Leglock time! My favorite time. In this video we go over the Estima lock. A beautiful ankle lock/toe hold submission created by the Estima brothers. Seeing as they, just like myself, come from Gracie Barra it was about time to cover this tricky submissions. Today I taught a leglock seminar at Gracie Barra Oss (Netherlands) going over these submissions again and, as I was explaining the submissions, I kept on being surprised by the power of this lock and the quickness it gets applied with. Be safe and enjoy this video! Osú
Big thanks for passing on your knowledge. While your videos have helped me finish more sweeps and taps, I've find an increase in my confidence. I've been struggling a bit with my game and trying your techniques in live rolls have helped. Even if my opponent counters, I'm having fun. Thank you so much!

Yeah it’s kinda hard but you are more so disengaging with your belly/body and anticipating the lasso. If it’s just him pulling your sleeve and you pulling back it’s not that hard. The problem with lasso is combining the sleeve grip with the lasso foot. So once you get trapped deep in lasso it’s too late. The whole entry here comes from preventing him from getting that deep lasso.

(The last part) How are you gonna disengage if he is holding your gi wrist? Unless he lets it go..
