Maybe it was the first step into having totally new characters (which was further complemented in the wii u version with the non-mario universe characters). The only thing I meant is that it was a bit disappointing for some of us to not be able to play with our favorite racers from other games.
@@codyrhodey clearly been patched. i mean, the lock on feature for deluxe is much more precise than double dash. also, mushroom boosting probably wont be a thing for much longer since its unintentional.
@@iaminconstantpain4330 There is an expert challenge in Mario Kart Tour which is to evade a blue shell using a mushroom, so I think that while unintentional mushroom dodging is going to remain for future games (especially since you can't normally get mushrooms in first place so mushroom boosting is quite common anyway)
Notice how the graphics went up in N64 then down in GBA then up a ton in GameCube then down heaps in DS then up again in Wii then back down in 3DS then back up in Wii U?

I like how it goes from the Swithc one to the WiiU one and back to the switch one. So it devolves there for a second, the difference is that on the wiiU you can have one like in the other games but on the swithc version you can hold 2 items at the same time
