    Model 3 have the best charging speed faster than model S and X or any car at present market. With supercharger with no limitation charging speed from 5-55% battery capacity is 450miles per hour, that is 150miles range in just 20-22min. Charging power is max about 117 kW in that range.
    Above 55% SOC (state of charge) charging speed (power) is lower, especially above 90%, keep that in mind.
    Good video.

    I’m never going to get over the fact that the over the air updates these cars get can make the ui seem so different in just a few months. I really like the v9 software so when I went back and watched your previous video on the model 3, I was just marveling at how improved the ui is. I can’t imagine what it will be like in a few years.

    dude, not bad with the video ... but you went to an urban super charger. they are a little over half the speed of a regular supercharger.. Also, the voltage difference from a low and a high charge should not make the car that much slower when it is low. Believe me the 0-60 police of customers would be crying foul by now.

    I honestly don’t understand what so many get excited about the phone control of a Tesla. Perhaps all of the male adult kids who wish they still had a RC car.
    Yes, you can flash the lights or open the trunk but really, it’s basically just a remote control like your tv or air conditioning unit (it too can pop the vent wings-yeah!).
    The car itself is amazing and I get that fascination.

    • @eubikedude
      @eubikedude 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @jens Ericson It also allows you to control it like an RC which is great for people with narrow garages, the car can be driven inside with no one in it for spaces too tight to open the doors and get out.
      It also allows you to have the car to come over to you in a parking area. Great if it's raining or snowy etc.

  • @sithsiri
    @sithsiri 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    to clarify, the battery only charges to 80 or 90 percent unless you specifically tell it you want more (like for a trip), because charging to full degrades lithium ion batteries faster. Same with your phone or laptop, but those it usually doesn't cost thousands to replace a battery on a mobile device.

    Good review. You did a good job describing what it feels like to drive, which is tough to convey in a video.
    Tesla offers adapters that let you charge from all kinds of outlets, including dryer and RV outlets. Any of these 240 volt outlets will charge fast enough to be full by the next morning.
    When road tripping, you'll get much faster Supercharging than you got at that Urban Supercharger. This, together with Autopilot, make it a great car for long drives.
    If you think that RWD Model 3 is fast, try the AWD version or even better, the AWD Performance version, which has track mode.

    "vegan leather" is about the most misleading term, but it seems to be gaining traction online. It is a modern form of vinyl compound (unlike in the 80s that peeled) and is crude oil based. So, not all all the "green." Other than that issue, I like your review very much; you are easily one of the best and most trustworthy ones out there! Keep it up.
    It seems you are also from Texas. Howdy! I noticed that it took 1.5 hours to charge. So, Dallas to Houston trips with a single recharge stop takes that much longer?

    Best review on a Tesla I've ever seen. Had to subscribe. I'm waiting for the Model Y. Seeing this I know I DEFINITELY have to invest in a fast home charger.

    Nice review, one thing though... about $10 for 200 and some miles is not impressive at all. It's about half of the fuel alternative but given the price you have to pay for this car, it's not good at all. I'm a bit sad they phased out free supercharging but it was expected...

      The point is to do most of your charging at home where electricity is likely to be much cheaper and only use superchargers for the odd long trip so the average price per mile is much lower than a gasoline car.

    For example, it is raining outside the parking lot, is it safe to charge your car?

    Let’s say I buy this car. Do I have to buy a separate charger to install at home or does it come with a charger for you to install at home?

      Doses Of Cars Buy a Tesla level two charger,($650 + install) and it will charge and about 40 to 44 mph of added range per hour. Sometimes the house needs will affect the charge rate as only so much energy goes into the house. And you nvr have to go to the gas station again. Less maint.
      FYI, where I live on the west coast, Edison only charges 11 cents/kWh at night. So a 75kWh battery max charge is: 75 x .11 = $8.25.....to go a potential 310 miles. It’s more like 280-290. Even if I loose 40-50 miles range(cold weather, heavy foot on accelerator pedal etc), that’s still about 2 gals of gas or 125 mpg... I drive a lot, 30k/yr+ so, I save about $2500 in gas yearly. If you only drive 2 to 3 miles to work, $46,000 car doesn’t make any sense, unless you just love that car. For me it’s a no brainer as I live a long ways from work
