Howdy Jake, the highly anticipated sequel Gigantic Dead Maple Removal Two is now out and it doesn't disappoint. From the start there's fore shadowing of troubles to come with rain soaked ground making equipment set up difficult. Electric saws meet their match in this Maple behemoth. A hero is taken out almost immediately with a broken pull rope handle. A camera drone mysteriously falls from the sky? Will the arborists of Eastside Tree Works prevail? The writing is on the wall when the Stihl 088 Magnum is unleashed. The age of the tree is left unknown as the heart of this beast has been cored by nature for quite some time. Have A Day! ;~)
Do any mills want the wood you can't chip? I've been wanting to start a mill and I'm wondering if tree removal services sell the trees or give them away. Out in Lake Forest Park, Wa.
Thats one great team - as an ex crane operator I gotta tip my hat to Brian - the guy is as safe as its possible to get, no wonder you had no hesitation in getting him to lift you AND the branches. My old man is a 90 yr old ex forester and he was green with envy at the equipment used nowadays - he had to do all that by hand but he loved every minute of watching these 2 epic vids - hats off from 2 generations of UK tree men.
I loved climbing trees as a kid , but nothing as much fun as this.. thank you all for sharing your experiences on this media. Now I’m just too old for this work, it’s so much fun to see the younger generation doing it..😊
Thanks for posting Part 2. I've been anticipating seeing how it worked out. Great job by all and with no one injured, through a complex operation. Awesome!
That property is gonna get so much more sunlight now. It’s going to change the entire makeup of the vegetation, landscape, moisture problems and possibilities for the homeowner.
You all did a great job on a very dangerous tree take down. We lost a good high school friend years ago while cutting a tree down. He didn’t have a bar that spend the trunk of the tree. Well it spalled off twisted and hit him in the chest crushing him stoping his heart! So this job is truly something you can not be to carful & smart about. God bless and stay safe!
The anticipation of every limb you cut literally wore me out! It felt so good once you leapt on top the stump! You certainly know your stuff and that monster proved it. I subscribed on the first video and couldn't wait for the second and finish . I've been filling trees and cutting firewood for many years now and still with it at 66. It seems to get in the blood. You all are a great team and a real hoot!! Stay safe, blessings from Colorado .❤
That was a great job, carefully thought out and executed. It does make me nervous seeing logs weighing several thousand pounds hanging in a sling almost directly over you. That hole in the middle of the stump reminded me of a huge Valley Oak my neighbor had that split and fell. It looked perfectly healthy except for a V fork about 35 ft. off the ground. The larger half fell into my yard and flattened 2 big buckeye trees, plus it broke a both railings on an arched bridge I had put over a small creek bed. When the tree guys were done cutting everything up, the stump was almost 8 ft.@ 2 ft. off the ground and 3.5 ft. of the heart was gone. You could have enlarged it and made a hot tub out of it! An arborist estimated the tree at 325 years old give or take 20 years.
Very impressive job! That was one humongous tree , the new graphics wrap on the crane is killer👍Thanks for the great video and the link to the wool outfitters👍 🌲
That was an awesome video!!!!! Watching the old dead tree getting cut down is very satisfying! That was hilarious at the end when you were able to stand in the hole in the stump! I can’t believe how deep that was!
New subscriber. At the first of the video you were speaking of Duckworth, I will check them out. I am older than you. I got a kick out of your statement about wearing the garments for a month and not washing them a lot. My wife is always on my case because some of my favorite garments do ot get washed as often as she thinks they should. I am in process of putting 5/4 deck boards on my bedroom walls and ceilings, and was impressed that the back ground wall was covered in what looks like a similar material. Looks good, hope mine looks as good when it is finished. At least when comparing some individuals there is not too much of a generation gap. I volunteered to clean up some tornado debris this past summer, lost weight, improved my health, met new friends, and improved my health and well being.
Lots of people pay big money 💰 for spaltic/quilted Maple wood!! And that was beautiful lumber. Not every tree has to be chipped! Just saying..!👍🏻❤️❤️💪🏼👊🏼🔥🔥
Contact Jakes boss! You can negotiate the money and details and start making some big bucks off the wood . If you don't, they're just gonna keep making chips.
@@nathanarievlis3985 yep! Most trees get chipped because the tree guys can’t get anyone reliable and consistent to take the wood. Not worth their time to mess around with if someone won’t come out when they say they will.
