I made a baby hexi cardigan and it worked up so well. Very sturdy. But the yarn barf is unreal. I spent most of my time having to untangle this from the center.
I just bought some the other day on a whim too!! I love the feel of it so far. Has been great to work with. I've made some really itty bitty chickens and made some scrunchies with it and they're super soft and super cute!!!
YAY! Bonus video!! 🧡 I can TOTALLY see what you were saying about the velvet look of the three of them…the brown even looks like a bigger skein. Wild. Also, you KNOW I love that pattern!! 😉 back to watching! 7:01 silly question, what is your hook brand? I’m noticing it looks longer so I’m intrigued!!! EXCELLENT review, Annie! Thank you so very much for sharing with us! Terrific! My Michael’s never has much in the chenille category, but I want to try this one! Hugs!! ☺️🫶🏻🧶
I just made a scarf for my son with the dark green that you used on your dragon (by the way, super cute!). I am new to crochet and used a waffle stitch. I had a hard time when starting the project to see where to put my stitches properly (could just be me being a rookie 😅), but once I marked them and got the pattern established, I had no problem. My yarn did not shed either, which was nice. The yarn barf, however, was a nightmare and I literally spent as much time untangling it as I did crocheting it, it seems. I even had to give in and finally cut my yarn and restart once I untangled the skein and wound it into a yarn ball, because I just could not keep it untangled enough to work with it. There was no outside end to work from and I had a hard time finding the inside end, but I eventually did find it. It was bad enough to deter me from wanting to use this yarn again, but if I did, I would absolutely choose to work from the outside end and make a yarn cake first before starting the project to avoid that frustration again.
I love the size difference it makes in plushies. I love to decorate my office at work with my plushies I make, but some of them are just too big. This is perfect for making desk buddies
Haven’t tried the new purls yet but did see it at the store for the first time yesterday! Love that it has a wider range of color options but the skinny chenille is literally like 10x softer than this newer option! I will have to pick it up and give it a try though but wish they’d just come out with more options in the skinny chenille.
I actually got some yesterday to try, too! I haven't finished your video yet so you may cover these but here are my thoughts: *It looks like the chenille home slim but it is much slimmer. I doubled it up last night to work on a keychain and that gave me about the same size as a bulky yarn. *It doesn't shed at all! I can even do a magic circle with it!
Thats so funny, I just made this pattern for the first time this week lol Have you ever used Big Twist Baby Bear? I feel this yarn looks very similar in weight and texture to Baby Bear. I wonder if they could be used together 🤔
I'm new to crochet. Going on 3 weeks now. And I find this yarn so easy on my wrists and hands but very hard to see the stitches lol on the other hand when I use cotton or acrylic it's hard on my hands but easy to see the stitches so...I'll go with the plush for easy sake.
I have been scared off by the thicker chenilles, so this would be a great entry point. I live in Australia and our access to chenille is limited. Love your content and enthusiasm ❤
I honestly love skinny chenille, I’m more on the beginner side of crochet. But I def will want to try this yarn it seems like it has more colors & I also love making small plushies lol.
I’m more interested in picking this up to make a sweater or something… 🤔 Can you imagine how soft it would be?? I’m especially wondering how it stands up to washing.
Hey Annie, I just made a sweater in the color of elderberry. It was easy to work with except it was hard to find the starting end in the center. I had to work with the outside strand. It does tangle but not bad enough that I would not use again. However, I noticed a color change even though the lot numbers were the same for each skein. Some parts were shiny and some parts flat. Has anyone else noticed this? Overall I love this yarn’s texture. LOVE THE DRAGON!
I love both the skinny and purl yarn, but they both need more colors. I would love a black, for example. At least there is always Hobbii for thinner plush yarn.
Hi Annie. I am a newbie and have been practicing with the Loops and Threads Soft Classic. I was ready to make a throw and went in to Michael's to get the Soft Classic and discovered the Petite Purl. Do you think the Petite Purl would be ok for a throw blanket or should I stick to Soft Classic or another brand? You are very thorough with your videos and present your opinions very well. Thank you.
First opinion is that they look a little too thin for me, but they look so soft and the colors are really pretty!! Will reply to this when I finish the video ❤

Oh gosh, I can totally see how the yarn barf would be awful with this one!

I loved this fun surprise video! I kept thinking how cute it would be if you made a tiny mallard duck with that yarn!
I’ve only picked up the dark green so far, I made a pickle with it for a friend! It’s so interesting to work with. I was pleasantly surprised with it.

I’m first and I love ur channel so much Annie! Also I LOVE THE YARN COLOURS OMG
Definitely going to have to check it out in person. I've been into velvet lately so this might just be right up my alley!
Yay! I love bonus videos! Also can you do another live soon? I love watching the live streams while I crochet.
Thank you so much for these videos. I'm new to all the kinds of yarn and it is very helpful. Maria
I’m so glad you found it helpful! Thank you so much for watching!
I got the tan and brown today - trying a new yarn made me feel inspired again 🤩

I already bought it and I love it. It stitched up well.
Thanks for the video! The yarn looks good, I think I will try it. Hopefully there will be more colors soon.

And I just finished your video and you basically said the same thing 😅

Hey Annie! How are you? I'm very excited for this video!! LOVE YOUR NAILS!!
Oh my goodness. The dragon is adorable!
I’d love a video of you making all of your patterns tiny!
Saw it in store last week and was intrigued!
Definitely going to micheals tomorrow for this yarn!
I’m more interested in picking this up to make a sweater or something… 🤔
Can you imagine how soft it would be??
I’m especially wondering how it stands up to washing.
I love that idea!! I bet it would be super comfy for something like that!
Hello,
I would like to knit a sweater for myself with this warn. Could you tell me how many skeins you used to knit your sweater?
Thank you
Love the size for mini plushies. ❤
I love both the skinny and purl yarn, but they both need more colors. I would love a black, for example. At least there is always Hobbii for thinner plush yarn.
Bonus vlog! YAY!! x
I love the small plushies 🥰
I hate working with smaller weight yarn but that tiny dragon is sooo cute lol
Hahaha me too, my hands hurt so much after!! Thank you! 😂🩷
@@hooksandheelers I can imagine!! lol I think he was worth the pain though 🥺😂

Okay now I need that pattern! 😍🐉
I hope they bring some of these colors to the sweet snuggles lite/home slim lines.... could really use that lighter brown right about now 😅😂
Right?! Same here!! 😩
You should make a dragon in orange and have the wings be orange slices
First opinion is that they look a little too thin for me, but they look so soft and the colors are really pretty!! Will reply to this when I finish the video ❤
Okay, the dragon sold me I totally need to get this yarn AND the pattern it's sooooo cute. The no shedding also sold me
Currently making a cardigan out of this yarn it works up so nice. But the textures don’t match between colors
hello,
Could you tell me how many skeins you used to knit your sweater?
Thank you
When the yarn says chunky it's going to be for bigger crochet projects right?
I just wish they would add new colors to slim and sweet snuggles.
Right?! Same here. I feel like they're lacking so many colors!
Hi annie love your videos i was asking if there will be another live soon i would love to watch it 💚
I love crochetbygenna dragon; made it several time. The face is so sweet.
