I can't believe that you didn't wear gloves when you cleaned out that car. If you had the slightest belief that there was illegal substances in it, you should have worn gloves and a respirator. Exposure to these substances can kill you. If you breath or even touch fentanyl, you WILL die. Come on Randy...be safe!

There is a secret compartment in the dash most people don't know about. I think all Impala's have it. Somewhere near the screen there is a button and the screen slides up showing the compartment. Found some interesting stuff on my friends used Impala.

A couple of seats from the junkyard would make a big difference.
My detailer told me to go find the nastiest car I could at auction for 2k or less. Had to be drivable.. I came back with a 2002 dodge grand caravan that had done duty as either a family of very messy kids hauler or a garbage hauler. The auctioneer was begging for someone to bid. Got it for 100 bucks. It ran and drove but I wouldn't drive it. Loaded it on my rollback and delivered it to him. He did a 50/50 clean (cleaned the driver's half front to back and corrected paint on driver's side) everyone thought the van was staged but it did also generate a lot of income for him. Said it was the best 500 bucks he ever spent (van, auction fees and title transfer fees) a tree fell on it a few years back and that was the end of it
If I am paying a guy $300 or more to clean a car he is doing all of the nasty work.

I think you will like the Ryobi riding mower. I have no experience with the riding mower but I have owned a 40W Ryobi push mower since 2018 and it has been great. No issues whatsoever.
I wonder how accurate the mpg readout is. On some cars, it's optimistic by several mpg.

I use a bug sprayer filled with water and a 10 or 12 inch putty knife when removing the popcorn texture on the ceiling. All you have to do is mist the ceiling with water then carefully scrape and the popcorn texture will come off in sheets.
you need to try a 530d sport, or a 330d sport, i get 50+ mpg and it would leave that impala in dust, and the 6 pot bmw diesels are so quiet
I really enjoyed driving that car with the v6 as a rental. Drove it for a week when I totaled my car.
Hearing people talk about getting their car searched because their car smelled like pot brings back memories. Can't believe that still exists in some states.
Even if it was a truck, it would be a messy truck. If they had any sense they could of at least put a rubber mat down in the trunk, or used rubber containers to hold tools and supplies. Most of that was just plain trash, probably did crappy paint work too.
That was my thought, if they leave the car like this, the quality of their work is prob pretty bad!!! Losers!
Have you ever considered getting a 100 gallon fuel cell with a pump at AAR headquarters? Might save you trips to the gas station. Maybe it’s a terrible idea…. Haha. Great video!

Who else would LOVE this car to stay. So far both the cop car and this car videos have done better then your normal videos which shows people love them both but for your personal reasons the impala with its gas mileage is a great car for you

Randy take that car to the car wash and vacuum around the front seats specially close to the console on the driver side, new cabin air filter will get rid of the smoke smell most of it, spray it with cherry car scent while you are there

Believe it or not, I once acquired a KUKA KR-325 Industrial Robot Arm that was retired from GM when the Impala line was dismantled. the robot was slated for scrap, but being part of a 501C3, I managed to rescue it and got GM a donation tax credit. I cleaned it up, repainted it and got it working again then used it as a tool to teach others how to program industrial robotics so others could get jobs programing robots in an industrial setting. I have no doubt, that robot welded part of this SS together.

I think I would have used a shovel to clean out that trunk. 😏 I would be worried with that crappy treatment of the inside of the car that the previous owner wasn't too good about maintenance. I expect you will do soon an oil change, check the brakes, tires, suspension, replace filters as needed. For sure it needs a through cleaning inside and out including the ozone treatment.

Had it happen on my wife's 2017. DO NOT replace the gasket! Remove the gasket clean all surfaces and use the right stuff and seal back in. If you replace gasket will leak again quickly. It cost us the amplifier behind that right side cover and the radio module. Total cost to me was $1,500.00. Car only had 8000 miles on it and would not cover it under warranty.

Keep that electric mower outside in it's own garage. Because it will burn your house down when it catches fire.
The rechargeable lawn equipment is great, like any other rechargeable item though, they're good until the battery goes bad and then they're basically throw away. Made the switch to Toro 60V, mower, trimmer, edger and blower. Haven't looked back but I know the batteries will eventually fail.
I don't like EV cars but I love electric mowers. No maintenance except replace the blade. Easy.

I have a 17 Impala and it's never given me a day's trouble. I did take it to our local chain store that sells batteries and keys and they got me a new key fob and programmed it for me to about $130.
I'm not mad at the delivery driver for leaving the stuff there , I work for FedEx Ground Delivery and although I don't leave anyone's stuff in the driveway like that some drivers are swamped with deliveries and are in a hurry, I'm talking 250 to 300 stops and 300 to 400 packages to deliver, there's a space on the delivery app where you can leave instructions on where to leave the packages.
That's definitely a nice car though, a lot better than the Reeboks I currently drive 😂

If the seats otherwise are still supportive just with stains and ripped material, consider seat covers. You could buy one or two types sold online and review them. Diamond pleats and contrast stitching would brighten that dark interior. A rubber trunk mat would cover up the paint stains.

I had one of these as a rental for about a week or so give or take and it was called The midnight edition, it was beautiful blacked out, huge screen, he didn't go to seeds, I don't remember what year it was but it was at least 6 years ago or more It was an enterprise car, had a little over 10,000 mi on it.
Now everybody gets bummed out when they hear about the V6 being the biggest engine but let me tell you that V6 is no slouch and on top of that, like Randy said, it gets great gas mileage.
And that one being the midnight edition meant it was all blacked out, the crawl neck sense were black chrome, there was a bunch of things, different rims and so on
Never got the dry one again but I sure wanted to keep the midnight edition, it was such a nice car, and such a nice ride.
As a former manager of an auto rental chain, I've had busted bottles of bbq sauce returned in rentals that were week long trips and that sh*t turns into rock like substance in the Florida heat. That was way to gooey to have been there for weeks in the heat. Speaking of complaints about the heat, why bitch about the delivery guys who are leaving your stuff in the drive? They're in it for 8-12 hours (depending on carrier/shift). Personally, as someone who has done some delivery gig work, I see an open garage with a similar package and the path blocked by a trashcan and open car doors, I'd probably leave the delivery in the same spot. I feel like the content on your channel has changed immensely since your begining. Which I get, I guess. Gotta give your subscribers what they want, right?

Randy, from another Randy, you’re probably right about the remote. The only exception is if you don’t have at least one original remote. My charger didn’t come with one, and for that reason I had to go to the dealer. The remote doesn’t have to be for an Impala. I got a deal on two minivan remotes, which work just fine.

Front seats might be more than you think because you have to remember they have airbags in them plus occupancy sensors. Might be better off just trying to get the factory skins that go over the seat from a junkyard

I had a 2013 Impala LTZ and the 3.6 ltr was awesome however the dual overhead cams are chain driven and prone to being an expensive maintenance issue, that's 3 chains. I passed it along to another family member years ago but it is still running fine with well over 150k in miles. It was only a V6 but it performed more like a V8, very quick and throaty.
You need to call the electric Hart electric mower. "ROBO-CHOP" 😆
Your TPMS sensors or a couple of them are probably bad. Should be an inexpensive fix. I think you really scored on this one
