It's fantastic and I hope Longines builds in the direction of this watch - Si/COSC movement, good date window placement, focus on fewer iconic designs. Really excited for the future of the brand.. I hope they bring out more annual calendar watches in particular
Lovely. Needs a display case back to show that lovely in house movement, & an on-the-fly micro adjust on the bracelet. The adjustable strap clasp is a work of pure genius!
Talk about value for money! The blue dial on the bracelet is really screaming my name. I love my Spirit Chrono, this would be a nice brother/sister watch :)
I also have the Spirit Chrono, bought it last year at Longines Boutique Ala Moana mall. Went back two days ago and it was offered by Kenny L. I got the green with brown leather.
It's very good to see that Swatch Group has finally cottoned on to the enormous advantages that the Longines name still has, after a long period when it had moved from being one of the absolute prestige names in Swiss watches to being perceived more in the lower-tier luxury bracket at best. This 'Spirit' range in its entirety is a genuine attempt to recapture some of that lost ground at least, with COSC standard movements I believe across the line, and the high-quality finishing, combined with a genuine touch of class that was always associated with the Longines watches of a long time ago. This particular GMT watch, I think, is a really good proposition at the higher end of GMTs, and with its history in aviation watches - second to none at all - I would think it should do extremely well. Also, by the way, this new product development guy clearly knows what he's doing in his plans to resuscitate luxury proposition idea in the brand and I hope he succeeds. Good video as well.
Very nice, I want a GMT and at this price point it's hard to beat Longines for quality and value. Already have the blue Spirit 40mm so tempted by the green bezel GMT. Updated bracelet looks great but think I'd go for a strap.
Alexander - congratulations on a fantastic channel. Always so informative, entertaining and easy to follow. This watch checks all of the boxes I’ve been looking for in a GMT. Reasonable size, beautiful color options, true GMT and waterproof to 100m. On top of that, great value for the money. Great package Longines! 👍
Longines has been absolutely knocking it out of the park lately. A brand with an amazing heritage making a gorgeous traveler's GMT, pricing it reasonably, with an in house movement and guessing from the dimensions, great wearability . What more could one ask for?

Hi Alexander, The best watch from Longines now - what a stunning piece. Congrats Longines - a real package for watch lovers. Longines back on the track to the top at affordable prices - a real Bravo! Great Job! Love the Longines Starbucks! Why waiting for years for the overpriced pieces from the other brand. Let's call the AD. Greetings from Germany
I'm really impressed with this watch so far, but as always we need to see it at the AD and check the quality. The blue option has my name on it, and I feel that this watch looks particularly good on the strap. Whether the movement is as good as the current version of the MT 5652 remains to be seen. Certainly the Tudor doesn't have the 24 hour hand wobble when adjusting the time zone (check the Hodinkee video) so Longines really needs to address this.
Speaking for myself, Longines are the new Omega. I expect Omega probably have superior movements but this Spirit line fill a gap Omega have discarded for the average guy in the street. I don't want a watch on my wrist that I'm afraid to wear down the high street due to it's value, I want a watch that looks good, makes me feel good and is good quality! Longines nailed it again!
@@WatchAdvisor I own an Omega Seamaster 2254.50 and have owned a Speedmaster and Planet Ocean, I also owned a Longines Spirit 42mm which I loved and is great value but I traded in for the Flyback in blue but am now currently trading up for the titanium version at my local small dealer branch for the `Redback` as I call it. I'm a blue collar manual worker and spend my hard earned money with caution but still want that good quality product. Longines are nailing it with the Spirit line because it has great classic design, and I personally believe Omega are losing it, but they know what their target market is and I very much doubt I'm part of it.
Longines has done an amazing job improving their anti reflective coating sapphire glass on the Spirit lineup. Now you can appreciate the details of the beautiful dials. I wish they continue this practice on their Master Collection. I currently own a beautiful blue sunray dial master collection that is like walking with a mirror. You can’t appreciate the dial. But this Spirit collection is stunning. There is a lot of watch under $3,000 USD. Exceptional value. I love it! Thank you Alexander sharing another great video.
I sat down with several GMTs.... Cost wasn't an option. The green bezel Spirit Zulu was what I got. It's a magnificent watch that punches well above its weight.
