For those who were wondering, Notion works on Mac, Windows and in browser. There’s also an app for mobile. I can only confirm it works for iPhone but I probably works for all mobile devices. 😊

I think this has been the absolute best video training on Notion that I’ve come across. I’ve bought a production template from someone and it was so complicated that there’s no sense in my using it. It works for him and I can see why for what he does but for me it was way too involved.seems so straightforward and simple which is what I really like. Thank you so much for making them available.

Can you please do a video on how you screen capture your desktop and how do you zoom in or out? That is something i want to learn but from you,as your explainations are clear and coincise.

Im trying to learn best use cases for Notion. In theory I love how it can be customized to no end. But Im still clinging to more structured products.
Personal Finance = Monarch
To-dos = TickTick
Business Projects + Workload Management = Asana
The one use case I think I will try to use Notion more will be for capturing notes, articles, and such. Maybe from there I will start building my Notion chops and delve into it more.
But damn, having to build everyone of these tools from scratch is just mind numbing.

This was so informative! I might just be sensitive as I suffer from migraines but cutting to and from the big brilliant white screen was hard to watch, would’ve loved to see a slightly darker screen to fit with the brightness of the rest of the video 🩶

This a great video, Ed! Inspired me to get my own systems in place before the start of the year. I've been trying to use Notion since a while but found it very cumbersome to use. After watching your video, I feel otherwise and will give it another shot. For the Finances section, is there a way to automatically pull in all your transactions from your bank account or did you have to do that manually?
Yes! It just takes a little getting used to but once you get it, you'll be able to build all your workflows around it. I do enter everything manually but it's mainly more high level review. For "every" transaction, I still use programs like quickbooks on the financial side of things
Can you also do a tutorial on how to brainstorm for a youtube video,from the idea stage to the closure of it,using NOTION. Thanx in advance
Thank you for this video! I have several templates I've either paid for, or downloaded and I'm overwhelmed...but don't want to get rid of them exactly. Is there a way to create a folder or save them elsewhere to be utilized later? It's driving them nuts having them all under the "personal" area in the sidebar.
What you can do is drive them into the 'private' tab on the left side. Then minimize the private tab by clicking on it. 100% feel you on the visual of it. I like keeping my tabs organized on the sidebar too!

Yeah! I have an "accounting day" once a month and on that day I spend about 2 hours just combing through my transactions, expenses, and getting a grip on my goals. It's really helpful
On the "Revenue" do you manually enter all the data or do you partially import?
Unfortunately, I do this manually once a month and call it my "finance" day

Notion AI is free for the first 50 commands I believe. They do charge a monthly fee for that feature

Can your financial dashboard do math formulas like a spreadsheet? For example, filter by a certain category, and then total them up for each month?
Yes, you can have any specific row do basic calculations for you like SUM of all the amounts in that row. Its at the very bottom where it says "calculate"
