I can only tolerate merino socks, everything else I wear for hiking is mostly synthetic. Brilliant video, brilliant chanel, thanks!

I still use merino during the winter, mostly because I already own so much of it! It is still slightly warmer than synthetic, but outside of winter I pretty much only use synthetic clothing.

Great video, any recommendations on a synthetic quilt? Cheers

Enlightened Equipment seem to make good quilts. They're from Canada from my understanding?? I'm a bit out of the loop with American gear, if you're an Aussie there are a few garage gear brands that make synthetic quilts like Terra Rosa

@betterhiking yeah I'm in Australia, I like the idea in your video of protecting your down sleeping bag from condensation etc. I'm assuming your in Australia, anything you'd recommend?

Terra Rosa gear are Australian, undercling mike was the name of another bloke who made quilts and he was contacted via the bushwalk forums, I don’t think he makes quilts anymore.
I was considering ordering in Enlightened Equipment quilts despite them being overseas.
