When you realize Madara was low key kinda right considering every hokage can trace back to the Senju clan: three are directly Senju by blood and two were students of Senju teachings.
Every clan in the Leaf adopted the Senju clan’s philosophy of the Will of Fire and defending the ideals of the village. The uchiha were the only ones who kinda “rebelled” against it due to their pride.

The police force had no power, they only handle public affairs like theft or murders while the ANBU handle government and village matters which are important in a power struggle.
I wouldn't say they have no power, just no government influence. They still had social power and responsibilities. To put it in simple terms, the Uchiha were the police and the ANBU were the FBI/CIA/Federal agency. The problem was that, according to the accounts of many characters, the Uchiha's were pretty terrible at diplomacy. Arrogance and bad relations with the other clans, combined with their history and job as police enforcers caused them to be looked upon poorly by the rest of the village. A clan responsible for law enforcement and peace-keeping could have AMAZING social influence if only they weren't, for the most part, douches.

Sasuke is super misunderstood & so are Itachi's motives here. If Itachi didn't do what he did, the Uchiha still would've all died. The conflict in the leaf would've let other villages come in and wipe out everyone, Uchiha and every other leaf citizen, Sasuke included. On top of that, the Uchiha would've had a stained name for the rest of history. What he did was make himself look like the bad guy to save his clan name and save his brother. Also he did this at 13. Pretty much. At the end of the day, the Uchiha had to be either talked down or taken down. Sarutobi wanted to talk them down and try to reach a compromise, Danzo and the other 2 wanted to take them out. Either way, if things were left the Uchiha would have rebelled and they would either all get killed OR they would win but leave the village so crippled that the other villages would pounce on them like sharks on bloody water.

Yes. After time skip, there are some many flaws in Naruto story, even me as a fan, can't deny it. But also, there are some many great points in there. The first arc when Gaara got kidnapped, Pain arc, Itachi pursuit arc, and while the Fourth World War Shinobi is really decisive, but there are still jave a great moments, like Kushina meet Naruto, Kakashi vs Obito, Guy finally released his eight gate. In conclusion, Naruto isn't perfect, but still, I love this series and my top 3 of all time

And even if it were cast on a lot of Uchiha, it is possible for them to break from it eventually IF they are made aware by somebody or something that they are under an illusion. Possible situation: Shisui can use it on almost all Uchiha that's preparing for the coup, if there's a gathering before the coup. But not all Uchiha members will participate in the coup if you think about it (elderly, some women and children). Koto amatsukami is always subtle without the victim not aware they're being manipulated. It is possible for the victim to overcome its manipulation if they are faced with enough reason to believe that the implanted command is wrong and shouldn’t be followed. So members who are aware of the coup that are not under Shisui's genjutsu can help the rest be aware that they're being manipulated. This genjutsu is not continually overwriting the victim’s will with the caster’s which means that they can change their mind after it has first been cast. Or Itachi could use it on Fugaku, but it would only go against the collective will of the Uchiha. They'll either replace or kill him possibly. And go on with the coup. You can't just erase their hatred by manipulating their leader. Itachi did the thing that he thought would guarantee villages safety. But he also deemed himself a failure for having to resort to such methods to preserve the peace and stability of the village.

something to keep in mind is that while the hokage is a politcal and symbolic position its not a puppeted figurehead, the feudal lords are useless leaders but the hokage is supposed to be the absolute strongest and self sacrificing ninja ranking higher than all jonin in the village. like the ninja who can protect the entire village and say if anyones dying here its gonna be me first, but thats not happening today, and then actually wins. the kage are LEGENDS and usually have some insane jutsu and skill that make them nearly invincible except to other kage. Itachi does but I never thought Madara is a particularly complex character. He was a warlord who was born and raised in war and was excellent at it, so he only knew how to live at war. So when people wanted peace, he rebelled. After that it is just a story of him trying to regain power over his clan and take revenge on Hashirama and his legacy (Konoha)

Sasuke is super misunderstood & so are Itachi's motives here. If Itachi didn't do what he did, the Uchiha still would've all died. The conflict in the leaf would've let other villages come in and wipe out everyone, Uchiha and every other leaf citizen, Sasuke included. On top of that, the Uchiha would've had a stained name for the rest of history. What he did was make himself look like the bad guy to save his clan name and save his brother. Also he did this at 13. Of course his logic isn't perfect lol
Pretty much. At the end of the day, the Uchiha had to be either talked down or taken down. Sarutobi wanted to talk them down and try to reach a compromise, Danzo and the other 2 wanted to take them out.
Either way, if things were left the Uchiha would have rebelled and they would either all get killed OR they would win but leave the village so crippled that the other villages would pounce on them like sharks on bloody water.

the second hokage had reasons to scrutanize them, he wanted to stabilise the world without having to worry about uchiha's problelms, but it worked in the sort terms but not in the long one.

Yes. After time skip, there are some many flaws in Naruto story, even me as a fan, can't deny it. But also, there are some many great points in there. The first arc when Gaara got kidnapped, Pain arc, Itachi pursuit arc, and while the Fourth World War Shinobi is really decisive, but there are still jave a great moments, like Kushina meet Naruto, Kakashi vs Obito, Guy finally released his eight gate. In conclusion, Naruto isn't perfect, but still, I love this series and my top 3 of all time

And even if it were cast on a lot of Uchiha, it is possible for them to break from it eventually IF they are made aware by somebody or something that they are under an illusion.
Possible situation: Shisui can use it on almost all Uchiha that's preparing for the coup, if there's a gathering before the coup. But not all Uchiha members will participate in the coup if you think about it (elderly, some women and children). Koto amatsukami is always subtle without the victim not aware they're being manipulated. It is possible for the victim to overcome its manipulation if they are faced with enough reason to believe that the implanted command is wrong and shouldn’t be followed. Itachi did the thing that he thought would guarantee villages safety. But he also deemed himself a failure for having to resort to such methods to preserve the peace and stability of the village.

something to keep in mind is that while the hokage is a politcal and symbolic position its not a puppeted figurehead, the feudal lords are useless leaders but the hokage is supposed to be the absolute strongest and self sacrificing ninja ranking higher than all jonin in the village. like the ninja who can protect the entire village and say if anyones dying here its gonna be me first, but thats not happening today, and then actually wins. the kage are LEGENDS and usually have some insane jutsu and skill that make them nearly invincible except to other kage. So this stance that lets jsut assign a few people to be in charge so it looks neater wont go very far you dont get to be in charge unless you get people to beleive in you that you should be there.

Itachi does but I never thought Madara is a particularly complex character. He was a warlord who was born and raised in war and was excellent at it, so he only knew how to live at war. So when people wanted peace, he rebelled.
After that it is just a story of him trying to regain power over his clan and take revenge on Hashirama and his legacy (Konoha)

just as a reminder - its a shinobi village - a MILITARIZED organization - they BREED soldiers for hire. There is very OBVIOUS reasons why you dont put military under democracy in times of war (which is ALWAYS in the shinobi world) - its so tactics/strategies and war decisions dont get bogged down in crucial time sensitive times for literally ARBITRARY reasons. Why do you think in war times the President gets FULL CONTROL? you cant have a democracy in war times and expect to win unless you overpower them so completely that your inefficiency is irrelevant.
Democracy is for PEACFUL villages in PEACE TIMES to set proper foundations and reflect on mistakes made for future endeavors, it is NOT for shinobi villages (mercenary organizations) that are hired to mobilize at a moments notice - can u imagine even putting mobilization to democratic vote? you lose the initiative and thus the battle and thus the war for such stupidities...this is why we dont take societal lessons from youtubers ppl
