No Cyrodil does not have spiders under their forts, they just have sewers full of undead, goblins, necromancers, and people bent on assassinating the emperor.
Literally every single fort in Cyrodiil is ruined, unmanned, and populated by monsters, animals, bandits, vampires, necromancers, the undead, daedra... ...and that was back before the Empire properly collapsed.
If somebody that's new to the channel or the Lets Play has wandered here, I'd very much like to recommend this LP. The commentary is top notch, and during the 150 episodes (still ongoing by the way) I've nearly died of laughter more times than I can care to count. The time spent on things other than gameplay, such as editing, cutscenes and chapter trailers shows an outstanding amount of effort that you can't find from many Lets Players. Not to mention the amazing and hilarious puns and quotes in the titles. Honestly the greatest story I've seen told in a Lets Play medium. If you enjoy seeing other peoples misery, enjoy educational and interesting commentary or are looking for someone to sympathise with your hate of one of the things listed below, I recommend you give it a shot. -The Rift -Bears -Crossbows -Stormcloaks -Ice Mages -Thalmor -People complaining in the comments -Rain -Random police cars driving by
Max Himbigger Most people probably won't, its a reference to a perk in Fallout New Vegas added by the broken hearts DLC. Also to the behavior that of a typical colonist or explorer during the late Victorian era colonization of Africa
My brain forced me through memory splinters to find this series once again Scrolling for far too long using different key word combinations on TH-cam in search of this And I’m so happy
How does this guy not have a million more subscribers than he has?? These have got to be the most immersive Let's Plays out there! Hats off to you fine sir!
Hello from 2022! I decided to go back to the series that first introduced me to your channel for a bit of nostalgia. Honestly though, it just makes me miss the top tier quality of your current stuff! It's crazy just how far you've come (and how much better your mic is now too)!
feels good to rewatch this after seeing claduius' growth throughout the series, makes me feel like ive seen a true friend grow through years of knowing them, gg dave
Dave...I hope you still check these comments, but I wanted to thank you for posting these RPGs with full RP and immersion. It's incredible how much of the game is missed by so many and how much you bring to light. Just wanted to say thank you!
The Organization XIII I lol so hard, skyrim makes it so simple, back in the old days, the way you reloaded it, shows how much power is behind it compare to skyrim's crossbow.
Just started re-watching this lovely series in honor of Skyrim: Special Edition's release, and hearing you mention Neverwinter Nights got me wondering; would you ever consider doing a play-through of NwN in a similar fashion to which you've done this one?
Ulfric Stormcloak is a racist bastard towards non-nords.......... But still better than the Empire sanctioning Nazi-elves to run a religious holocaust towards Talos worshipers. Plus, Talos worship is somehow related to keeping reality from falling apart. Look up the Towers if you want to know more of that.
I don't usually burst out laughing on these let's plays, but the line "Maybe he was trying to tell me to back off through interpretive dance" had me hollering. Love your playthroughs Dave
I started watching Let's Play Oblivion around 9 thinking, "Hey I'll waste a little time watching something that I can easily stop watching so that I get sleep tonight." It is now 2 in the morning and I'm going to go watch the next video. Jingles, I applaud your role playing skills, also, I look forward to the next installment of the Oblivion let's play.
I finally really got to set down and watch this episode, and I freaking love it! I especially the attitude and mentality you gave Claudius towards the Nords. I'd love to see you do this with a High Elf...talk about a fun playthrough.
