My concerns are the lack of privacy, it's like the lord of the manor is always looking down at you, seeing when you come and go, who you bring to the house, etc. They might be the best landlord but I would want more privacy
This is the Dumaguete area….there are more foreigners here(specifically Americans) PER CAPITA than any city in the Philippines. You have to pay to live here. You want 12K…go to Mindanao unless you don’t mind NO AC, or hot water
@@TooMuchTimeonmyHands65 Dumaguete’s claim to fame is a lot of foreigners live there. Nothing special about that except they drive up the cost of living because they over pay for everything.
the apartment is big enough for me and i would be in the pool everyday drinking beers and enjoying the mountain breeze. the beach view for a meal is priceless
The home is small but well presented. Not sure I'd be happy being so close to the landlords place. Sharing a pool is ok but what if you wish to entertain guests for an afternoon? Some outside space would help, having outside garden furnitire etc, would increase the space. Thanks for sharing, informative.
Food and atmosphere are GREAT! Service is VERY POOR….like Ground Zero shitty service. Honestly, this was the first time I didn’t tip after a meal in the Philippines. I would LOVE to meet the owner. We won’t go back because of the service, and my guess is MANY people won’t. It would take 5 minutes of training to make this a fantastic restaurant…..BUT, it’s going to be subpar until then
Thank you for the video! Nice place but not for a foreigner. Too high for what it is. My guess is they are renting the mother-in-law house to pay for the house and pool.
We won’t be back because the service was SO bad. Food and location was GREAT! But, it was the worst service I have had in the Philippines….terrible service
Thanks for watching! Yeah, but you have to live in Angeles which is the armpit of the Philippines….who wants to do that? I hate Manila and Angeles City. Manila is an overcrowded polluted city……and Angeles City🙄. Move to Tijuana or NOLA for Bourbon St. If you’re a single guy looking for hookers…go to Angeles 😉
Good option ez Kevin, this may be the answer: Buy for 8 million php And invest the rest This way live rent free And have passive income 100k php per month. Great video, like always 🎉 👍 good discussing fiscal matters eith you. THANKS A LOT, Greetings to both of you
35K???? That's about double what it is worth and that would be with all utilities. I would get claustrophobia. My apartment in Bacong is 3 times the size 50 meters to the beach and has a generator for brownouts and I pay 22k. Do you guys work for Alma? She is the one that found my apartment.
I cannot believe a Louisiana boy left all of that Curry gravy in the bowl and the rice in the other bowl looked untouched.. put that Rice into that gravy and mix it up and yummy yummy yummy.. are you sure you are a south🐊 Louisiana boy Kevin? Hehe
@@TooMuchTimeonmyHands65 yes yes!! Now you are talking.. French bread sopping gravy is just as good as rice and gravy.. when I eat my gumbo I like a big piece of garlic bread or French bread to go with my rice and gumbo.. I knew that south of Louisiana boy was in there somewhere..hehe🐊🐊
It’s nice it’s a bit small for me I understand that’s the norm for the Philippines. For 35 k I would hope for more space and privacy. But everyone has different needs or wants.
I guess Dumaguete is saturated with foreignors, so the sky has become the limit. That's a joke for a province who lacks high-tech hospitalization and paramedic ambulatory services. Especially in these outlying areas.
I always love yours and Jenna Lynn's rental videos and restaurant reviews.. can't take everything painted white in that house and that place looks like Angola prison with the walls.. I have a two-bedroom two-bath house in a subdivision with a pool and I am paying$200 a month in Talisay cebu.. the house also has a front porch a back porch with a outside kitchen add a covered place to park my car.. I wish you would always show what is outside the back door and also where to park a vehicle when you do the rentals.. I always read the comments before I watch the video and I always watch the video twice because I like them so much..Jenna Lynn is beautiful eye candy and that makes the reruns a lot better..hehe👙😁😎🤗🍺🍻🐊
Philippines is getting ridiculous with the prices. !! Foreigners are jacking up the prices along with Filipinos just gouging the hell out of us too. Not a deal at all. I’ve switched to Cambodia. 🇰🇭
That’s definitely true, especially here in the Dumaguete area. Don’t know for a fact, but I would say we have more foreigners(especially Americans) PER CAPITA than any other city….including Manila and Cebu
GREAT VIDEO & Info !!! JUST a HEADS- UP >>> Last Week , went by a FAST- FOOD JOINT ( VERRRY RARE For ME) And Got a MIDDLE FRIES And Was AMAZED It Was $4.OO & LG Coke $3.50+ !!!!!!! BOTH Were Much "SMALLER Then, Just 3 YEARS AGO !!!!!
House looks nice and food looked good but my question is what kinda Louisiana guy are you for leaving so much rice behind 😂😂😂 Just kidding, kinda, video is well done, whatever camera you're using is 👍

