Freya’s ruthlessness, and powers is caused from heartbreak. She was never truly evil. Her sister is another story. Ravenna was evil, driven by self-conceitedness. Orchestrating the murder of her own niece, out of jealousy. Smh

Even though Freya looks bad , it is actually Ravenna's fault. Ravenna killed Freya's baby , giving her a heart that has not seen love at all. Freya does not love anyone now because her heart does not feel it anymore as she knows it will hurt those two even more than getting scars or dying .Poor Freya and her baby... you will understand this comment if you saw a mothers love in Freya's eyes when her baby was killed. They were full of despair and misery and her scream was full of sadness.I know that Freya is a person who is still soft at heart .

Obviously Jessica Chastain did not do the capoeira kick 0:59, so it is absolutely unnecessary to put that image in the movie, it would be attractive to show what the actress is capable of doing on the scene, not the skills of a stuntman. It's ridiculous, the fight for the fight. This kind of scene has no authenticity, is not genuine, is annoying.

Unpopular opinion: you guys are waaaay to sympathetic for Freya. Did she come to care for the Huntsmen? Yes. Did she essentially raise them and try to protect them from love because of her trauma? Yes. But Freya had their homes destroyed and had their parents killed before "adopting" them. There´s nothing beautiful about adopting a child when you were the one who killed their parents (unless of course the parents were evil, which was in no way implied in the movie). She had a sad story and eventually came to care but that doesn´t absolve her of the evil things she DID do.
"But Ravenna" SCREW RAVENNA. Ravenna may have killed her child, but she didnt force her to leave the country or to destroy other families. Those were choices Freya chose. Grieved or not, she chose to harm innocent people to make her own little army.
