    Hamilton is 40 minutes away with No traffic. Regular commute is at least 75 minutes with regular traffic. Snow ❄️ days it can take 2 hours!

    Oshawa is 30 minutes away from Toronto at night when there is no traffic on the highways 🛣. On a regular day and during peak hours it’s can take up to 90 minutes

    Those were great options 30 years ago but not the case anymore, every highway leading into the city is a grid locked nightmare and the houses are only marginally cheaper. AVG home price right now in Woodstock (too far to even commute) is $530,000 because of all the city people moving there and getting into bidding wars. I was hoping this video would show other cites around the country that aren't dealing with this craziness. Show Halifax, St Johns, Calgary, Moncton, Winnipeg etc

    House prices in guelph are going up real fast. In 1 yr a 430 townhouse now sells for 560k. If you check out zolo u will see many selling way over asking price right now. Interest rates are real cheap now and the toronto crowd is fleeing to the subhurbs in search of more value for their money.

    Good video but one correction. Oshawa is 30 minutes from Pickering and about an hours drive from Toronto.

    We recently moved to Waterdown in Hamilton which 5kms away from Aldershot. very upcoming area!! Hamilton core is very inaccessible to Toronto as 403 is always busy!! Would become better when Confederation Go is completed!!

    • @CanadianParinday
      @CanadianParinday  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Burlington is definitely more closer to Highways and have better accessibility. But we haven't found Budget Houses in this city and therefore kept it out of option. Thanks for opinion.

    Yeah ~ when my dad retired here in the US, he found a family home at 2000 sq ft with 3 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, a family loft, a living room with a full size kitchen, including a receiving and formal dining room all for 175 grand. The only other state I know with a housing price like Canada is California. The only big difference is the weather between the two.

      That's because India is the youngest country in the world (65% population < 30 yrs) and produces the highest number of fresh Engg. and professional graduates every year. Even China is behind India in professional manpower generation annually. So graduates and professionals who look at starting their careers in other countries for better prospects are bound to be more from India

    It's kind of interesting the criteria described or at least highlighted in beginning, do not include school district. In my humble opinion, school district and especially kids going for drug counselling should be the main criteria. I would live in smaller house to meet my budget but would not live in big house with pathetic school district.

    I am a dual resident of the US 🇺🇸& Canada 🇨🇦 . Trust me Canada is a shittiest country when it comes to real estate. Be it Toronto or Waterloo the prices are exorbitant. Thanks to Chinese investment and government that failed to protect the affordable housing. A $1M home in GTA is just $400K-$500K in California(except SF & LA).
