Hey man I was just wondering me and my dad went out to fort Morgan on our 19 foot skiff the other day. Sunny 2-3 mph wind we went into the marina on the bay side that tacky jacks is at. Caught several undersized speckled trout and 1 keeper just out side the mouth. When it hit high tide they quit biting, what’s the key to keep catching fish? We caught probably 30 white trout in the marina throwing chartreuse swim baits.
I found your channel scrolled up on my YT feed about a week ago. I am certainly enjoying your videos. The Sheepshead’s really caught my eye. I lived in the village of Sheepshead Bay, in NYC, for my first 18 years. From 1956 - 1975 Sheepsheads were there in the bay, however with the storm sewers leeching into the bay from a five mile radius, they just about suddenly disappeared. My friends and I from ‘58 - ‘68 turned our attention to bay flounder. They did not taste good so it was always a catch and release effort. I have one or two questions about your equipment. Trolling motor; I noticed while you were fishing the motor rotated and you did not stray from your position. I was wondering if you have an autopilot setup so you stay on station? Power Pole; I looked this up and really wasn’t satisfied with their description. I also noticed on your boat what appeared to be coax cables at the bottom of the pole. That’s about it for now. Thanks for the great Class A videos.
Yes, it has a GPS built in that holds me over the spot! and the Power Pole has two Hydraulic hoses running to it. It has a piston on the arm that lowers and raises the fiberglass stick. Really simple device, pretty dang pricey but they are nice to have when fishing shallow marsh.

If the fish are at 50ft are you dropping bait to 45ft or into the school.

Just make grits (preferably not instant) and stir shredded cheese in at the end.
