Y'know they might not be deadly to people but they are an absolute terror for most of their prey animals. I once observed a camel spider taking on an entire colony of ants alone and it was an absolute massacre in the camel spider's favor.
Derpy doomslayer. These guys can't even pierce human skin though unless you let them gnaw at you for a long time, and even then it'll be some minor scraping/torn skin, they don't want to bite either, even when you annoy them. They don't have venom and just pinch and gnaw rather than poking, so really if the rare occasion of a bite occurs you'll just get a little painful pinch, and then it'll probably just run away.
I have heard alot of stories of soldiers that were in the middle east who had body parts completely eaten by these guys. also more about how they numb an area and eat human flesh. Probably false stories or a different type of creature that was mistaken for camel spiders
Camel spiders are the only arthropod I know of that can take on an entire ant colony single handed... and win. It's like a watching a tiny Genghis Khan.
I live in the U.S. and I’ve never seen one so I’d say they’re probably not very common anywhere in the U.S. besides in the west where there are drier more desert like places
It's like the square and the rectangle. All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares. In the same way, all spiders are arachnids but not all arachnids are spiders (other archnid examples include scorpions, mites, harvestmen, etc.). Hope that helps ❤️
I saw loads of these in Namibia, at night they come out in force! Every night when I went to bed there would be at least a dozen or more on the walls and furniture in my room. As the video states they are harmless though. One night while intoxicated I made a mission of trying to catch one... they are FAST... needless to say I failed to catch one but at no point did they attempt to bite me, they always just ran at the speed of light.
When I lived in the Central desert of California, these BEASTS would venture into the house after dark quite frequently. And they were mean! If you tried to smash them or spray anything at them, they would freeze up momentarily, then come after you! Terrifying you and any guests you might have at the time. Never a guest bitten by one, nor myself I should add...
@@AnimalFactFiles almost all of my pets are the creepy crawlies that pepe are scared of. I love getting them out with my scorpions, tarantulas, and whip scorpions to show the neighborhood children how awesome they really are. (My deathstalker scorpions on the other hand...)
I heard that this spider has an ability, it sprays some liquid and liquid paralyzes place where it sprayed. Then spider starts to eat that part and you don't feel. I ask other people too, to find out if it's true info. I hope it's wrong info.

Awesome! Thanks for the shout out! I keep a few as pets and it saddens me that they are so misunderstood.
They are really cool! They need more love.

Are you an idiot or something. Spiders have fangs. These do not have fangs. Go back to elementary.
