The reason they make the ring so big on that karambit is so if you are a Cop or Special Forces , because they wear gloves . I learned that from getting the Tops Tac Karambit. That bone knife is what is called a Ullu knife , it comes from the Alaskan Natives . TherUllu has a different handle , but that shape with the hole is Alaskan Ullu all day . The Natives used them for everything , they had EDC before there was EDC LOL .Sorry been on vacation ., not supposed to be on internet but had to sneak to watch lol .
Hey Troy! Great to hear from you! That’s interesting about the ring on the pommel. It makes a lot of sense. You’re also right about the ulu knife. As you mentioned, the original Alaskan ulu had a different shape and we are seeing more and more manufacturers designing ulu knives to look like mini axes. Because of that, we differentiate our traditional shaped ulu knives as ulu knives and the ones that are designed like mini axes as hand axes. I’ll start mentioning something about that in my videos if we have anymore of that newer style of ulu. I hope you had a wonderful vacation and everything else in your life is going well. Enjoy your weekend, my friend!
When it comes to the perfect point folding throwing knives @ 2:30 you have your thumb on the secondary lock. That peg like post if you push upwards will engage a metal lock which stops the liner lock in the middle from allowing the blade to fold. It provides a solid lockup. 😊 I have ordered a few times from you guys hopefully my tip allows for you to send me a free gift 😊.

I'm undecided between the parang and the knuckle hatchet. Generally, I don't think much of knuckle hatchets, but this one looks interesting. I like machetes, so the parang will probably be my choice. I just can't tell whether that design would be awkward for cutting brush. It's also a little more decorative than I would want for a brush chopper. The hammered pattern on the blade looks nice, but I'd prefer something smooth that was easier to clean. I need to get to the post office. My order is there, but I didn't realize that this much time had elapsed since I made the order.
I think either of those is a good choice. I love the fact that the knuckle hatchet can be used in reverse grip and I love how heavy duty the parang is. Thanks so much for your support! I really do appreciate it!
I don't like 3cr13 much either, but because it doesn't hold an edge very long. It doesn't have enough carbon to get very hard. But it doesn't have any problems with strength. Your low carbon steels can be very strong. San Mai steel and other laminated blades such as some of the Finnish/Norwegian/Swedish knives use lower carbon stainless on the outer 2 layers for strength and a higher carbon steel on the center layer for a harder edge. High carbon steel is harder, not stronger and is in fact often noticeably weaker.
Great question! That specific shirt I’ve been wearing lately is available on www.Kombativ.com. It’s made of that really comfortable material, so I love wearing it. I hope you are having an excellent week, my friend!
The folding throwers are kinda cool. Not sure there's a necessity for throwers to fold but coolness doesn't have to be logical. I wonder how the lock on the folding knife will do over time if used a lot. Of course being a throwing knife it doesn't have to be that strong as who cares if it folds on impact & it's not folding on ones fingers. But definitely a cool conversation peice

Karambit is kind of nice (although I don't really know because I know next to nothing about karambits) and the field knife. The parang is interesting and I would put it against a knife it might even have an edge in some ways. but it would be much more useful in things like clearing the thick bush which would actually be nice as a weapon it is also decent although i would never put it against a sword of any kind. The hatchet would not be very useful as a weapon although it would be better than nothing. But I would prefer your wood handle stiletto much better if in a fight. what it would on the other hand probably be very good for cutting small sticks, ropes, sharpening wooden objects and simply as interesting decoration.
