I special ordered our ‘22 Durango R/T (5.7 Hemi V8!!) for my wife and was told that dodge would discontinue the Durango at the end of 2023 along with the Challenger and Charger. I don’t believe I’ll be purchasing another Dodge vehicle any time soon.
Dropping two of the most popular car models is the biggest bonehead move Dodge could ever make. EV's still need upgraded electrical grids to charge or they'll burn your house down. Living in an apartment complex and owning an EV is impossible unless they have charging stations, and they never do. Americans want gas guzzling V8's. We want muscle cars. We want to go fast and loud. Not drive electric cars with batteries made from rare earth metals mined with African child slave labor. Gasoline is typically readily available, and there are ZERO EV's available on the market that are affordable to people on a ramen noodle budget. Cheapest EV's on the market are around $30K, and with these sky high interest rates, you'll either need a big down payment, or expect a $600/mo payment for a car you don't even like. People pushing these EV's are environmentalists, not car people. They want you to drive an EV, or walk. They don't care if there's no bus line in your area, or your job is 15 miles away.
I have been a Mopar guy for 50 years now. Everyy vehicle I have owned has been a Dodge or a Plymouth. I feel betrayed by this woke mentality and I would be ashamed to even air any more Dodge Brothers commercials. Stellantis has no concept of what American Muscle Car history is all about. You have betrayed us!
Why is no one taking about the Viper and Stealth? These names were recently re-trademarked. Why pay the trademark fees if there aren’t gonna be any models?
Hate to say it but what does the mopar even offer anymore? They just tried to break into the American market and since no bought it its all going to dry up shame they just dont care cause mopar had such a follow but this will end up like Pontiac
Dodge had three chances to come up with a new V8 every time a company marriage is a bonus come with it diamond and Chrysler that's how we got the charger and challenge body off the S-Class frame when a merge with FAA that's how we got the hellcat engine now the third people they merge it that's how they got the hellelepha engine so they pick horsepower and penalties
I wish that were true. The Hellephant engine is a legacy Dodge engine and the last gasp of this great error of Dodge muscle cars. Unfortunately what we're getting from Stellantis and their European philosophy is Evs.
Sad to say Dodge is going belly up. EVs are junk and there's not enough lithium in the world to replace all the spent EV batteries at 20k a piece. Go woke equals go broke! Buy a mustang or camaro!!
@@stuchbrosmnore8627Yeah....for now. As GM has committed to producing ALL electric vehicles by 2035. They've already started the process in doing just that.
There’ll be “Going Out of Business” signs up at dealers across America.
Unless Mr. Fusion becomes a reality, EVs will not replace internal combustion engines anytime soon.
I don’t understand why they just didn’t put the hurricane motor in the charger and challenger and keep them going.

Great video! Thanks for sharing this.
They ruined their brand by bowing down to the electric car industry.

Dodge is gonna come back with the V8 in 10 years at a much higher price
No 2 years bcq they’ll see they make most of the money on challenger and charger
Is it true the new V6 twin turbo Cuda/Barracuda is in prototype phase? Thanks
Im still upset my dodge dart has and italian motor and a hyundai transmission. SRT 4 compact car would be great
Srt 4 is exactly what we need
Many thought the Dart was going to be the new SRT4 but it never happened the Dart failed.

Good point. It will be very disappointing though if they use those nameplates for EVs.

Agreed
So will they!
Its a wonder that Chrysler is not gone yet.
I agree, thanks to Stellantis.😡
Let’s see if 1970 repeats itself
But dodge is done for with the end of the charger and challenger
Dodge has gone woke
It will go downn fast
Well I guess I will dodge buying a SLOPAR product!
typical crowd muncher terminology
I doubt it will

Put the 6.4 inside the banshees body for about two years Dodge will be okay if they do that
