What’s your experience with RF lenses? Can’t find videos anywhere on this topic Maybe a video idea? Talk about how it looks without all the corrections canon does on their bodies, the AF or use of MF ring as well as how the IS works in the body. This is something I’ve been considering a lot coming from the R5C.
Man - love my KX. The audio port is kinda weird but the preamp rocks. The Mid49 XLR seems to be well liked by other owners. It’s really tiny. I don’t use it, I just have the cable, but sometimes I’d rather just plug it into an adapter for durability/longevity reasons. Enjoy Matt!
@@WakeUpMatt (this Brandon, just my other channel) Mutiny just told me they are coming out with a XLR/3.5 soon. That's the one I'm going to get cause mutiny make killer products.
Nice!! I'm definitely loving the Ember. I wish I could incorporate it into more projects. It's been super fun to shoot with. Should be coming out with a review video for it in February!
The Dulens lenses are killer! I honestly don't think a pro mist is needed with them. Awesome rig looking forward to seeing some footage. Happy new year!
Happy New Year! You're right. The pro mist was more for when I use my Canon lenses. Definitely stoked to use the Dulens KX combo though! Can't wait to share the footage!
I’ve never used one, but could be a great solution! I’ve heard lots of good things about it. I just figured I’d need a matte box anyways since I like to add promist, so I went with the Nisi one so I could get everything in one package.
love your videos! so sad you decided not to use the pro io ,it is really useful(at least for me)BTW you may forgot to mount the front piece on the top handle
Thanks so much! I just wanted to keep everything as compact as possible. The "missing" front piece allowed me to get a little more room for the monitor to move forward for certain angles while filming.
Nice rig mate! I’ve got the C5 myself and love it. Have been looking at the DULENS series and I’m curious about how that combination looks like! Ntg3 here and a7sIII/ninja v☺️ I’d probably get a follow focus like a tilta mini or nucleus nano II.
Dang, that's sweet! I have been eyeing this for awhile, so expensive tho. Hope you get some great stuff with it. Keeping the C70? I really do like my C70 internal NDs..
Let me know your thoughts on the KX!! Did I miss anything?
Nothing like the excitement of a new rig. Especially when you get the pieces all at once. Congrats!!
So true! Thank you!!🙏🏼
DUDE YES!!!! Congrats man! Awesome camera
Thanks brother! Your videos were super helpful before getting this!
would LOVE to see Red coming out with a smaller monitor
That would be awesome!
Great kit! Love the simplicity. I have mine rigged too big, honestly. Sometimes I forget the power in keeping it much more maneuverable!

Thanks for the tip on the Mid49 XLR. I'll look into that for sure! Excited to keep playing around with it to see what works best!

@@caffeinatedcameras Nice! Good to know. I'll keep my eye out for it, for sure!! Thanks man!
Dang the Ember and now the Komodo-X!? The last 2 cameras I rented! 🙌 How are you liking the Ember!? I'm trying to decide which one to buy this spring!

@@WakeUpMatt Awesome! That's my worry too, is I will never want to shoot with anything else. Can't wait to see the review!
Congrats! I have Komodo OG and still great. You will love it.
Killer build! So stoked for you!
Thanks dude! Wish we could shoot some projects together!🤘🏼

congrats on the purchase! living vicariously through this video right now 😂
Thanks! Can’t wait to share more projects shot on this!
Hey Matt, nice Rig. I just ordered my KX & wanted to ask if the 5 pin to XLR Cable is working & if its supporting phantom power. thanks upfront!
Clean setup dude!
Appreciate it!🤘🏼
Not in the market for a RED, but enjoyed learning about it anyway. Nicely presented.
much appreciated, as always!!
So awesome!!!
Thanks brother!!🤘🏼
Congratulations, my dream camera
Thanks so much! Can't wait to share what I shoot with it!
what about the revolva kipper tie ND system? almost like internal ND ?

dude congrats ! is there a chance that you could uploud some raw files so that we can test out the footage ourselve?!
Great call! I’ve got a ton of KX videos coming soon and I’ll make sure to link some clips!
@@WakeUpMatt thank ya sir
Yea buddy. Welcome to the KX club. Do you dp or AC. I’m located on Oahu but Maui is just a stone throw away
Thanks! Stoked to be apart of it. I mostly DP and love working/ visiting Oahu! 😄
Great video. Thanks for the information. What type of mount are your Dulens? And what adapter are you using?
The Dulens lenses come in PL mount or EF. I switched them over to EF and use the canon RF to EF adapter.
Congrats! Thanks for sharing it. ✌️
Thanks for watching!!😄🤙🏼

That’s awesome! You’ve got a killer setup. Definitely can’t go wrong with Dulens. They just take forever to ship.

It’s definitely not cheap! Unfortunately I had to sell my c70 to get the KX. I did really love those internal NDs as well!
@@WakeUpMatt can I ask what you sold your C7 four, how much? I’ve been thinking about putting mine on the market.
Looks awesome
Thank you!!🤙🏼
Congratulations
Thank you!!🙏🏼
cry......
The monitor itself is decent, but that hinge will break on you in a month or two. Horrible quality and design.
Mine is still working but they released a „monitor upgrade hinge“.
Maybe that has better quality.
I’ll have to check that out too. I’ve had zero issues with the original one though
So awesome!!!