Congratulations! May your Zulu Time always show you happy seconds, minutes and hours… Please keep us posted and share some thoughts without us after you wore it a while… this kind of direct feedback is the best we can get…
I like the blue sunburst, the black and green in that order. A black sunburst would be nice too. I have a Daytona and looking for a GMT. I like your Hydro Conquests Chrono's automatic as well.
Liked for the strict rules on what is and isn’t GMT! Yes I needs jumping hour hand! And it must not stop the movement! So many other watches claim to be GMT or world time but don’t do this correctly. Glad I’m not the only one talking it seriously 😆. The 72hr PR is impressive too!
Excellent introduction to a very enjoyable watch. I have one. Note that the camera boosts the green of the ceramic bezel. In person, the bezel is a darker green that integrates with the anthracite face perfectly, showing the green but without shouting it. In bright sunlight the bezel becomes more prominent but still nicely balanced to the overall watch. Truly well executed watch. I checked the timing - mine is running at +2 sec per day or better; well within spec. Very happy with this watch.
Thanks for sharing … feedback coming from the final customer ist the best…. May your Zulu Time continue to always show you happy seconds, minutes and hours!
As always, excellent presentation. Let Longines know that there doing fantastic with there design 🎨. I would love to see their interpretation of a submariner esthetic with Longines design superiority. This would move me to a buy, but to honest I'm already tempted. Recently purchased Tissot PRX Powermatic 80.
Beautiful watch! Longines really at the top of their game with the Spirit range! I just ordered the new Flyback but have to wait as the store I bought from doesn't carry it in stock. I love the Spirit range, not a model in it I don't like!
Chapeau indeed, these look to be exceptional watches. The green bezel on bracelet is my favourite too. I can't think of any other brand who comes close on quality for the price and it's possible to pay more and get less, despite the persuasiveness of rivals' marketing efforts. I've owned multiple brands and Longines have been without fault.
@@WatchAdvisor i see. i hope they'll make smaller version with the same colour scheme. I'd buy that. p.s. they made a 37mm. maybe they can put bezel there with the colour of green zulu but without gmt. that'll look great. anyhow i really like the watch. lol
Outstanding review! I ordered the Anthracite on bracelet. The Blue dial is stunning, however, and a very close second. Might have to get both! Thank you for the entertaining and informative analysis. Cheers!
I am very impressed with the classy look of the Spirit zulu with green bezel and leather strap. Aside from excellent quality, it's a very sharp watch. It will be my next purchase.
In my opinion Longines has done the impossible on this watch. With all that you get for the $3000 US dollars they even go one step further and make band interchange as easy as push buttons. This is a crucial feature in my watch purchases and something most watch manufacturing companies don't do even Omega and they should. You are not going to go for a swim with your leather band on. Hence the need for the bracelet and the interchangeability to the leather band. Longines offers this package on their Spirit prestige line with three band choices in the box. BRILLANT! Even the Omega Globemaster does not have this feature and I wish it did. Stay the course Longines you are doing it right. Don't wait for a Rolex GMT and save yourself a lot of money and get this watch instead.
Excellent as usual WA! Longines is moving upmarket. Very well executed piece...in the modern Longines Pantheon with the BigEye and titanium Spirit pilot watch!
Delightful offerings from a company I'm looking more closely at for the reason of their adhesion to history, integrity and fine manufacture. While I would prefer an adjustable metal hairspring, silicon is not, at least in this case, a deal breaker and anyhow, I am easily seduced by domed crystals. My choice would be the black dial version. Very enjoyable review as always....thank you.
Thankyou Alexander and Giuseppe for showing these new pieces. The repositioning of the date to the six position works brilliantly for symmetry. These will certainly be on my list to look at at the AD at some point. Longines continue to impress with the models being released. I cannot make a choice as to my favourite colour combination until I see them in life but from this video the blue would be my preference by a whisker with the others tied a very close second. That on the fly strap adjustment might well sway me as well. A 48 click bezel would have been nice for those cities that do not have a full hour differential from Zulu time though given that I work with some countries that have a 1/2 hour offset. Thank you again both for sharing.
Lovely new watch from Longines. Just a little bit too thick for my wrist. But I'm sure that there will be a target audience for this watch! Thanks for the awesome video Alexander!
