@@carwashnews Slower speed can mean cleaner cars. We had a 60' conveyor in Waupun, and in the late 90's we slowed it down a little and got a better quality car wash. We offset it with a $1 per car price increase, and because the line was slightly longer, we looked like the car wash people wanted to go to. it worked well. Then in 2016 the local Kwik Trip bought us out.
and to me, what's cool about this wash, it's laid out identically. From 78-87 we had brushes, then in 87-16 we were a cloth wash. The only difference was we pulled the top brush for a friction curtain when we went to cloth. And we didn't have the tire shiners....they weren't invented yet! LOL
Shaking my head. You stop your car so as to keep the exit door open and get out to walk through the tunnel, for which I'm sure you had no permission. Even try opening doors to the back room? Sorry, you have no right doing that. That is a privately owned business. Private property. What goes through people's heads that they think they can do this? Think they can just go wherever they want as long as they have a camera in their hands. What if you tripped on the conveyor or slipped on the wet, soapy concrete and broke an ankle or something? Is the owner supposed to be libel for that? If you have permission and are escorted by an employee, that's one thing. But, this is not ok. No common sense.

I understand that YOU don’t have the common sense to do something like this, and I wouldn’t condone anybody else to do this at any car wash without permission.. However, what you have failed to understand, is I am a car wash professional. I have had my arms in conveyors, wired motors, replaced high pressure hydraulic hoses, managed many high volume car washes in multiple states. I know what’s safe, and what’s not.
Nothing wrong with that little tunnel looks like it did a nice job....NO LABOR COSTS👍
Got to be careful. depending on where that exit door photo eye is that door can come down. I've seen it happen. I work on these machines daily
