There was a story of a guy who survived 76 days at sea. Poor bastard said eff it an tried to kill himself by drowning at like day 60 or something. But then had a change of heart in the middle an managed to survive. So so crazy

Fun fact: the guy at 2:58 was actually stranded in the ocean after being left alone by a diving class and being taken away by a storm. The video is recorded on the camera he had with him and he is recording his last words. He was later rescued by a helicopter though

This is literally my worst fear and why i hate any sort of water
That movie Open Water scared the hell out of me. It was based on a true story of a couple who were unintentionally abandoned in the ocean during a group scuba diving trip in 1998. Being abandoned in the middle of the ocean in terrifying enough by itself. Add in nightfall, and it's a whole other level of horror. I don't scuba dive myself. I have been on deep sea fishing trips but I refused to get out of the boat and swim that far out in the ocean, due to that very thing, fear of being left. After watching Open Water, I tried to imagine myself in that situation. My plan would be, if at all possible. get to a buoy. Buoy's have platforms, so I would climb up on it and stay there, so as to get out of the water and stave off hypothermia. Plus, a buoy could mean that I am in a shipping lane, so I may eventually see a boat. Now, all that is probably easier said than done, but that would be my plan anyway.
I would say conserve energy and try to find the highest point of the ocean floor so you can rest there and then come up for air. Also to get food and not salty water, you may need to get ocean plants or trap fish or other sea animals that you know you can eat.
To stay warm, conserve energy and try to sunbath if you are really getting cold

My version of How To Survive:
You’re walking in a very nice forest and you hear a strange hissing noise. You turn around and see what looks like a giant lizard facing your direction. That is a Komodo dragon. It is surprisingly a venomous lizard. What should you do?

*Do you have any chance of going hand-hand combat with this thing?*
*And how powerful is their venom?*
Today, we’re going find out *How To Survive: A Komodo Dragon Attack*
Komodo dragons are found in Indonesia. They are the largest lizards in the world. And you’ve been spotted by one.
*Step 1: Keep your distance* Komodo dragons can be very aggressive, and you need to stay away from them.
*Step 2: Avoid their jaws* Their venom is very powerful, and it can kill you in hours if not treated.
*Step 3: Run* Komodo dragons can get very fast, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to run away. Because they top speed at 12 mph, while the average human speed is about 15 mph. So unless you are usain bolt, avoid running in a straight line, run in a zig zag.
Step 4: Decieve...After running zig-zag for a minute, stop and watch the Komodo coming at you. Then perform a reverse flip and land on its body. Stay till further help arrives.
Step 5: Use that military grade assault rifle I gave you. Yes, you have it.

A man survived floating in the ocean. He had nothing until a few days later, a log passed him. He grabbed it and hung on to it. I've read alot of books on people who survived being stranded in the ocean and they all said there is alot of trash in the ocean, so collect whatever you can. Also, turtles are the easiest to catch and have saved many lives, since you can eat their insides, drink their blood and use their shell to help you out.