I love this watch. I visited AD, tried the black one on leather strap. Tried the Anthracite on bracelet. Buying decision: Anthracite on leather strap + additional bracelet. Now I got to wait 3-4 weeks for my order. Apparently this watch is so popular they can't produce it fast enough xD My only complain so far is that they don't offer both strap+bracelet in a set, so that the box can store either one, which is not used at the time.
That watch is unbeatable in its price bracket and many thousand franks above. For me personally i‘d like to see a version similar to the titanium spirit three hander.
I'm a big guy being 6'4 with a 7.1 inch wrist, and I've been in the market for a gmt. Either this or the Tudor GMT. But I have to say, as an aviator, this one speaks to me. And I wouldn't have to worry about date issues right off the bat. I like that it's 1mm bigger than the BB GMT as well
The only way to find out is to try them both on your wrist 1:1 in different light conditions and then let your heart decide… it won’t lie… Please keep us posted!
Beautiful watches. On strap it looks perfect. The brazalete’s clasp is large and clunky appearing. I think that was a missed opportunity. I agree, I would wear it with the leather strap or look for an alternative on the brazalete/ clasp.
Just GORGEOUS. I hope our friends from the crown are really putting attention. Here we have good-looking watches, that are AVAILABLE. Well done Longines, sign me up I will get one of these beauties. Thank you Alexander for the amazing video.Best regards
Yes, they are available and you get value for the money… If you are self confident enough and you don’t need the status, these watches offer you everything…
If there was blue version of this watch but with a 60 clicks "diver's" bezel instead of 24 click zulu one, I would not be able to resist getting this one. Seems amazing in so many ways.
I loved thier hydroconquest, especially the green botique one, but I am not a diver collector, more of a GMT and worldtimer. This Zulu Time just killed it now. I love gold and green. That long seconds and GMT hand is another big hitter for me. Thier archive is actually amazing (if it wasn't becuase of swatch pushing omega), Longines is still globally top 5 in sales (losing thier 3 positiong to cartier this year). I see a come back in the 3rd position in 2023. #longinesslove #zulutime The price point being the same as a Montblanc Heritage GMT which have no date and come in a strap, this is amazingly priced as well. Do noitce the GMT hand moving which the hours hands is adjusted.
That's a great review for a refreshing new watch! I was a fan of the spirit titanium and was thinking of adding one, but after seeing this I have a new favorite!
Great video, Alex. You are first out of the gate as usual with new timepiece content. This offering is solid and will challenge the Tudor Black Bay GMT in many respects. It seems like they made an even better product than the original spirit in 42mm with the better date window placement and also the shorter lugs. I have to say these Zulu models are made better than their retail price would suggest given the movement, dial layering, applied markers, case finishing, and use of a ceramic bezel. Another great move towards elevating this historic and storied brand!
I would easily pay a thousand more for a titanium case and bracelet, Master Chronometer certification, and a "**** you" black and red laquered aluminum bezel. Longines is on one! Thanks for the vid Alex!
Hi yes blue every time. Have Longines reduced the Lug to Lug measurement compared with to the original Spirit 42mm, would love to see a 40mm version of GMT moving the date to 6 o’clock is the right move. The original with date at 3 o’clock was unbalanced in relation to the indices.
Can it keep up with Tudor's GMT movement? Other than lack of micro-adjustment, the Zulu Time has great specs and to me, a more compelling design. If the fit and finish is good, I might go for the matte black dial with the blue GMT hand on a metal bracelet.
Can Tudor's most lacklustre & underwhelming 2022 new releases ''keep up'' with all the hard work that Longines have shown in producing this Spirit Zulu Time Collection & for me they can't in this instance.....
@@frankbrennan1619 I agree with you on this take. I think Longines worked harder and it shows, but as a consumer, I need to check it out in person to see/feel if the build quality (not the technology or design) leans more like $2k or $4k. It's been a while since I checked out a Tudor before, but last I recall the build quality was solid.

Yesssss! So true! Some still try to compare it with the Autavia… Well, 🤷🏼♂️
I sat down with several GMTs.... Cost wasn't an option. The green bezel Spirit Zulu was what I got. It's a magnificent watch that punches well above its weight.