This was interesting to see, from all the let's play's I've started watching, nobody ever returned to Helgen Immediatly after escaping the cave :p I'll keep watching this LP, looks very nice with the RP and stuff!
I gotta say the one thing I like more than keyboard and mouse with the controller is the control of speed, like jogging bc NPCs are annoying with their "walking."
I made a roleplay character like Claudius recently, he started off thin, well-shaved, on the imperial side along with being pretty weak. Throughout the roleplay I made him buffer with a rough beard and ended up siding with stormcloaks. It was a really fun and drawn out story of him basically going from a de-ranked imperial officer to a juggernaut dragon-born hero.
Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak Gonna join up with the stormcloaks soon enough :'3. It's funny how the Stormcloaks have both man and women yet the Imperials only have men in their army.
Wow this is going to be fucking great, also I'm personally glad you went with a controller, much more immersive experience imo, also I might suggest Turning up your sensitivity a bit, helps out in combat for me but it's all about preference really. Great job man.
Upgraded Weapons and Armor Mod. Whenever you find a piece of gear laying around that was the original item the Mod replaced with an upgraded item. Unfortunately the amount of item clutter gets ridiculous as time goes by. The items remain in the world forever and can cause some serious bloat issues in save files.
I may be wrong, but I think the alternate start mod has a "Guard in the holds" option. Could have been the tale of a guard being transferred to Solitude amidst the war. A mod that would be a nice addition is 'Locational Damage' it basically adds a multiplier based on where you are hit by various weapons.
Salt in the old times was considered almost as valuable as gold (certainly more practical), so for a character in a Medieval-esque fantasy world to collect salt when he finds it, is not that unbelieable. Salt was incredibly versatile and absolutely vital for survival, not just because the body needs a certain amount of salt, but because it allowed to preserve food for later use.
Perfect Legionnaire. There is also a Stormcloak one called "Stormcloaks with Sleeves"; though it doesn't modify the gear nearly as much as LP does for Imperials.
man, I like the way you take time to explain why your character is the way he is or the way you have chosen him to be. That is what I have to do, when I start playing this game in two weeks. Will be getting an xbox 360. Haven't played in a while. Want to get back into serious gaming. That is why I like your Fallout3 and Skyrim "movies". I hope you do some "audio storytelling" like you did in Fallout. I may have missed it in the "introduction". You are good and interesting. So, so many mods. Which ones and should I really get them all, or...? Thanks in advance.
Jingles, I'm so glad you've decided to do this, I love your let's plays, and I've been really looking forward to this :) Quick question, if you've decided yet... What armour type will Claudius wear- Heavy or Light?
man your mods make this game look amazing i wish mine looked like that but im no good at installing mods at least i can get the ones in the steam workshop
Im amused by the thought of a drunk Jingles stumbling out of the room shouting at the poor, taken-aback locals "Learn to make bricks you barbarians!" before hiccupping and stumbling back to his room to grumble about expensive pie.
No Cyrodil does not have spiders under their forts, they just have sewers full of undead, goblins, necromancers, and people bent on assassinating the emperor.
Two years late but you forgot the Daedra & Vampires if you go down there at higher levels.
It's a serious problem...
Caster Pollux did you mean to make your name ‘Castor Pollux’? 😂😂😂 are you even a graecus
Literally every single fort in Cyrodiil is ruined, unmanned, and populated by monsters, animals, bandits, vampires, necromancers, the undead, daedra...
...and that was back before the Empire properly collapsed.
you forgot rats and mudcrabs. many rats many mudcrabs.
"What's the first thing you were taught, Claudius? Always use your shield! I don't have a shield."

