    Always funny stuff! I lived in California for 3 years and can believe this tax could happen. Had to move my company out of California with too many costly regulations that didn't make sense. One just has to pass the costs on to the customer which is often the government....the people.

    I grew up in Pacific Grove where they did this skit. Long before that was a lighting store that commercial space is where GroveMont was. In the 1970s I used to buy my shoes and sandals at GroveMont.

      @@peterfunt8622 BTW, since it seems you know that that commercial space was the GroveMont decades ago, you've jogged my memory regarding the guy who owned the GroveMont. His name was something like Michael Bubay/Bobay. Nice guy but very quirky. He had me come out to his Carmel Valley home once after I had become a plumbing contractor, and his home was a veritable aviary. He had lots of exotic birds in his home, none of them in cages. Use your imagination regarding to what a "mess" his home was. Anyway, in the 1990s my wife and four kids and I lived in Carmel and our kids went to the Carmel River School. I think you know about that school. I expatriated the Monterey Peninsula in 2012 and bought a huge spread of remote forested land up here in Modoc County. Total privacy, complete solitude.

      The hack politicians in the state of California were the ones that put a price cap on power, so Enron and others just exported California power to other Western markets that were willing to pay more for it

      It’s ridiculous. Related, but not exactly the same. Not how things used to be with just cable, CDs, and the radio. I refuse to pay for any entertainment services other than TH-cam. Mine still says TH-cam Red. Teehee. I’m an OG. Other than that it’s just iCloud because I have 55,000 photos and 10,000 videos. My mother got me Netflix for Christmas. Literally nothing is on Netflix and it’s such a scam now. I very briefly had AppleTV for one show. I buy movies VERY rarely, but really that’s no different than buying DVDs or VHS and around the same price. I’d never rent them. Blockbuster you’d rent some things and bring them back…you didn’t have to pay for it every time, right? $4 to watch a movie once is ludicrous. This is advice, I bought one of my all time favorite shows for $19.99 a season, I don’t at all feel like I was ripped off. If you have an iPhone buy things. You can buy most anything. What’s insane to me is if they…I forget how it works, but some things aren’t available to rent? So Apple directs you to all the places that have it. It’s a rabbit hole. You need Netflix, Hulu, AppleTV, Amazon Prime, it’s just endless. Then there is Spotify and whatever else. I think YT music comes with Premium, but I don’t use it. All my music is organized on here…people end up paying $100 or more. Idfk how people who constantly use YT deal with ads though. This is the only service that seems worth it to me. TV shows, shorts, music, movies, endless things, and they are all free…

    This is the twilight zone as California passed a bill last year to tax people for electricity according to their income. Your usage doesn’t matter it’s your income bracket.

    This will probly be legal in California in a year

    • @Ephesians-ts8ze
      @Ephesians-ts8ze 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I’m sure it will be legal across the country. The gasoline excise tax supposedly pays for building and maintaining roads so with so many electric vehicles on the road now days, they’ll claim that they have to recoup that funding with another tax. Though we pay enough in taxes already for roads and infrastructure. If the government wasn’t so wasteful with our money and send billions in foreign aid to other countries, there would be plenty of funds available. Just like what happened in New York with the ridiculous tax on tobacco. They justified it by claiming it was meant to encourage smokers to quit, but when it actually worked and a lot of smokers kicked the habit, they just increased taxes somewhere else to recoup the lost revenue
