Ya know, Its refreshing to see a video with someone showing that kaBar is a great knife and to see so many positive comments. I cant tell you jow man times people hate on ka-Bar and i feel like its similar to why people hate on glock, sometimes people dont like something because its popular, and its often popular because of its reliability and practicality. Anyways great to see! Thanks for video god bless 😀❤
I mean the classic kabar Is a great knife and deserves credit. It might be oversized for a lot of people these days, but it's phenomenal for its intended use. Thanks
@@KnivesFAST yeah I agree, what I've seen is alot of videos saying the tang is weak and bends but they they do so pretty extreme stuff to them in the process that it wasn't intended for so that's not the knifes fault. Personally I think it goes great in everyone's collection. I don't think the military would use them if they weren't dependable 🙂

I own two but besides for fighting they’re are so many better options even for a fighting knife actually though they have a great history and are cool looking

Classic-- bang 4 the buck can't be beat - and as far as cheap beater/ work pocket knife - dozier - all around great blade -- killer review amigo

If it ever gets loose just smack the pommel and it’s all tight again. I have both the new Ussf kbars and my original Usmc I purchased at boot camp in 2000

A USSF model in black coating and stacked leather handle? That's so odd! You're the lucky one, sir. I'm a big fan of KA-BAR 1271 Fighter, a modern version of the USMC we've been in love with for ages. It's got a slightly wider tang (0.725 inch) compared to 0.531for the USMC. Only the 1271 and 1245 Tanto model have the wider tang, so it's a little more robust than the regular KA-BARs. Worth checking.

Strip the coating, convex the edge, and cut and round off the top guard.....Then you really have something special for a hunting and woods use blade! 👍

I bought a BK-9 I didn't remember what I used in the service. Turns out after looking at pictures I used Case-XX Bowie. My BK 9 is LNIB with a kydex scabbard. I would trade it for a Case-XX Bowie

Where is the Liong Mah unboxing that you have text at beginning of video? Also, is your leather conditioner a special chemical that treats leather thats coated with shellac? Just curious how you plan to do that.

I love the look of that Kabar USSF knife, comes in an unstamped sheath and just says Kabar like the original. I got a Kabar USMC, ditched the USMC sheath, bought an unstamped plain leather sheath because the Originals did not have all those markings on the sheath unless it was a Nord fiberglass sheath, and besides, I never served so I am unworthy to wear something that has a USMC, or any branch of the military stamped or embossed on the outside of it in plain view.
