These are the first apartment tips that I wish I would have known before moving into my first apartment.
Moving into your first apartment comes with a lot of excitement and a lot of unknowns. Even with all the research I did before moving into my first apartment, there was so much that I didn't know about.
To help anyone else that is moving into an apartment, I am telling you the first apartment tips I've learned and everything I wish I would have known before moving in.
I am going to cover everything from decor, to money, to where to shop for the best deals, to the different essentials I forgot to buy, and more.
I'm basically trying to cover anything and everything that I would have found really helpful and know would be really helpful for you before moving into your own apartment.

My boyfriend and are moving into our first apartment in July! After watching your video I'm so relieved that I'm not the only one that super overthinks money! I've been literally trying to map out everything we will need while trying to remain on a budget. I've never actually had many expenses so that thought of moving out and acquiring all of the expenses that come along with it is terrifying!

Best tip I will give is, start buying things for your room before you move !! Like the little things being hand soap, sponges and store it under a bed, in closet, like get air fresheners, kitchen utensils get it all and worry about it less when You move

I just started the Dave Ramsey program a couple months ago while I’m still living at home and it’s helped me pay off my debt and start saving for my first apartment! I plan on moving in the next year. Coronavirus kind of pushed things back since I am furloughed from my job right now. I was hoping to move this fall.

hi!! I actually just had it stored at my parents in big tubs that I bought from Costco. I tried to plan the big stuff to arrive as close to my move-in date as possible so I didn't have to deal with storing it somewhere!

What was the total cost of everything you bought in preparation for moving if you don’t mind me asking? I’m really curious to know what is realistic! My style is very similar to yours so I imagine I’ll be buying like items. Haha
ooff. If we're being honest, probably at least $4,000 but I had NOTHING. And I bought furniture for a guest room. I also did get nicer things than probably necessary like a lot of my kitchen stuff I could have gone cheaper on. That also didn't count any of the decor which I'm slowly getting because everything is so dang expensive 😬
