Most younger Millennials and Zoomers wouldn't understand '80s and '90s car HP ratings. They forget that it was a representation of its time, technology, and standards of the day. They forget that those cars were also a lot lighter than much more modern cars -- they didn't need 700hp just to make it move, like today's cars. Let's not forget, either, that 225hp was still respectable even into the mid-2000s. The 2002-07 WRX was 227hp, an SRT4 Neon was 215-230hp (depending on year), and the supercharged Cobalt SS and ION Redline was 205hp. A VERY underrated 205hp, but 205hp nonetheless. Horsepower isn't EVERYTHING when in comes to a performance car, or a vehicle's driving dynamics. It's a decent part of the equation, but it isn't everything.
I think some people get so focused on power, they forget about the other driving dynamics. yeah, my grandmother's buick makes twice as much power as my honda. but the honda is half a ton lighter, a few feet shorter, & the suspension is tuned for a sportier feel. on paper, the buick should be more fun. but it isn't.

It popped up several times in his old videos back then, and it was even mentioned in Eric Bana's "Love the Beast." The car evidently left a long-lasting impression on Jezza.
