are places you can get a personal bath or rent a smaller bath out in onsen towns so you’d still be able to enjoy them!! 😄 Great glad you’ll be interested and hopefully make that sometime soon!

I'm not a huge Makoto Shinkai fan :D
His movies look stunning, but it's the character interactions and romance which never really works for me. Like they don't feel organic and feel kinda forced and shallow? It's super subjective but i just never connect with his characters at all, which is a shame because each time i watch a new movie of his i hope to like them more than the previous ones, but every time i was just disappointed haha

Haha 🤣 see I totally agree with you about half the videos of his and then the other half (for whatever reason) I feel like he makes it work, but yeah his collection is interesting to me bc of how differently I feel towards his catalogue of films lol
