1/35 WW2 Diorama (full build with realistic scenery) - Kursk 1943 - Sunflower Surprise

- Another diorama build that was originally uploaded in several parts a few years ago and was one of my entries in to a Battle of Kursk group build hosted by Coen Scale Modelling and My Modelling World here on TH-cam.
The diorama was made before I started filming my builds so I'm afraid its just a slide show and If you've seen it before then hopefully you'll enjoy watching it again.

That's a fantastic little diorama.
It floors me to see what you call simple. Love the tank choice. Everyone else is Panther or Tigers. There were many other armored vehicles in the theater.

Love it, those scratch sunflowers are awesome, really add some colour to the model..! Vehicles & figures as always brilliantly done, especially liking the kubelwagon,, nice little kit. ‘Fairly Simple’ as you say...?? Simple but effective, great modelling as always, inspiring stuff 👏👏🙂

As usual, another great model build and diorama CWM!
I’d kinda like to see what happens next. That Russian surely has some action in mind, and that machine gun resting on the back seat of Kubelwaggon is so close. A surprise indeed if he can get hold of it!

LOL. I don't think that Russian's life expectancy will be very long! He might have to rethink his "stealth" tactics. One quick glance from the officers or the guy on the tank and he's toast. ;)

Looks great! A couple of questions though: would all the sunflowers be facing the same way? (Maybe it’s towards the sun?) second, did they use panzer ones in Kursk, because they were outdated in every aspect, as well as this one is a early version.now a unrelated question. I spray Tamiya acrylics out of a Iwata Eclipse airbrush, and I have TONS of overspray, any tips? Thanks, it looks amazing!
Thanks......it would appear that mature sunflowers all seem to face east for some reason!!!.....there were a few Pz I's at Kursk but none made it past the end of the battle as all were lost during the fighting or in the build up to it. I believe there is one in a Russian museum that was captured shortly before the Battle of Kursk. FYI - they were used as recon tanks not battle tanks......for overspray, I'd say lower the pressure and take things slowly, I have to clean up overspray all the time 👍
