I just bought supertech valve seals for my ek civic only thing I didn't like is they didn't label e or I for blue or brown so how are we supposed to no what side color they go on lol but now I saw your video I'm glad I did it right brown on I take side thanks guys
Your video was very informative. I do have a question..I know u did 1 cylinder but what would happen if you had to rotate the crankshaft to do the other cylinders? With the timing chain still on? Would someone just have to hold it while the other person turns the crankshaft?
@kawehi S since the cams are out, all the valves are shut and you don't have to rotate the crank at all. You can do all 16 without rotation. This method is much easier than removing the head.
If the engine in question came with single springs as standard then yes you need to change the seats, valve stems I’m presuming your talking about the valves themselves, no you don’t need to change those just the seats and while your in there you’ll have to do the valve stem seals
Really like this kind of technical content.

Great guide. Exactly what I needed. Appreciate the fact the tool links should pay you guys something too!
Great video, I wish it was that easy on my 911 and Subie. Boxer motors almost always require engine for head work.

You're making me want a K24 in something.
It's an awesome engine
Used your valve lash adjustment video many times!
Great video. Thank you for the tool links in the description!!!
Nice! I like these quick tip videos.
He explained it well.
love the install tool kit
I love this video man 💯 I appreciate your knowledge
Do you have to rotate each cylinder to top dead center?
So you have to do a valve lash adjustment even if you are not changing cams and only changing springs and retainers
I still wish you guys would've dropped a turbo on this build. I just turbod my k swap and it's unreal. Like, it's an entirely new monster
feels like your a dentist and your car is your patient

How are you supposed to do the exhaust side? The rollers don’t move far enough out of the way to use the tool
How big of a air compressor would I need?
Do you need air to do just the chain ??
Is there any way of doing this without removing the cams?
Howdy, If installing a dual valve springs do i need to replace the seats and stems, thanks much

Would those tools work on a K24A4 I4?
Which tool is this? the lisle 36050 or the 36200 tool for use on a k24? 1:17
What do you do to not have your valve stems not fall into the cylinder
He has compressed air put into the cylinder to hold the valves up.
There was a recall on our valve springs but not the valve seals which are now leaking
Where can I purchase those tools at?
Do you know if k20 has oem stainless steel valves?
How do the valves not drop into the cylinder when you remove the retainer?
Compressed air in the cylinder being worked on (through the spark plug hole)
Nice
In your experience, do the valve seals fail if a car has been sitting a while?
So would this solve oil burning in a k24a??
My K24A3 didn't burn any noticeable amount of oil. However my current K24Z3 is burning oil :(. I already replaced the PCV valve and it didn't help
@@a_void ive heard the k24z3s burn oil due to the wrong piston rings being installed from the factory.