-Rain

your advice is duly noted.

I love the Stormcloaks and I hate the Imperials, but holy shit this is the best LP I've ever seen.
i wasnt sure if i wanted to watch this, but fine, you convinced me.
I'd like to imagine poor Claudius spent the entire dragon attack segment screaming like a little girl.
Claudius is quite literally a "sneering imperialist"
...i don't get it.
Max Himbigger Most people probably won't, its a reference to a perk in Fallout New Vegas added by the broken hearts DLC. Also to the behavior that of a typical colonist or explorer during the late Victorian era colonization of Africa
ok, that makes sense.
Lol
SorcerDave's characters tend to be jerkasses.
My brain forced me through memory splinters to find this series once again Scrolling for far too long using different key word combinations on TH-cam in search of this And I’m so happy
first rule of fighting claudius: stick 'em with the pointy end.
How does this guy not have a million more subscribers than he has?? These have got to be the most immersive Let's Plays out there! Hats off to you fine sir!
Claudius sounds like a good name for a pet crab. I like it.
Emerald Gems YES!!! :)
+MikePlaysIt Dude i see you everywhere !
in gopher's vids too

Goin back through to officially watch it all now that it’s finished. Thank you Jingles for this absolutely beautiful ply through
feels good to rewatch this after seeing claduius' growth throughout the series, makes me feel like ive seen a true friend grow through years of knowing them, gg dave
after six years, you wanna rewatch it again? i know i am
"Oh an elven helmet an Thalmor must have dropped it."
"Oh an stuffed armor... iehh"
An Imperial must have stripped and started to dance ;D
It's so much fun to watch you and Gopher because you both actually play in character :)
I absolutely love how you made the backstory for this!
Started rewatching this one again. So many fun memories with this LP. :) Thank you for making these, Dave!
And here I go, starting from the beginning for the third time, filling the gaps between Fathis uploads. Really love this lets play.
9 years later, I’m coming back to watch this Epic of a Let’s Play. I can’t wait!
Dave...I hope you still check these comments, but I wanted to thank you for posting these RPGs with full RP and immersion. It's incredible how much of the game is missed by so many and how much you bring to light. Just wanted to say thank you!
Shortbows acctualy require more strenght then long bows in real world.
And crossbows required more strength to reload than either for a long time. Nowadays, crossbows are usually a lot easier to load.
The Organization XIII I lol so hard, skyrim makes it so simple, back in the old days, the way you reloaded it, shows how much power is behind it compare to skyrim's crossbow.
I like to think In the magical world of Skyrim, they've slightly improved the design of the crossbow to make it easier to load
I really love it that you still play skyrim it's still my favorite game
Your voice is perfect for the character. Your natural accent added with the way you are talking just makes it fantastic.
13:37 “very observant of you” LMFAOOO
Hello 9 years later I’m still playing and watching these
Time to bring back nostalgia❤❤❤❤❤ welcome back to anyone else rewatching a supreme let’s play
Well done to you sir. This is actually the only lets play of Skyrim that catches my interest.
Damn I miss These LPs. I've been rewatching Fathis' LP from
The beginning and now I'm rewatching Claudius. Miss these guys
Still my favourite Skyrim lets play, always come back to it
World going to hell. Mind half broken and totally drained. Time for comfort food of TH-cam. Nice to see you again Claudius
Just started re-watching this lovely series in honor of Skyrim: Special Edition's release, and hearing you mention Neverwinter Nights got me wondering; would you ever consider doing a play-through of NwN in a similar fashion to which you've done this one?
Claudius reminds me of Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit.
A true son of Skyrim. Victory or Sovngarde!
Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak Down with Ulfric, killer of kings.
Next imperial i see is a dead man.
Ulfric Stormcloak all hail high king ulfric stormcloak!
You really deserve more subs! Not many people can catch my interest, and hold it as well as you do! Keep it up!
The intro and the title sells me. Subscibed.
Started watching this because it was recommended. Leaving as a subscriber.
Some one likes dragon age is your name Duncan by any chance?:)
Negative lol.
I hoped so otherwise someone must have used blood magic to resurrect you lol
I know right? Duncan was awesome.
"No torture in Cyrodil"
Either a lot has changed in 500 years, or Claudias is verrry naive
I don't usually burst out laughing on these let's plays, but the line "Maybe he was trying to tell me to back off through interpretive dance" had me hollering. Love your playthroughs Dave

sorry for my bad english
Your lets Play is very good and i love it
This is what Let's Play series should be, keep up the awesome work.
I like your role playing makes the game so much more enjoyable to watch and follow along with GJ!
with enough fantasy for ones backroundstory, this game never gets boring. Great Let's play...like!
I lost it at "Learn to make bricks!!! .....did I just shout at those poor people out there?" Haha!
This was interesting to see, from all the let's play's I've started watching, nobody ever returned to Helgen Immediatly after escaping the cave :p
I'll keep watching this LP, looks very nice with the RP and stuff!
Even after all this time, I haven't forgotten the famous "61 gold for an apple pie!"
Loved that prelude I am subscribing just for that. Can't wait to see what happens to Claudius.
28:55 "Maybe he was telling me to back off through the medium of interpretive dance."
I gotta say the one thing I like more than keyboard and mouse with the controller is the control of speed, like jogging bc NPCs are annoying with their "walking."
He shouldn't have to apologize for using a controller. Sad times we live in.
I think we all wished controllers wasn't a thing :/ sad times indeed.
SuperLotus I use a Xbox 360 controller too and I'm proud of it!!!
@@Michal_Valoel Please don't speak for all of us.