Exactly, no privacy at all. Should have fence , shrub between home. Trees for shade.
I can’t disagree with you 😐
25,000 max. Until the pool is finished 20,000 max
Thanks for watching! Everything is negotiable 😉
15-18k max……
Tile is here, waiting to be released in about a month. Why? This is the problem with the Philippines. This unit is way overpriced btw.
12000P max. This is the Philippines!
That is Dumagetti for you

I met the owners, they’re pretty cool. I’m sure they’d give you free reign for a party if you let them know in advance
Or "Overnight" guests! Those young ladies can get pretty loud at times!🤣🤣🤣
Pass!!!
Thanks for watching Glen. We appreciate it
I had lunch with Jim there last month. I agree with your comments. My experience was about the same.

The economy will never recover ! Im paying $160 per month brand new apartment complex
Nice!
In which city?
Thank you for the video! Nice place but not for a foreigner. Too high for what it is. My guess is they are renting the mother-in-law house to pay for the house and pool.
Thanks for watching as always!
I dont trust your palate based on the things you say you like and don’t like, but I do still enjoy your reviews.
Thanks for watching! We all have different tastes 😉
@@TooMuchTimeonmyHands65 absolutely
Rental place looked nice and a good location for being cooler and I'd like to try the curry dish you had--I think I'd like that.
I was pleasantly surprised by the curry 😃
Another restaurant to scratch off my list.
We won’t be back because the service was SO bad. Food and location was GREAT! But, it was the worst service I have had in the Philippines….terrible service
Way too many brownouts to pay that kind of money… that’s Manila rent prices…even Angeles is cheaper than that… but thanks for showing…

Japanese curry 🍛 is much different than Indian curry as you have found out. Pork Katsu is famous and always a good bet!
I really liked it😉
It’s better over the rice and if you could get the garnished pickled red ginger is best❤
👍🏻

Buy what for 8m php?
For me, it’s best to rent and invest that 8 MIL PHP. If done right, you will MORE than pay for your rent and don’t have any “land issues”
First. How long until someone comments about how they can find a rental for $15 a month? 😂
Hahahaha

Way to much from whats avail there , I think anyway from what i see online for rent.
Thanks for watching Craig! I don’t know….brand new everything….including the mattresses…..that means a lot
Yea, I agree.
It’s not bad if you don’t mind the owners being there. Everything is brand new and quality 😉
People dont get your channel. Its a channel based on where NOT to rent or eat 😅😅😅😅
😉
To me, that's paying for a shoe box to feel like a surf who gets to live within the walls beneath the castle. It's just not for me.
I can see your point 😉

3 KM
Would be good if the owner wasn't on the same property.
I’m pretty sure they’d give you your privacy for pool parties and such. They seemed pretty cool

Perfect only 539 a month a guy could retire there and get rich
EXACTLY!!! You get it!!!!😉
Is that 35,000 us?
Hahaha, no…. That’s about $620/month US
Hi Kevin, do You happen to be a STYX Fan?
I don't know why it took me this long to figure that out. It just now hit me. 🤯.
I do like the song, and I am trying to figure out a way to incorporate it in an intro without losing all of my video money 😉
Overpriced
It is pricey, thanks for watching!😉
Is there any internet service and if so how good?
It’s sketchy at best. I brought back Starlink from my trip to the US. I would definitely recommend that, if you’re relying on the internet