Congratulations! May your Zulu Time always show you happy seconds, minutes and hours… Please keep us posted and share some thoughts without us after you wore it a while… this kind of direct feedback is the best we can get…
Beautiful ! Yes I do want one and I hope it will be in Jacksonville Florida soon .
Which one do you have in mind? Deliveries should start soon by the way…
I like the blue sunburst, the black and green in that order. A black sunburst would be nice too. I have a Daytona and looking for a GMT. I like your Hydro Conquests Chrono's automatic as well.
Let us know if you bought it and please share some thoughts about the Zulu Time with us ... In case you have any questions, let me know...
@@WatchAdvisor Will do
Another excellent video, thank you for sharing these amazing watches!
You are very welcome! Thanks for your kind feedback!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and passion with us!
Thanks for the lug to lug distance information!
My pleasure!
Beautiful watch! Longines really at the top of their game with the Spirit range! I just ordered the new Flyback but have to wait as the store I bought from doesn't carry it in stock. I love the Spirit range, not a model in it I don't like!
Thanks for sharing, please keep us posted....
Great looking watches! Such a trick micro-adjustment system with the deployant clasps 👌
Pretty cool I’d say… and so easy to handle…
This looks like a home run from Longines!
It is a home run 😜
Chapeau indeed, these look to be exceptional watches. The green bezel on bracelet is my favourite too.
I can't think of any other brand who comes close on quality for the price and it's possible to pay more and get less, despite the persuasiveness of rivals' marketing efforts. I've owned multiple brands and Longines have been without fault.
It is easy to pay more and get less… I dare to say: every competitor offers less…
This video tipped me over the edge, green bezel with anthracite dial on the way!
Bravo! Congratulations! Please keep us posted and share some thoughts with us hen you have it...
Just take my money please!!!these dials are well designed, especially the date window is fixed, the green bezel is gorgeous.
Well that’s passion! Love it! Thanks for sharing…
Longines is killing it. Absolutely amazing watch, especially for the price.
They are killing it - yes! And this is only the beginning of what you will see this year…
@@WatchAdvisor Im more excited about what brands like Longines release than Rolex and AP
Really nice watch - Tudor is getting a real competition here ;) Thanks for the video… one thing tho I really hate the five stars on the dial…
Tudor is NOT getting one, Tudor already has one… and a tough one on top…
@@WatchAdvisor true but that tough one on top is bloody hard to get :)
Love at first sight with the Zulu time (green) but we're not meant to be together because it's 42mm. i hope they'll make one in sub 40mm.
I don't expect Longines to offer a smaller size ... it is meant to be a watch with excellent readability...
@@WatchAdvisor i see. i hope they'll make smaller version with the same colour scheme. I'd buy that.
p.s. they made a 37mm. maybe they can put bezel there with the colour of green zulu but without gmt. that'll look great. anyhow i really like the watch. lol
Loving the blue Zulu on the bracelet.
The combination blue & strap is my favorite one…
Outstanding review! I ordered the Anthracite on bracelet. The Blue dial is stunning, however, and a very close second. Might have to get both! Thank you for the entertaining and informative analysis. Cheers!
You are very welcome! I am happy to read this... Once you get yours please share some thoughts with us...
Lovely. Rather have one of these than a Tudor
I am very impressed with the classy look of the Spirit zulu with green bezel and leather strap. Aside from excellent quality, it's a very sharp watch. It will be my next purchase.
Bravo! Thanks for sharing your passion with us! Please keep us posted…
Well done Longines !!!!! and thank you Alexander always with the best of the best content with our favorite brands!!! Greetings from Mexico
You are very welcome! Love your comment… may I ask: which one is your favorite?
@@WatchAdvisor I used to be a blue guy like you but now I will go for black/green all steel. What a great watch Tudor must be trembling :) !! Lol
@@yaaxarr8977 The competition is a friendly one and it motivates both parties.
Thanks Alexander for the great video!
I am happy to read this! Which one is you favorite?
@@WatchAdvisor Black dial with Blue text on a bracelet :)
Thanks for sharing!
Excellent as usual WA! Longines is moving upmarket. Very well executed piece...in the modern Longines Pantheon with the BigEye and titanium Spirit pilot watch!
