Was thinking the game of throne refers to the timeliness wise...how got is present day and house of dragon is 1000 years before. That's the way I took that part of his statement
@plbenton he definitely did. Superman being a perfect example. When he suits up in the Snyder cut and you can here his father's voices we get the full arch into the Man of Steel everyone was waiting for. I don't think the general audience waited for that third film pay off tho.
Love everything you are saying just subscribed! Also I believe that we need to keep the essence of the characters while modernizing them for a new audience. As for Superman, the best way can explain this is there’s only 1 issue I had with man of steel, even though I did like the movie issue 1: Henry Cavill, Superman for me didn’t really inspire hope. He also didn’t feel like somebody I want to strive to be like. It’s like you said Superman is supposed to be a beacon of hope and someone you want to strive to be light but if superman feels like he has no hope than I personally feel what is the point. I also feel that everyone should want to strive to be like Superman, a kind and caring, hopeful person who’s optimistic but a Superman himself is not optimistic and seems to not inspire hope then what is the point in loving him or having hope at all.
Well he’s said that Superman is gonna be the beacon that Superheroes get inspired by…I think we’re going to have characters pop in, That aren’t just purely good but are making decisions that on the surface may seem good but may have ramifications afterwards a bit of cause-and-effect… the superheroes prior to Superman Legacy seem like corporate shills and in the wake of otherworldly threats they shed that persona once they see Superman in action as a pure, good superhero and I think that’s a good direction to go… to be a good guy actually takes work and to be this figurehead for a corporation who may be held back in the presence of other worldly threats because Superman can get it and all these heroes, realizing like no I can make a difference too… that’s a good message. It shows that no matter how high up you are on the corporate ladder you can still do the right thing.
@FilmAgeStudios I can see that happening. That also gives it the Kingdom Come vibe with Superman showing uo and inspiring the other heroes to go in a new direction.
@orhanamin1347 I'm a huge snyder fan and to be fair, none of us have any clue if Gunns will be better or not. It hasn't happened yet. Since the snyderverse is over, would you rather never get DC movies again? They should just stop making them?

@Evilscomics gotcha. I was afraid that, was part of the morality part 😆
honestly i really want gunn's dcu to be the anti-snyderverse and go back to them being a symbol of hope and such.
@@Cobracatcommander I'm right there with you. I think it has to be. It has to set itself apart far enough to stand on its own.
That’s literally where Snyder brought the characters at the end.

Kinda hoping this is new and separate. Don't mind a nod to the past but hopefully a jumping on point to successfully move forward.
@@Evilscomics agreed. The more they pull from or hold on to the earlier stuff, the more disjointed the new stuff will be.
Gunn is in salesman mode, wouldn’t dig too deep.
