My husband and I have followed your journey with Pebble since the start. You needed her as much as she needed you. She's come such a long way! You are honestly among the kindest and most patient bird people we've ever seen. Thank you for showing that with patience and understanding, no parrot is "irredeemable". We share our homes and lives with 13 rescued birds, 3 male umbrella cockatoos included. Out of the three, our boy Fluff was in the worst shape. Kept in a spare bedroom with blinds drawn. A cage that was much too small, chained and locked with padlocks, and zero toys or anything to busy his mind. When we brought him home, he would throw himself to the other side of his new macaw cage to avoid us. That was 5 years ago. He is now the biggest snuggler, and second most trusting cockatoo in our family.
That breaks my heart to read that but 5 tears later your Macaw has been healed with love. Don't understand how anyone can neglect or abuse such beautiful innocent birds/animals
There is a bird out there that has a call which is at a volume above 200db, so as loud as a gunshot, and a large part of the volume from a gun firing is the usual supersonic crack (which is why suppressors only truly work with subsonic rounds), so that really puts it into perspective. The crazy part is the males scream right at the female at close range, so there's a good chance it damages the female's hearing lol, now that's a strange kink.
She is great. She talks fairly clearly. She actually makes sense. She can dance. She can ride on your shoulder while you drive. So she knows some 4 letter words. No big deal. Everyone knows them. She just likes to use then when she is upset. Her body is very expressive when she talks. So darn cute!!!❤ to Pebble!
Pebbles is turning more and more to a pleasant human communicator - like night and day compared to the hate filled crazy stuff she only was able to express in the past. I am moved to see your care and love changed the bird. Thank you guys for a awesome job. 👍 Pebbles is a happy bird now!!!!

There's a video of when he first brought her home, and how he took her out of the cage, and she hated the cage. He destroyed it in front of her, and she was so excited helping him do it, going crazy swearing at the cage.

Wow the Bond and the interactive they share is out of this world I have never seen a parrot and a person talk for that long it was a full on confersation I've had a lot of parrots in my life and a the most I've got was like how are you today this is priceless what a team we have here she loves and adores her owner she is just so savvy I love this parrot she had me almost pissing myself with laughter not even a stand up comedian has ever made me laugh so much those expressions she youses the coughing wow so much talent you have a fantastic bird their it's a about trust and she trusts you just amazing 🥰🤗
