What is lovely about you, is the fact you explained everything about this in 15min. I only had the events on, on a pc in another room. Keep up exposing this! Also - What are your thoughts about the fact that many people seem get bans for «legal» trading? (Like mass bidding etc)..Why do they punish people who are «market smart»? I mean, are they so petty they will remove all other ways to make coins besides buying points?
Thanks Fredrik! Yeah I think it boils down to a combination of 2 things: Corruption & Incompetence. It's unbelievable that EA ban regular human activity. It's one thing to identify 'bot' behavior, but I've seen over my time playing, many instances of people getting banned simple for selling a Silver card at Max 5k Coins, just because it became a good candidate for a random EVO, lol. Absurd. Benefits EA because it disincentivizes trying to earn coins lol. So that's the corruption aspect, 100%. Also though, exemplifies another aspect of their incompetence. They could have a more logical set of parameters for banning people from the transfer market.
Lmao😂EA Killed this franchise, but I'll do my best to make the most of it with this channel. We'll see how things develop here. Hopefully I can create something useful here given the state of things
Great video, didn't expect my attention to be held for the full 15 minutes but you made a lot of great points. I completely agree and unfortunately it's been this way for a long time and only gotten worse. It's ridiculous to me that any kind of Pro scene around FIFA/FC even still exists. I started in FIFA 09 aged 10/11, and since being a teen have years of experience myself competing in CSGO & League of Legends & watching their esports, it's so bizarre to me that anyone could even consider FIFA an esport with the amount of RNG and general uncontrollable, uncounterplay-able bullshit in the game. If there's game mechanics that are essentially bug exploitation or OP strat abuse (kick off glitch where CBs fall asleep, Green timed trivela pre-nerf, greened finesse+ shots) with fuck all counterplay, how can you call it a competitive game!? And that's before you even mention the P2W aspect, which has also existed for years. I think it's why people consider the 'glory days' are FIFAs 13-17. FUT had been out long enough to develop into a fleshed out gamemode, but not long enough for EA to fully destroy it. Ever since it shifted away from the best cards being TOTW/TOTYs, and EA started releasing a new promo every week, it just drives FOMO, pack addiction (wasting hundreds if not thousands of $$$ on points for a game that you will not touch in a years time) and turned up the grind to 11. Yeah, admittedly, there's more ways for casuals to earn rewards through grinding in recent titles, but man it's like the time investment of a full-time job now if you want to stand a chance of competing vs P2W players. And even then, you can't, someone will ALWAYS have a better team than you no matter how much time you spend grinding. The sentiment you made in another comment about each instalment being worse than the last is so accurate, at this point the idea of playing the game is a lot more fun than actually playing it. Really regret falling for the trap and buying it this year, at least they made clubs a tiiiiiny bit better. My only justification for it was to not miss out on clubs with friends tbh. If you play other games or have any sort of life, FUT is just way too grindy now if you don't P2W, so didnt see myself playing it much. Turns out my assumption was spot on but unfortunately my friends also stopped playing it, so now it was just a waste 😂 (unrelated but the part about guns jamming can/does happen in certain milsim games like tarkov, but yeah not in any esports to the best of my knowledge)
Brother, thank you for the detailed insights. 1) That's a great compliment, all I can hope for around here is that this style of video, not being highly edited & ultra-attention-seeking, keeps people's attention longer than they'd expect. Thank you for that. 2) You're 100% right about every thing you've highlighted here. Incredibly accurate & articulate points. 3) In your defense, playing a game at all with friends or family is enough to justify the initial purchase, so I wouldn't feel bad about that if I were you lol. In a past video I explained that the primary reason I play is literally because of two of my cousins, who are my best friends. Anything that furthers a bond between family/friends is worthwhile in my opinion. 4) Good call, I guess gun jamming is a thing in some games, but yeah, there is 0% chance it's an actual thing in a Top eSport haha
Really nice video, great analysis of a big problem within the game. It's a shame that the competition is way behind in terms of creating a fun experience in their own football games and so we have to "endure" the crazy randomness and straight up BS that happens in this game.
One more analogy to FPS games. There is no at least competitive FPS game where you click the shot/Pass button and the shot/pass itself will happen 1,5 sec later :P
I liked the skill gap from fifa 17/18 also before it felt similiar...but the main thing was that people had to defend with pressing the tackle button. (even for blocking shots etc) so you had to bait each other out etc it feels more and more like a football manager type game now with auto ai defending.
