@@LoveHut4Life I will check out the rest of your channel. Feel free to check out mine. I'm still learning so please be patient. My wife and I are about 150 days into our new nomad life. Currently moochdocking with friends then off to Quartzsite for a bit. Hope to see ya on the road.
Hey good people!, so glad I found someone I can relate to here... I will be out on the road full time starting in Sept. " see ya down the road"..... really love your hut!
ME too... Sept. I'm just finishing up refurbishing my Vintage 1972 Travel Trailer... I'm moving towards Albuquerque... trying to find some FREE places to stay,
I just came back from a NM trip those spots look very familiar Carlsbad was chosa or sunset reef campgrounds...organ mountains is off Baylor canyon rd dispersed camping very beautiful spots...did you go through silver city and see the log cabin in town?
Such a beautiful area…. We have been through Silver City a few times, but I don’t believe we have ever stopped. We might have to check that out next time:) thanks for watching
Happy anniversary🥂🥂 Kelsey is absolutely right about the universe providing. Things have been kinda rough for us here in central Texas, but we’ve had a couple of good weeks and we’re excited to see where it all leads. Carlsbad Caverns is spectacular, though it’s been 34 years since my last visit there. I’m eagerly awaiting your next videos.
Thank you! I’m a strong believer in that statement:) I’m editing the Carlsbad video right now, and I am super impressed with the time exposure photos we managed to get!
How cold is it there? I feel like the south is getting an unusually cold winter. It’s even getting cold at night in Arizona, but I’m thrilled to get to wear shorts and soak up the sunshine during the day!
It's not been too bad other than the three inches of snow we got last week. Daytime temps have been in the 60s and 70s. I still have a few things i want to do to my truck( locking rear diff install, replace cracked exhaust manifolds, and fix timing cover oil leak) before we get out on the road. I want to head east to see my family in south east Georgia. Then come back and do the Cummins swap on my truck.
@@LoveHut4Life If you get a chance when you come back through Carlsbad, New Mexico... try to stop and see: Friends of the Living Desert... it's not just a regular ZOO... it's different... more in the animals habitat.
Awesome video! We love that area of the Gila National forest and think it would be an awesome location for a meet up sometime. We didn't get to see the cliff dwelling and look forward to your video. 😎
Yes! I’m down to meet up with y’all anytime. The Cliff Dwellings were so bad ass! It made Mesa Verde National park look bad lol. Give Roodle a good ear scratching for me, and tell him we will see y’all soon! 😘
Thanks for the video. What is the best course of action to establish New Mexico residency? And receive mail? I know America’s mailbox in South Dakota is turn key is there anything like that in New Mexico?
I wouldn’t know about establishing residency there, but all states allow for general delivery of packages to local post offices. If you were looking to stay in one state long term, but still live off grid, I would suggest making a friend and using their address. You may have to put the water bill or trash bill in your name to establish residence
I am so new to all of the Boondocking and Free Camping... I understand the boondocking, but you mentioned in the video about FREE Camp Site... what does that entail? Or is that the same thing as boondocking?
Boondocking technically just means camping without any sort of water or electrical hookups. It doesn’t have to be free. We do tend to use them interchangeably though, because it is extremely rare that we pay for a campsite.
We try to mention the names of roads when they are significant, but 99% of the camping sites we stay in don’t have any sort of name. We tell you what type of land it is, the name of the nearest town, and the name of the Forest or wash when they have them. The idea is not to give you all of our favorite camping spots. It’s to inspire you to go find your own.
@@LoveHut4Life You are not being responsible, you are sensationalizing an idea, but not offering any help for people to really see that you are genuine. I have stopped going to similar sites like yours. You set out to leave people a sensational ideas that they can't reciprocate and try and learn and enjoy what you do. I think a majority of the people that get on your site are people who will not go out of their way to truly enjoy what you do. As I have texted you , I live what I do and enjoy it, and I was just trying to add more places to my adventures. Obviously, I found the wrong site. Lol we’ve spent a lot of time in New Mexico actually, but still haven’t visited white sands. I’m always more interested in finding pretty rocks when we are there.
Hi! What time of year did you go? We are trying to find a place for spring break 12 March to 16 March 2022. And non of the state camp grounds seem open.
This was in January. Paid campgrounds aren’t really our thing, although we were willing to pay for that hot spring if they wouldn’t have been full. We utilize public lands 99% of the time.
Just watch my first video on your channel and promise to see more. I'm looking to buy a class C and will do boondocking out west as well. These videos I watch always leave me with questions. I know you can show everything. 1. How safe was your dog on all of that BLM wilderness land? 2. Perhaps in one of your other videos you explain the bathroom and drinking water situation? 3. Regarding work. Did you meet anyone who ever did seasonal work at a campground or something like that?
Oh boy. This is an old one. You have lots here to enjoy lol. Welcome to the ride. You should always keep a close eye on your pets and yourself when in the wilderness. There is nothing “safe” about nature, but you can prepare yourself and stay aware of your surroundings. Yes; every camp ground has a camp host… there are also many seasonal and online jobs available. Look up the term work camping Good luck✌️
New Mexico has a ton of public land. Any BLM or National Forest, though I do believe they have some of the forest shut down for fire season right now… stay safe out there. It’s a warm time of year to be there
B & E in Hatch... Killer grub. A must for me when going through there.
We’ve gotta make it for the Chili festival one year!!
I LOVE your Cab-Over Camper. I used to have one on my 3/4 ton Dodge... miss those days...
Thanks! We love it too
I'm also from Alabama. Seen quite a few caves in North Alabama. Cathedral Caverns is probably the best one.
Cathedral is a good one! What part of Alabama are you from?
I enjoyed this video but whatade me subscribe was that you also wire wrap gemstones. That's awesome
