The amazing thing about this guy is he doesn't take the altitude for granted, no matter how high he flighs or how how many years he has gotten high. Too often the paraglider narrative is about location or equipment or conditions instead of the raw awe of being suspended only by air a mile above the earth.
Awesome video, a few of us flew well above 3000m over constriction the other day, some up to 3990m. The views of the Cedarberg from up there are like none other!
Another brilliant video and story Greg! I was wondering where you'd got to as it's been a while since your last TH-cam video post - great to have you back and to see what adventures you've been having!
Hi Greg, I went to Kardoesie last Christmass, launching maybe to late in strong thermal, it was arround mid-day… and flying one hour long de ridge southly, our plan was to get height enough to jump to Citrusdal and cross north-westly but the ceiling was to low and the small thermal-bullets to agressifs🙂. But we had a taste of your fantastic here-presented fly, thanks to you i can imagine what it could be…houhou, extraordinary and frightening at the same time 😮😊 and to land in the middle of nowhere… warm ! Really warm 😅. Thank you very much for sharing this adventure in this wild and splendid country 😊
Great video, One thought I would use after seeing this (provided you are not conflicting with aviation rules) is for both parties to carry a decent LASER pointer of some sort as a back up.
Epic flight! So envious. That launch from "Kardussie" seems very close to the top of Piekenierskloof Pass. Fairly new site I presume? I used to have some epic walk outs & two day retrieves way back in the 80's....
excelente pensaste alguna vez volar por Perú ya que ahí para llegar de una lado hay muchas montañas y volar acortaría los viajes, personalmente quisiera hacerlo algún día, saludos de un Peruano que vive en Argentina.

great adventures Greg, super job and great team work
Rob Smith!! All round nice guy and legend. I slept out the night about 50km from Calvinia after a 26km walk. Next time, I need a Rob 😂
Great to see you back Greg! You were quiet for so long, almost got worried...
High quality Videos 🎉 keep it up
You're the men 🪂

Epic, I love these videos Greg. It truly inspires me to fly and achieve my dreams. I love the Karoo.
Awesome flight
I love such adventure videos. 🥰
OMG. I was worried for you there! The fact that you uploaded the video was a clue that all was to be OK.
Awesome country
Excellent! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your effort making this video 🤩🤩
Chapeau Greg 💪🏻
Great video and even better commentaries! Say hello to the "other Greg" 😉
Good job
Another great adventure! Been a while since you posted anything, glad to see it!
nice one Greg, saw you on Livetrack a few days in December and wondered what adventures you were up to
Nice Greg…
Will be around there in 3 weeks. If you're still wandering around in the desert, we might give you a lift ;)
Flippen lekker flight! 🍻🍻
legendd! 😎
Silly question, why not fly back? surely there's a thermal there somewhere?
You’re my paragliding hero! I love SA. How the heck is your pack so tiny?! My EN-B wing with Axess 5 harness seems huge in comparison.
Greg, what is model your radio holder? I want to buy the same. Thank you!

👏👏👏
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Mate, you're the Eminem of paragliding - a lyrical poet. Another cracking video, so glad i wasn't suffering in the desert with you 😋
Greg is amazing....the slim...na lil toooo shady these days!😂
The question is: Are you still high when it finishes?😂😂😂
I would like to learn how to paraglide but I can't stand that irritating beeping sound of variometer.
That's the most beautiful sound my friend. If you don't like the one like that, you can find vario with custom tune like duck🪿 sound or something..😂
