@@SonnyBrown 100% true! I remember, huge shoutout to you and discussing the stuff back then. Prof Tom (grappling academy) also has a video on it: he calls is the Kesa Gatame kill system I believe. Overall it's a great position to work from. I still however have yet to see the transitions we spoke about before (into north-south and saddle and so on) none of those are covered on our videos so if you ever upload those I'd love to link to that video here!

ACKHTUALLY what you called kesa gatame (with both under armpits) is kuzure kesa gatame. A kesa is a monk scarf, and a kuzure (broken) is when it's broken and across the chest.