Longines in fact is moving upmarket… there is more to come… you will like these watches…
Longines increased their Designs. The Spirit Zulu Time is an amazing design. Looking Forward to the best steps of Longines. Great Contest, as always.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us! It is not the last time Longines will surprise you this year… 😜
Delightful offerings from a company I'm looking more closely at for the reason of their adhesion to history, integrity and fine manufacture.
Very good input with the 48 clicks! Didn’t think about it… That’s something I’ll pass on to Giuseppe for sure…
Lovely new watch from Longines. Just a little bit too thick for my wrist. But I'm sure that there will be a target audience for this watch! Thanks for the awesome video Alexander!
You are very welcome! Try the Zulu Time on your wrist, you probably will like it since it really wears good…
Lovely looking capable watch - very tempting!
Good choice! Congratulations! Anticipation is the greatest joy… 😉 Please share some thoughts with us once you got your Zulu Time…
That watch is unbeatable in its price bracket and many thousand franks above. For me personally i‘d like to see a version similar to the titanium spirit three hander.
In titanium… that would be gorgeous indeed… 👍🏻
Oh my word do love this watch, like the power reserve and how the lollipop second had is on the seconds track, lovely.
Don’t forget the incredible all over quality, the silicon hairspring and all that for less than 3000 Euro…
I'm a big guy being 6'4 with a 7.1 inch wrist, and I've been in the market for a gmt. Either this or the Tudor GMT. But I have to say, as an aviator, this one speaks to me. And I wouldn't have to worry about date issues right off the bat. I like that it's 1mm bigger than the BB GMT as well
Let your heart decide! It won't lie... 😉 Thanks for sharing with us ... please keep us posted...
Very nice watches. I already bought the Spirit Titanium a few days ago, so not too envious of these siblings.
Congratulations! May your Spirit always show you happy seconds, minutes and hours….
Thanks for the nice presentation! I would love a matt black version with gold details on the dial. I hope they release it one day.
Tudor need to take notes, I’m very tempted by this. Probably the blue, but the green is a beauty too.
Tudor is aware of Longines! 😜
Great! I was waiting for a watch like this. Well done! And thanks for presenting, dear Alexander!
You are very welcome! Which one do you like the most?
@@WatchAdvisor The blue one on a brown leather strap (not blue, too much).
Great video and review! I'm having such a hard time deciding if I want the green or black....Both are stunning!
Great video Alexander! great releases from Longines! Bravo.
Thanks for the kind feedback!
Longines are really killing it atm
This watch is really nice.
Which one would you choose?
@@WatchAdvisor Green bezel version as I already own the blue spirit 40mm.
was thinking about buying bb gmt but this is changing my mind
Good idea! Let me know if you have any questions...
I live in Greenwich London and since I’m not going to be travelling much it seems all my watches are GMT watches.
Hahaha that’s a good one. 👍🏻
Good work. Perfect. Congratulations. Well done. Thanks Longines.
Again an awesome video, thanks! And what a fantastic release from Longines! Sooo hard to choose color 😀
Any favorite so far? Bracelet or strap?
Thanks for sharing your passion with us! Please do notice that the watches we filmed already in January still were prototypes...
That's a great review for a refreshing new watch! I was a fan of the spirit titanium and was thinking of adding one, but after seeing this I have a new favorite!
Thanks for sharing and your kind feedback! Which one do you have in mind?
@@WatchAdvisor the green looks cool! Although better to go see them in person.
Thanks again!
@@leothepet In fact the best you can do…
Thank you for the presentation Alexander! Loved it as always.
Love your comment, thanks for sharing!
I saw these in on IG earlier. The blue dial is my favorite of the trio. 👌
Oh, and can't forget the traveler's jumping hour hand!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and passion with us! Longines still is underrated… this Zulu Time again proves it…
Awesome Zulu watch for the price. Should sell both bracelet and strap as a combo.
You can buy each separately and exchange them yourself…
I would easily pay a thousand more for a titanium case and bracelet, Master Chronometer certification, and a "**** you" black and red laquered aluminum bezel. Longines is on one! Thanks for the vid Alex!
You are very welcome, thanks for sharing your thoughts with us…
Hi yes blue every time.
Longines is a great brand! If you want approval from others then go for the tudor
Beautiful watch. And since my favorite brand (that has a letter from the Greek alphabet as it's logo and name) hasn't released a GMT watch in years, this a good option.
Thanks for sharing!
