    Hey Kyle happy late forth. One thing I did was I took inspiration from the light up weapons and made some chucks from glow sticks. That was fun to play with. And I got the neighbors and their kids interested in your channel. Bye the way I'm looking for some connectable nunchucks/escrima
    Preferably with a threaded connection. IV seen them on wish but I'd rather buy them from a more reputable website so I know they can take a beating. Any recommendations. Or if the nunchuck/escrima has an actual name. Also one cool project idea you might like as far as the improvise weapons go. Is taking two tactical flashlights that have lanyard holes and making a set of EDC nunchucks. It's important they are the metal kind and are battery powered. Not the rechargeable kind because the charging port can be damaged. Where as Iv used bulb heads tactical flashlight for yrs now and it's taken so much abuse I'm surprised it still works.

    • @Karatemart
      @Karatemart  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Andrew! Happy late 4th to you as well, brother! That’s a cool idea with the flashlights. I could definitely see that working. As for the escrima chucks, we do have converta-chucks on KarateMart.com. There are other companies out there that sell them, but ours are MUCH better quality. Also, our sister company, Kombativ.com manufactures a machined aluminum baton nunchaku that is really nice as well. But, because it is hand-made in America, it is more expensive. I’m glad you had a fun fourth and thank you so much for spreading word about my videos. I really appreciate that! Have an excellent evening, my friend!

      @@Karatemart Yes sir! Been a bit busy, but having a blast always with weapons 😁.
      Kyle, would you mind if I asked your opinion on what a good throwing knife would be? I have some cheap ones I practice with, but my knowledge of throwing knives is very limited. • @Karatemart
      @Karatemart  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@justincroteau1458 that’s an excellent question, Justin! For me, I’ve found that the best throwing knives are ones that are a little bit heavier. I explain it a little bit in this video:
      th-cam.com/video/g5aoA5PM6Os/w-d-xo.html
      The lighter and smaller ones tend to bounce off their targets a lot more, so I really look for ones that are a little larger and heavier. Definitely let me know if you have any more questions. Have a great weekend, brother!

    Definitely some good craftsmanship on the katana. However im definitely going to look into the dagger and cleaver. The dagger looks like it'd be be a good EDC boot knife. Also the cleaver would be an awesome camp kitchen knife however I'm not to kean one the sheath unless it has some kind of plastic inside preventing the edge from slicing the sheath open. So I will probably have to make a scabbard. To go inside with it.
    Also thanks for the kombativ website suggestion. Iv been looking for a fixed EDC knife with a blade under two inches as I live in California. And they're push knifes caught my eye as the sheath looks like I'd be more comfortable and secure then the blades IV carried. I will have to do more research as I'm not sure if they would be considered knuckle dusters as those are illegal in California.

      @Karatemart  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks brother! I’m so glad you are doing your due diligence to check your local laws. There are a lot of excellent knives with smaller blades. My favorite is probably that hawkbill karambit I showed off a few weeks ago. Thanks so much for all your support, brother!

    • @andrewmanning3322
      @andrewmanning3322 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was just looking at that one however I'm probably going to get your stainless steel spear point neck knife. Because I work with my hands a lot. And the ring will allow me to use my hands and use the blade. As it's a pain drawing and sheathing my knife constantly. Fun but time consuming. I enjoy real steel as it holds an edge longer however I swim a lot and my friends and family always look to me whenever they need a blade. And when they don't they look at me like I'm a dangerous person. One time they told me only crazy people carry knifes. I said ok Im crazy but the right kind of crazy. And my nickname has been crazy ever since.

    I really like the stiletto a lot. Its spring assisted long and has a good thrust and a it seems to have a functional cut as well. (of course as usual it is illegal to carry in my state because of its length) I like the shape of the blade of the first knife you showed as well. (although I'm not really sure about the ring) my problem is with the katana. I have nothing against pirate theme. and it doesn't matter whether sting ray skin is real or not (infect I prefer fake because that means nothing had to die to make this sword) however the steel is the lowest possible quality if you take steels that are actually functional and that is just not good enough for a katana. on the other hand while I'm not generally big fan of nunchucks those would be quite effective because they are made of metal and could do an actual damage as you have shown in this video. I wouldn't know where to begin if I was to use nunchucks but for someone who knows what they are doing they would be a good weapon i think.

    • @Karatemart
      @Karatemart  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Bart! I always appreciate your take on the different weapons. I’ve actually spent a lot of time testing different metals on sword blades over the years and while 1045 carbon steel is on the very low end of high carbon steel, it doesn’t get enough credit. One of the things I like about it is that it is a softer steel, so it bends much easier than it breaks and can be bent back into shape and resharpened very easily without hurting the integrity of the blade. I’ve bashed it full force against concrete, other swords blades, wooden pallets, etc and was always able to bend back and resharpen the blade. Now, if I was going to pay for a high end sword, I would want a higher carbon steel, but for 95% of people, 1045 is going to be great as long as it has been tempered properly. I hope that makes sense. Have a great week, brother!

    • @bartangel4867
      @bartangel4867 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Karatemart low carbon content does mean less brittle blade I did hear about that so what you are saying makes sense.and I think I read something about this type of steel having relatively low carbon content and I think the last two digits mean the carbon content which in this case would be 45%. until now I thought spring steel has relatively low carbon content but it seems that most spring steel has similar carbon content as carbon steel I think it just has different content of other metals But I'm not really sure. what do you think of 9260 spring steel as steel for swords?

    • @Karatemart
      @Karatemart  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Joke: That Dread sword looks like a pirate answered a booty call from the daughter of an unaware sword smith **bow chica bow bow** if daddy finds out then it's gonna cost him his family jewels. 🏃 🗡🏃‍♂️-get back here Jolly Roger
    Joke 2: looks like a pirate became a pimp looking for some new kind of booty in the far east.

      It’s so funny, man! People stop their cars all the time and watch. It never bothers me though…they can tell I’m having a good time! It really is like Christmas opening up all those new weapons! I hope you are having an excellent week, my friend!
