Bought this on cassette when it first came out. These guys only put out this album. Anyone that's a fan of John Bonham needs to listen to this album. The drum mix is great on this and Kurt gets that HUGE bass drum sound
Their follow-up album Lost Treasure came out 28 years later (3 years after your comment) th-cam.com/play/OLAK5uy_kOpp-ZnxqMW6LsqA4LtJCe3du4ZW_2Du8.html
One of my favorite 80s bands. This album was awesome. Never got their do, heard they were back together. Wildside and Babylon AD also awesome, never got respect. Check them out.
I saw these guys in 1990 in Cambridge Ontario ... the were great!!!! We lost power that nite and these guys played in the dark for aprox. 2hrs then after the generator got hooked up they played even longer EXCELLENT concert!!!
I have the remasteref album with extra trax..stunning album..I bought the original cd when it came out too!🎸🇬🇧🤘..seriously..have frickin hot is that solo?..knickers off girls time solo!!!!
This record was recorded so much better than the other crap out at the time. Well maybe except the Tora Tora Surprise Attack record or even the Bulletboys first and second. The drums on this are rad. Huge and very 70’s throwback. Not all the slick producing tricks other bands were up to. Yeah dudes voice has its moments but when he’s good he’s badass. Check out Lonesome Fool and Sacrifice Me as well by these guys.
JImmy was a great vocalist! Pete played the perfect guitar riffs for the song! Kurt was obviously a drumming machine!! And Michael Hannon was a complete rock star on stage! He and I played some great originals together when we moved back from LA!
Scott Thorson That's right, man: wasn't there a live version of 'come along' on there? Awesome.I always liked this band but none of my mates 'got them' at all...
Summer of 92 stationed at Castle AFB in California Friday afternoons the old CV M100's out on the balcony and this blasting to announce the weekend party had started
Yes! What a tune and what an album...! Salty Dog and and another overlooked band Junkyard! Two bands from that era that should have been massive, but sadly not.
Released the same day on the same label as smells like Shit.... I mean teen spirit......sorry. Better song writing and far superior musical ability weren't the orderof that time sadly.
How I wish they put out more music. My wife and I LOVE this song!
They had an album out couple years ago its on their youtube channel.
I danced to this song when I was in my 20's as a dancer.
that must have been lovely.
Haha!!! So did I 🥰
Haha!! Yup I still rock out to all the 80’s rock and metal. ❤️❤️❤️ Always been a rocker queen lol 😁
I did and used to freak everyone out haha! They were always asking me if I worshipped the devil and just stare at me.
lol i probably watched you .... then tried to take u home with me 🤣
If you're listening to this in 2021 YOU ROCK!!!!
possibly THE most underated So-Cal band of the 80's...explosively Bluesy... wow

I used to play this cassette every day when I was younger.

Sweet little baby, she’s my hot dog bun. - killer opening line! Also, killer bass and guitar riff to get it all started.
Got my cd still, the neighborhood hears it quite often.

Always loved this tune! They don;t rock out like this anymore! SHIETT!
This song reminds me of Z-ROCK "The baddest station, in the nation!"
Those were some fun times.
No shit!!👍👍🤘🤘
"The most dangerous station in the nation!"
They did both.
Very under rated band that didn't get the chance!!!
Love it back then ...love it even better now....🤘🤘
she's my hotdog bun hehe what a line !
this was a good album, great band.
I have the remasteref album with extra trax..stunning album..I bought the original cd when it came out too!🎸🇬🇧🤘..seriously..have frickin hot is that solo?..knickers off girls time solo!!!!
Agreed!!!! Snuck in to see them in Austin Texas at the tender age of 14💋🤘🏽

Tora Tora!!!!!
Just discovered these guys , good band from the late 80´s
Salty Dog, like many of their contemporaries, were better then the bands selling out arenas. Dirty Looks we're another band like Salty Dog. Stellar.
Love this song.
JImmy was a great vocalist! Pete played the perfect guitar riffs for the song! Kurt was obviously a drumming machine!! And Michael Hannon was a complete rock star on stage! He and I played some great originals together when we moved back from LA!
Loved this record when I bought it - I first discovered this band from "Metalhead Video Magazine."
Scott Thorson That's right, man: wasn't there a live version of 'come along' on there? Awesome.I always liked this band but none of my mates 'got them' at all...
One year late for the reply.Yep. Discovered them first on VHS. That live version was great.
Me to. Discovered Janes Addiction on the same episode.... And the the shocker soundtrack I believe haha
Bassplayer Michael Hannon is kicking ass in American Dog for the last 15 years

This video kicks some SERIOUS ass!! Great jam. Too bad these guys never released anymore albums, would like to have heard more.
I remember hearing this on 1330 AM Stereo back in like the fall of 1989 I think or maybe 90
Banger! Still got the original CD and cassette 😎

Summer of 92 stationed at Castle AFB in California Friday afternoons the old CV M100's out on the balcony and this blasting to announce the weekend party had started

Great tune and I love the video.
Wore this cassette out! Great music, timing was bad, hair bands were dying off to grunge...
Ahhhhh, the heydays! I miss them. Such a simpler time…
She put fire to my candle is my favorite line in the is song
I had it back in the day.

Good ole days!

Jimmy Bleacher was the vocalist.

Tremendo rock N roll
Fun song
Yes! What a tune and what an album...! Salty Dog and and another overlooked band Junkyard! Two bands from that era that should have been massive, but sadly not.
Our band is opening for Junkyard tomorrow night in Norton West By God Smile When You Say It Virginia!
Is the drummer sean kinney??? I think it is??? If not i love this damn song. My mouths drooling and the metronome speeds up so right baby?!!!!
It's a shame a bad contract and shady management destroyed these guys.
How does a band put out a killer first song or near first but first I have seen , and then disappear.
awesome
This song is HOT!
that's cool
you're welcome@
Salty Dog should been bigger. Great band
Best Evar :D

Released the same day on the same label as smells like Shit.... I mean teen spirit......sorry. Better song writing and far superior musical ability weren't the orderof that time sadly.
OK, sure, and the 1st line of this song is "Sweet little baby, she's my hot dog bun."
Rock and roll was doing just fine until Nirvana 'came along'.
