I absolutely love riding my Rebel 500. I live on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. Riding the beach road from state line to state line is awesome. But the most beautiful ride is the Natchez Trace Trail. 310 miles just in Ms. But it cuts through Alabama then goes to Nashville Tennessee. I think you would Absolutely love these rides. Keep on Riding...
Love this vid,,,, this may have just convinced me to get a Rebel 500,,, currently ride a Harley Dyna,, great bike but man it is too heavy for my old legs,, I am 61 and only weigh about 145 lbs, bike is hard to move around in parking lots , dead end roads etc.... love the look and fit of the Rebel,,, and you just proved it is capable of the kind of riding I like,,, thank you, and keep riding....
Thank you for that comment! Now that you’ve said it, I looked it up… The Harley Dyna is roughly 675 lbs, while the Honda Rebel 500 is around 425 lbs… That’s an insane difference! The rebel is definitely easy to maneuver, including backing up. If you’re really thinking about switching to a Honda rebel, I’d absolutely recommend you go sit on one and try it out before you buy it! It may look like a perfect bike for me, but might not be a perfect fit for everybody else’s taste… It is a great bike though, I must say! It’ll just be a noticeable change from your Harley Dyna. Thank you for watching, and thank you for the support! I appreciate it😁
So jealous!!! That’s was badass ride and you went through some magical landscapes! Haven’t been to Reno/Tahoe in quite a few years but would love to go out and visit again. Thanks for sharing.
@@LyssaWithAnE honestly you got to see more of the roads and city than I did. Was out there on a backpacking trip- began in Reno>Tahoe>PCT towards Sacramento and then did a section of the gorgeous coast from Eureka to Crescent City through all those redwoods! Couldn’t imagine how awesome it’d be on a motorcycle 😎
I loved watching ur vids last couple of years and eventually, I've bought my own Rebel 500. But I have noticed the radio silence since last year, all ok over there? Grtz from Belgium.
I'm impressed. After about 140 miles on my Rebel 500 I could barely move my legs. Started having issues around the 45 minute mark. Upgraded to the mustang tripper seat.
@@LyssaWithAnE it was a marked improvement over the stock seat, but still not comfortable for more than about 30 minutes. I've made arrangements to sell it, unfortunately.
Loved the ride .. loved the video .. and love the bike too .. will get mine in a couple of months .. but videos like these make me very very happy .. all the very very best for your future rides as well...
I’m glad you loved the ride, the video, and the bike! It is definitely worth the purchase! Thanks for the support on the video, there will definitely be more coming in the future with how great it feels to ride the Rebel😁🙌
@@LyssaWithAnE something we both view as important. It makes you more human on camera… not the typical robot many you tuber do. Again love the channel keep up the excellent work!!
Oh hey. I was looking at getting a 500 for Highway commutes along 80. I live in Reno and have family in Sacramento! This video helped me solidify my choice. Also Gloria's is great, haha. Definitely on the edge of Reno, but still technically in town
That’s awesome, we’ll, the 500 works great in my opinion!😁 and thanks haha, I didn’t know if that still counted as Reno or not, but it was a great place to eat!🙌
I’m glad you love the videos! I’m also glad I’m showing you a new perspective in life riding a motorcycle! It’s definitely a thrill that some people I love to chase but also a thrill that some people are afraid of. Thank you again for the support, hope you stick around!
I use my iPhone audio for when I am not on my bike and recording as a selfie! As for when I’m riding, it’s strictly the GoPro audio. I have the GoPro hero 7 black!
Thanks again for your great content. I have a couple of questions: What types of theft protection do you use for your Rebel? and do you think a 300cc would work for this type of trip? Thanks!
Thank you for the support! Funny thing is, I actually don’t have any theft protection for the bike… I usually just turn and lock my handlebars😅 Very sketchy, I know… But I’ve had good luck with it so far! I know a lot of people get the brake disc locks that make noise when they detect a movement of the bike! I was thinking about getting one of those, but it’s still just a thought. And for the most part, I’m not too sure rough the 300 can ride, but the speed limit is supposed to be 70 on the highway that I rode on(give or take some mph)… I’d say as long as you can keep up with the speed of traffic, then it’s absolutely doable on a 300!
@@LyssaWithAnE Hey Lyssa! Thanks a lot for your response. Here's an update for me, I cancelled my order for a 2021 rebel 300 abs and bought a 2021 rebel 500 abs the difference is the color. The 300 was the new blue which I really like (still not as cool as your denim blue though) my new 500 is the mat black which is cool also, considering how hard it is to find these bikes I'm happy the only bummer is that the bike has a stupid recall for the rear reflector and the part is backed up so I'll have my bike ready in a week or so :). Thanks for the info my the theft protection. I live in an apartment and am thinking of getting a couple of protections to make sure I can sleep well at night and enjoy my vacations if I'm not going on my bike. I'm loving your channel and can't wait to join you and the team in the future. Stay safe.
Ayyyyy nice! That’s awesome to hear, congratulations on the bike! And I’m glad you chose to go with the 500 instead of the 300, I feel like you’ll outgrow the 300 a lot quicker like most usually do. I’d love to hear the update and reaction when you finally ride it around! And no problem on the anti-theft solutions. Mine is garage kept and I haven’t had to worry about it much. When I park it at my friends apartment and stay the night, I usually lock the handle bar and pray that my bike is still there in the morning😂 but I see what you mean on how to give you a piece of mind to prevent theft
Oh it definitely would! I’m just trying to use up the rest of the stock tires that came with the bike😂 other than that, I believe the Rebel is 100% capable of being ridden off road as well😌
Thanks bro🙌😁 I also took the bike with a Passenger up to Oregon, then down on the lost coast and on Hwy1 before leaving California. It was so beautiful and so fun! I definitely recommend doing it if you haven’t done it yet!
Heads up i just drop the 500 in the shop i was comen down the hills last night and eve thing turned off left me in the dark they said it was a burnt wire in the head light so look out for this one
Thanks for that info! I’m sorry you had been put in that position, I’m glad you’re safe though and they were able to diagnose the bike to get it fixed!

I'm ready to get one soon, and maybe ride with you Neighbor.
Nice! A Rebel as well, or just a bike? And where are you located?

2nd choice is the CB 500F.