Spectacular job guys! That hole at the end was so deep, it was unbelievable. Y’all made those homeowners some very happy people. Glad everyone made it through safely.💯❤️👏🏾😀👏🏾🙋🏽♀️✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
I was hooked from the minute I saw that monstrosity of a maple you were carving on. That's a whole lot of furniture material it's gonna make. Great job!
Swinging an 88 Stihl in a saddle is tiring enough without all the other work you've already done through out the day. They are no slouch of a saw standing on flat ground let alone up on a tree lol.
A humungest job. Done very well. So glad that only the tree was cut down and no one or the house was hurt. That crane was amazing also. Great job all the way around guys.
Nice camera work Jake, drone going up the tree. Need a nice light 460 up that tree.. I'll lend you mine barker box .. square ground just like Jeds. Great showing the knots you use on the horizontals.
Thank you for your special videos I sure like to watch every one of them and you all make a good teamwork working together safety always comes first above everything else God bless you all and thank you
As a crane operator, I always made sure I removed the limb or trunk straight away from the arborist, and lifted while not over top of the arborist. If you watch crane videos , strops and ropes can always break, or slip, Most mostly break.
Piece of music (2:33) is 'Ticket To Ride' by Tony Spinelli - and very nice it is, too. Great video, I watched both parts, beginning to end. Great work all round.
That, was a big maple. Good work crew 👊 That root cavity was crazy 🤣. I watched every second of this long video without remorse. Oh, and finally, a product endorsment I can wrap my head around 👍 Thanks Jake
Another great video. Fill that stump with diesel & tarp it. Maybe drill some really deep 2" diameter holes & diesel them also. Let it soak in for at least a week. Screw some metal flashing to the side of that deck, leave a gap. Water the deck & keep it wet. Start the stump on fire. It might burn for 2 weeks.
Really enjoy the coordination your team has cutting down this behemoth of a tree. Before you take the last pieces to a mill, consider some slabs for table tops & the branch stubs for bowls. :)
AwSoMe Job Guys....!!!! As an Ex Tree Climber From North East Ohio.... - I loved every minute of it - Big Nasty Maple....!! And I laughed when your pull cord broke on your Stihl cuz it's happened to me before brother. Again,,,,really great job - that Maple was a dead monster...!!!
Great work gentlemen, but I'm a bit jealous! Why... well, because I'm 79 and couldn't get 'on' a tree let alone climb it! But seriously, my thanks for your video showing your quality workmanship habits and obvious knowledge of your choice of career! Very well done!! I wish all the best to you fellas for the future!
Another fantastic effort from you guys. The second part was definitely a better day,, no rain and doughnuts on the menu😁🇬🇧💞👍stay safe and enjoy boys❤️👌
when you have millions of $$ in equipment like these guys do....you cant go wrong ( unless yu R an idiot with chainsaws). Imagine the guys who are doing this WITHOUT a boom truck.
The hole in the stump is a potential hazard for someone to fall in. Good to cover up using a cut out piece and nail up. Good piece of video and very informative. Keep up guys!
I gotta say, coming from a former tree climber , I’ve watched just about all your videos and it’s making me want to get back into it!! Keep the good content coming!! Much love from Florida!!
Fantastic video. You are all brave. 'What is with you getting in that darn tree hole, lol. Something could have eaten you alive'. I learned some things new about cutting trees. I definitely didn't cut some of the limbs off my tree properly. Your whole team did good.
Tip o' the hat to a well-coordinated crew. Makes all the difference in the world. And an extra one to the one guy you don't see much, that being Brian aka Mr. Finesse. I don't imagine riding the ball would feel good with a stranger. All of you kick and I liked that group shot in the final seconds. Cheers from Ottawa, ON
Flawless execution. Will never understand how building a house immediately adjacent to an old tree makes any sense. From the potential of it crushing the home and injuring occupants, the roots ruining foundation or piping and just the leaf litter.
You make this work look so easy, i climbed my biggest tree today and struggled my way up and it was smaller than the stick you started with haha, good work mate
38:50 when the drone is flying around Jake it looks like there is a face in the tree near his helmet. Super clear at 39:05 right before the drone dies. Nice photoshop effect for a super creepy looking tree