100%, I would much rather manual defending, you'd think this company would have recognized this as an issue years ago. Crazy when you think about it TBH

One thing I will say is there are some “pro’s” on these live events. Players who actually make bank from playing the game. Phzin, tekkz, etc etc. some have earnings in the hundreds of thousands. But you are right over half the players don’t make a full time living off of playing the game. All that aside this game is the worst of the fifa/ea fc franchise. I got ripped off and didn’t get rival rewards last week, still sat here with nothing 🤬
100% Agreed, I acknowledged (at least I hope it was clear) that a minority of those players, are making a living. But majority aren't lol. And damn, yeah the rivals rewards situation is a complete joke😂Something that happens essentially automatically, every week, every year, all of a sudden, doesn't work, randomly, for some players. Lol. Amazing.
Hey man, I'm new to the channel. I just wanna say you have good points and speaking but you should work a bit on the presentation and thumbnail etc. we need more inception-like TH-camrs!
I can't even imagine how anyone is in the state in their lives to run multiple accounts TBH, complete insanity to me & Yes I'm sure it's not fun in the lower divisions, running into a higher-level player. Very true. Shouldn't happen too often though
the biggest question to me is when do we all who buy the game year in and out decide to do something else? Will this only happen when we have a good alternative to EA?
It's an extremely good question, and I think you're right that for many of us, it will only happen when we have a good alternative to EA. But, keep in mind, many people have already quit because of all of these glaring root issues.
@@jmiyagi12345 Holding the ball you can literally torture any nostalgic FIFA player. I remember most people couldn't hold the ball 45 minute older fifa's because of manual pressing and no train tracking from ea. (they slow you down in some kind of scenery fashion)
ea fc has probably on of the worst esports out there. there are clips on the offical twitter account where the trashiest goals are being scored, some goals are even being scored with bugs and glitches like a random throw in glitch and then the commentator's not acknowledge the glitch / big and celebrate the goal being scored like it's something amazing while the person conceding completely got robbed. kurt (a ex pro who played some of the best football possible in fifa) who got banned. said in a clip watching esports a few months back that the guy they kept beating up on when he was playing because that person was trash. and now that same person who kept loosing is now suddenly way better and why? because that same person can now score easy goals by abusing broken and overpowered game mechanics and glitches etc. like the kick of glitch and corners being broken. esports for this game is just the worst and complete joke it's not about playing football in this game and esport but who is the best and most effective at abusing the broke mechanics and glitches the most and to the fullest extend to get wins.
@ yugioh has a similar model where the power level is constantly pushed and the newer products have to always be better. But the thing more in line with what you are saying is that prizing on every level is a joke. Winning a local event at best gets you some store credit. Winning a regionals will get you a shotty unsellable playmat (so better hope you like the design) as well as a few booster packs and a deck box. But the worst part are the major events. They just updated there prizing for winning a YCS (a Yugioh championship series also the largest scale events aside from world tournaments) will get you at 1st/2nd a steam deck, some metal dice, and a 1 of like 200 card that sells for at most a grand . And this pales in comparison to the amount of money spent to build your deck (most meta decks cost atleast 1-2 grand) as well as travel to the event and room/board as most ycs are atleast 2 day events. So going to a single ycs can easily cost you 4-5 grand, and at best if you win the event you’ll make back half of that and god forbidden you go to multiple.
@@alikcd I see what you're saying now, yeah Yu Gi Oh is similar in how they push a P2W power curve. Makes sense. & That prize pool is atrocious lol. Thanks for sharing, brother!
Played "competitively" from 19-22, getting top 100 pretty much every week and having a few good performances in the open tournies. Came back for 25 and already quit. All the problems that made me quit last time have become even worse. Unfortunately, their sales are still booming, so nothing will change any time soon. Joke of a game, joke of a company.
Dont agree with skill moves being nerfed was one of the things that always made fifa feel arcadey. I dont think defending should be nerfed. Attacking ai should be buffed. Attacking players stand still too much and dont even take good positions. Outside the box trivelas and finesse shots should be nerfed. Also corner kicks should have better options for defending them. Fifa 23 had overpowered defensive ai when using 5 at back formations that most pros had to rely on step overseas. Fifa 20 had even stronger defensive ai even the pros found it hard to score goals. Would be great if ea worked on the inconsistencies of passing, shooting and first touch not skill moves
Gold VVD & Theo Hernandez were om 100% of the teams, Mbappe was in majority of the teams. At this stage of their competition there is a 7M coin 'salary' for each team, so they have to stay within that cap. Other meta gold cards were popular as well, but those 3 are the most notable (says something about how broken Mbappe is that most pro's will use half the total team budget on 1 card lol)
I 100% stand by this, I will never forget that, especially towards the end of FIFA 23, I distinctly remember it being an actual good game. FC 24 was a huge drop-off from FIFA 23, and FC 25 is a huge drop-off from FC 24. I'm convinced that anyone who thinks otherwise is tripping lol. I still remember how well skill moves were, even when I was a worse player than I am now lol, and finishing was infinitely more logical and rewarding than this dog sh*t backwards finishing
