    Thank you very much for these videos. The gasket on mine is bad, I just have to get around to fixing it..

      Yeah, it is a lot of work. There where times I wanted to just through a stick of dynamite in it. I know there is not a lot of Uplander videos and it was frustrating because every time I searched it some other car would be used with similar engine like the Chevy Impala. Glad it could help and thank you for your comment.

    Likely a cb radio mic mount from what it looks like to me. The change in the velocity of the air is likely the voltage fluctuating. Do you have it still and do you have any automatic sliding doors?

      You said "do you still have it". Is it the van or CB? I assume you mean the CB, and it never came with it, and just in case you meant the van, yes I still have it, sorry to be confusing. It is a base model and has no power doors. It seems either you will always have a car payment or auto repair payment. Thank you for your comment.

      @@cellgame100 yes I was a bit confusing also... asking about the van and if you still had it... mine is the Saturn Relay 2 so it has just a few options. As such I just had one of the cables used to move the door break. They used steel (not stainless from the look of it) with a coating of some kind of plastic on them. The one is larger than the other and the lighter of the 2 frayed and broke. Other than the coating on them they look like fairly standard cables with barrels at either end. I was wondering, because I can't seem to find it anywhere at present, where to get universal cable to make my own.

    Is this for a 3.5 or 3.9?

    Hows the van treating you so far 4yrs later or 4.5yrs later.. if you still have it I remember watching this when I had the same problem changed it with new sensor and cleaned it up good on my Buick Terreza CX (luxury Uplander) had the 3.9L also, plus doing some driver side rear caliper replaced got used one cleaned it up works good, the pain to changing the crank sensor need small hands on the passenger side and work blind you'll need to remove the knock sensor out in order to get the crank sensor.. and it's a 10mm or 8mm I can't remember, but I did that also swapped the wheel hub and rotors brakes, I still have mine swapped the air ride to standard shocks I disabled the air ride on it. New alternator and battery last year my van has 215K (134K miles) oh got some new tires last week, the other ones lasted us almost 5.5yrs surprised by that but they don't make that brand anymore not sure why but man I wish I can find that brand again. Anyhow yeah I take it easy and thanks for this video I did mine pretty much a week after I viewed this video but I forgotten to comment but here I am 4yrs later my van still going strong tune up next week also new plugs wires coil, etc...

      I did the filter adapter gasket 3-5 years ago and it's now leaking again. 3.9 is a fantastic engine but the fact that every part of it leaked oil at some point even at very low mileage is beyond ridiculous.

    • @trevlouie
      @trevlouie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jeremy B they have a part number 12593171 (oil cooler) that is a separate part also can order the oil filter adapter too and a new gasket the sensor may still be good if there was enough room I would change them damn coolant lines good van better than new ones today and they are reliable ones one of my friends has 06 with 3.5 6 bolt tires he has 550k(340k miles) still going we have a parts van sharing but he's been using all the good parts from it so far

    • @trevlouie
      @trevlouie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jeremy B the oil cooler 12610722
      Oil Cooler connector 12622908 this part I would unscrew and check then finally the oil filter adapter 12590323 which connects with the oil cooler and connector making it one unit. Who knew eh I looked at mine cleaned it the best I can

    Why does the top of your engine look different than my 06 Uplander? Is yours a 3.9?

    • @cellgame100
      @cellgame100  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct mine is the 3.9 that's why it looks different.

      @Aaron Davis, you might have the 3.5L engine on 06 that's when they did the change from 3.5L to 3.9L engine

      Thank you for your comment, that is defiantly a good possibility. It probably why I had as many problems with it sense it had only about 110k on it when I got it. Still it is a great van for me my wife and our four boys. We also just bought a 06 Pontiac Montana SV6 and it had only 87k on it.
