Hi, Thom! How do you distinguish the items you are going to list with free shipping and calculated? Right now im only doing calculated or some flat rate shipping. Do you base it on the weight? Thx for any info!
@@sherrywalton8621 probably a less than satisfying answer, but the truth is it’s more an art than the science and I just kind of feel it out I’ve been doing this long enough that generally speaking the things that would have been first class mail (under 13oz)when that was a thing I would add three or four dollars to what I wanted to price the item and then run it free shipping Essentially, I still do that, but it’s ground advantage, and things that weigh more than a pound … I see where the comps are and do what seems right at the time One of the things you can look at on TeraPeak is how many items are selling with shipping charges and without shipping charge Somethings people expect to get free shipping on and somethings they don’t I will also do free shipping on really massive items (that I have huge margin on) that I know should ship within the continental United States for between 25 and $35 Because I know that UPS and FedEx could show the customer a price on the order of $75-$100 and I feel like that will kill a sale that I could get otherwise I really almost 100% do it with my gut because I have convinced myself I know how it works I’ve been selling on eBay most of my adult life and I don’t always get it right

How would you list something that is "open box" for pictures? Would you take everything out and assemble for the pics? Kinda takes away the "open box" feel
