- Pebble thinks that she can tell me what's what. seeing that she's told me how it is countless times :) I have no problems with her telling me what I need to do with my life. I need to, and should've listened to her in the first place.

I think Kelly is giving Pebble what she's been looking for her whole life; tender loving care (TLC). It doesn't matter if she is screaming at the top of her lungs, he responds quietly and calmly. I think it's the best. Hats off to you for a job well done, so far.

Thank you for giving her a loving environment. I watched a few of your videos and first few times thought the swearing was hysterical. Then I watched your video of Pebbles’ past homes and now this. This time her rant didn’t seem so funny. This time I realized just how much turmoil there had to be in her life to have this rant so perfected and it saddened me that she was in the middle of it. I hope in time she learns from the calmness of your voice that she doesn’t need to go off like that. Maybe I’m overthinking this, but she is beautiful and I know how mean ppl are to and around animals and it DOES have a big affect on them. Thanks again for showing her so much love. A small occasional telling you off is ok and funny but I want her to be mostly happy.

It couldn't have been that bad for her she hasn't plucked her feathers from stress or being bored so take solace in that we don't really know if she was treated bad just cause she learned cuss words.

In case you didn't know ,pebble had 10 previous homes before Kelly. I'm soooooo happy she's with him. She is thriving 💑.

It's an interesting insight to her past by seeing the words and behaviours she knows. When she swears like this, she even mimics the physical behaviours of the person who was acting in such a way. She literally copies the anger in sound and movement, I just hope it wasn't she that was getting yelled at, though it seems probable if the person she's imitating can get that angry often enough for her to learn it (as I imagine she's a loud bird by nature, and someone with a crummy temper wouldn't be able to handle that).
It's also interesting to see how much she calms down when her owner here reaches out for her and talks to her, think that shows he has a calm attitude with her cause she's reflecting his attitude. Good to see :)

Hopefully with your help and love the rage will calm down. It makes me cry when I see birds act out like this and you know the terrible circumstance they came from. None of my rescued birds went thru this but I had a rescue cat who would cringe when you tried to pet him. Took 5 years to get him comfortable with my touch but would never accept anybody else. So sad. He passed several years ago but I still have fond memories of him living a peaceful life with me.

I cringe when I hear Pebble cursing, not because of the words but because it makes me sad she was with such trashy, possibly "guardians" and gave her unconditional love to undeserving humans. I'm sure Pebble gives you great joy but also know you are earning stars in your crown in heaven by taking such good care of her. Btw, I love the video of you stomping on the round cage and Pebble putting her two cents in. Priceless!

Poor little gal, somebody really did a number on her once upon a time. The first time I tuned in to find her ranting & cursing I thought it was funny, cute even. I admit, she is quite a character & sometimes I still laugh at her antics, but overall, it just makes me sad. Because I think, birds pick up on what's going on around them. They learn & mimic, repeating what they hear. To have lived in an environment of constant discontent must've been emotionally shocking for a vulnerable creature like Pebble. And I've actually seen her acting out what looks like physical conflict before. What she must have seen/heard/endured to still have all that welled up inside her after so much love and devotion by you all is, quite frankly, stomach turning. But on a more hopeful note, in the short time I've been viewing, I've seen remarkably positive changes in Pebble's interaction w/you. It's obvious she trusts/loves you, & she physically calms in response to your voice. She couldn't have happened upon better advocates to have as her forever friends. I still giggle at her tirades, she's just so smart & has a comedienne's sense of timing, it seems. But it's obvious she had a hard road to travel before she found you. Good to think there's now a soft shoulder to lean into for such a special little birdie. You really do f**kin' rock, Pebble!
She definitely lived with terrible people, but look at her now she is so beautiful and blessed to be with her forever Dad. Not all birds are so lucky, many die from neglect and abuse.

What rules? I'm no curse monitor. My comment comes from listening to & reading Pebbles' person's background info regarding where she lived & who with & how they treated her & acted in front of her before she came to be w/him.
Imagine how many children listen to parents fighting...this bird has just cataloged it. Thank heavens Pebbles has a new life with an awesome calming dad.

Fascinating! I can see her mimicking someone with serious rage. They literally do that bending double screaming Bullshit! Then walking away then coming back to have another round of screaming exactly like she does. I'm thinking someone screaming at the politicians on the TV, or perhaps a partner in the one chair because she focuses on one spot and keeps coming back to it.

Pebble is just so smart that she uses the language contextually and understand what you say to her- especially the apologies. She does allow you to assuage her and returns affection- trust does include feeling safe when expressing feelings. Pebbles seemed to be insisting she wanted something a certain way- my cat has her signals to let me know what bothers her. Good video for seeing how far she's come.