Awesome concept ^^
Claudius seems to forget Tiber Septim and the Empire originated from Skyrim.
The wine part around 6:00 was priceless.
Just discovered your playthroughs- great fun so far! Nice RP & immersion. :)
Also thanks a ton for listing all those mods, when I get my PC together and download skyrim I'll be checking them all out for sure.
God this is so relaxing to watch on a Sunday night.
wow, claudius was such a skinny guy in the beggining, i had forgotten just HOW skinny.
I always was confused at that too at 17:35 when Hadvar says to split up, but wants you to follow him all of the way to Riverwood
Classic Bethesda incompetence
I remembered sorcerer daves yt because the name CLAUDIUS popped into my head. Had to come back to where it all started for me a decade later
All roads lead to... not Rome I guess.
The Imperial City is the Elder Scrolls equivalent to Rome.
Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak I knew I would meet you again. Didn't I kill you? Well, either way, that song wasn't written yet, sorry.
LesbianLioness "Dragonborn" rhymes better than "Tullius".
Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak
Gonna join up with the stormcloaks soon enough :'3. It's funny how the Stormcloaks have both man and women yet the Imperials only have men in their army.
Sawtje2 True enough.
Maaaaaaaaan, it's been a long time.
Time to binge..
Dave, I can't wait.
They should hire Fathis and Julan for pest control....
They'll burn down the house to make sure they never come back
VIIStar just Fathis now I suppose
Man the nostalgia. Jeez...

"Learn to make bricks!" XD
cool video first lets play iv watched to the end
Nice mods, this will be a very great series I can tell.
Indeed, your LP:s are genuine, love to see more of this!
linking shouts to speechcraft makes so much sense, how did Bethesda not think of that
The thunder storm is from the storm that alduin summons from the sky's. ^-^
Giant spiders, giant snakes= T- virus.
The bandit around the 28 minute mark was hopping mad!
"makes combat more difficult" proceeds to two shot enemies
Jingles: great writer and LP doer and master of sounding congested :P
Love the role play bro u earned youself a sub
Yes! I love seeing skyre on let's plays.
I love your role playing and Claudius is the best
So Claudius is basically C3PO...
Anyone back here for a watch in 2019?
Nope 2020
vinch pop Dope! 🤘🏼🤘🏼

decided to come back and watch the Claudius playthrough again, im so happy i did xD
This is some of the best role playing I have ever seen this is reply good
You didn't read the description did you. Always read the description.
Never realized that Hadvar is actually the lead singer of Creed :o
Shit, now I can't unsee it! XD
"Pies here cost 60 gold coins, what am I going to do?" --> Episode 01, in Which Clavdivs Goes On A Diet
you deserve more subscribers dude.
Im really diggin' into this roleplay-ish playthrough :D
Perfect Legionnaire. There is also a Stormcloak one called "Stormcloaks with Sleeves"; though it doesn't modify the gear nearly as much as LP does for Imperials.
It is still amazing to watch skyrim in 2021

You'll have so much fun playing.
Also you can't get mods unless you're playing the PC version ._.
catsintexas I've never heard about that, but after searching it up it seems possible. I don't think graphics mods would work, though
catsintexas It is possible, but it can get you in craptons of trouble.
catsintexas Good luck :P even if it doesn't work, don't worry Skyrim is still a sh!t ton of fun by itself
catsintexas Good luck not getting banned from the playstation.
Jingles, I'm so glad you've decided to do this, I love your let's plays, and I've been really looking forward to this :)
Quick question, if you've decided yet... What armour type will Claudius wear- Heavy or Light?
ahhhh good, old and trust worthy Skyrim
I'm really enjoying this character. He's quite amusing.
man your mods make this game look amazing i wish mine looked like that but im no good at installing mods at least i can get the ones in the steam workshop
Thanks for the template for a really good modded game. I downloaded most of those mods.
I played with no HUD for a long time lol, added realism and a challenge, also no fast traveling or waiting.
Im amused by the thought of a drunk Jingles stumbling out of the room shouting at the poor, taken-aback locals "Learn to make bricks you barbarians!" before hiccupping and stumbling back to his room to grumble about expensive pie.
