I really appreciate how you build a foundation with the basics, then apply it to actual fish catching. Thank you for helping me be a better bass fisherman.
i’m all over the state ,i live in saint augustine but we travel the entire state for an insurance company (storm damage) i have fished every pond in 95,4 and 75 and every state route from marco island to the keys. and i’ve come to the conclusion that the bass on the golf side will hit just about any lure you throw. now fishing east coast is more of a chance the further north you go. but i’m here to tell you my PB was caught in the ponds on 75s 20 miles outside of Tampa .i used a Rapala Husky jerk. golf coast bass love them .tight lines and PM me i have all the hot spots marked on my google maps
Heading to FL in mid January with my boat. Lake Toho and Kissimmee. Looking for all the info I can get. Got me thinking I need to up my braid. I usually stick to 50lb braid on my flipping/punching setup. But I may have to up my game on my other med/heavy rods. I usually only have 12-15lb braid.
Thanks Nathan, you give fantastic insight into local applications. I just wish you were stopping by my lake in Ga. I still haven’t broken the code here for the bigger than average fish
I’m heading to just outside Tampa florida very soon so west central Florida what do you think would be time to go? Early February or late February ? Or possibly early may ? I’m driving down from Massachusetts so I really want to give myself the best luck thanks man.
Not so great , we were there on a tournament day 200+ boats (we were in yaks), and a day after a heavy storm .. caught a few bowfin and pike , but only a couple small bass . At least we didn’t get skunked lol
I’m heading to Florida in April and thank you so much for your breakdown of equipment and baits. This has been very helpful. I’ll be flying so I won’t be able to bring everything but think I can come up with a nice variety of baits as well as colors. I’ll be taking two travel rods, a bait caster and spinning rod. Great video!!
Every bass I've ever caught in Florida doesn't even compare to a bass in the Northeast. A 3 lb Largemouth in Rhode Island fights much harder than a 5 lb Largemouth in Florida.
Of course they fight harder. U ever catch a sub 2lb LargeMouth? He's little so metabolically, he can fight bc he's got the energy to fight. But energy ain't covered in any record books. Unfortunately only two factors matter in the record books, that's weight and length (plus of course tackle size of course). U get ur weight and length in Florida. Plus there's nothing like the feeling of ripping a +6 lb HAWG out of the grass and watching your pole bend, taking the tip all the way back to the damn reel! WOOO!! Spring cannot come FAST ENUF boys!!😂

Great video for this Florida girl! We appreciate you! Tight lines..
Thanks!
Great video! Thank you for your in-depth explanation and thoughts on what is occurring without a bunch of background music that some creators use.
Thank you!
So your older Florida video came up after I started watching your videos, and now this one. Quite opportune because I'm heading that way next month!
Awesome good luck!

I might start doing some traveling if the channel grows!
You think that mix vegetation, would work also California Delta, only thing is that is tidal rivers
It could for sure!

I would love some advice for fishing chain of lakes in winter haven fl. Thanks
I’ll be coming down in December!
Are you saying that a largemouth bass is capable of snapping a MH rod? Why would losing a fish be caused by too light of a rod?
Lived in Florida all my life...jitterbugs and hula popper.
Nice!
Tequila sunrise zoom worm on a Texas rig never let me down.
We're you using strait braid on your spinning rod or Braid to Liter?
Braid to leader!
What worm hooks are you using?
6th sense stout EWG hooks
What area of Fl is this lake, just curious?😊
Orlando
@@nathanquincefishing7122 awesome thanks, I'm in Gainesville

Go for it!
We're you using straight braid or a leader?
Straight braid!
What lake are you fishing?
It’s a private lake in Florida
Speedworm in Florida, you need fast moving baits in Florida the fish are used to cocaine.
Definitely a great choice!
