I wonder if Peter & Allen Funt ever tried to estimate the amount of laughs they provided over the years, must be in the hundreds of millions! All those smiles and laughter is a great contribution to the world for sure.
@@chrisdigitalartist Funny enough I said this sometime ago and got a return comment from Peter Funt. I’m sure it was genuinely him because he was talking inside knowledge that other people would not know. I had said that we should see the response of each “victim.” He initially pulled me up about calling them victims. I said that was a tongue in cheek joking assessment which he accepted. We spoke about his father and he told me his dad’s philosophy of not showing every reaction because of time restraints etc. anyway I still wish they could show all the reactions.
Thanks for posting. I'm going to offer a differing point of view because a few other people have made a similar suggestion, and it's not a bad one. We don't like to push too far. We don't want angry people, we want puzzled or humorously challenged people. In our style of gentle people-watching we set limits, which is why Candid Camera has lasted so long. -Peter

So damn funny, what the hell happened to where this show is not on all the time??? Maybe because if it was, just maybe people would catch on real quick and that wouldn't work. That's the only thing I can think of because this show is truly one of a kind that cannot be duplicated such as with the ridiculous "getting punk" shows, watched it a couple times and it's not the same. So sorry this is not still on, but I will say one thing, if it ever comes back you couldn't do it consistent anyway, people areway to cynical today, they wouldn't be that surprised, not to mention they might even attack an actor who's pulling their leg.
