It's because godzilla is always going to win. That's as deep as his writing goes. Yall discussing the reasoning behind the villains failure line there's some deep complex reason he failed. Not just that he's a villain, and in movies and tv for little children, villains always lose in the end. Simplistic, cut and dry, black and white certainty. That's what "skars" defeat was. And it's what "godzillas" victories will ALWAYS be. There's no room for logical writing and character development to dictate outcomes in movies that are made for 10 year old boys. Afterall, we wouldn't want to send yall home with a snotty nose and hurt feelings now, would we.

I still don't understand why he did this. Like millions of years being alive as a power hungry tyrant, you finally get to the surface world and you can't even keep hold of the crystal as soon as you get it back? He could've easily kept a hold of it while dodging godzilla but decides to drop it. Like imagine how it would've been if he instead had used the crystal and distracted goji with Shimo then tried to gang up on goji. Idk that's just my opinion tho

0:09 That blue trail left by the atomic breath reminds me of the "infinite heat ray" which was used for the first and only time in Godzilla vs Destroyah, and is considered the most powerful ray Godzilla has ever used, at least officially.
It is an intense orange ray with a white spiral, so powerful that it did not even need to hit the buildings to destroy them, since just stopping next to them would make them explode.

I mean we already see how Scar King makes up for his lack in strength with agility in his fight with Kong, and yet he STILL gets picked up and smashed into the ground by him. Now pit Scar King against a guy who can send KONG flying through a city with just his mouth? After a certain point agility can only take you so far 😅
I think Godzilla only wanted to get the pink radiation form to end the battle faster so he could go to sleep earlier, because, oh man, Shimo and Scar King literally did nothing besides getting bullied, not a single one of them actually hit a fatal blow to Godzilla, he was literally playing with them, he managed to murder every single one of the enemies with ease in this movie, and if it was not for mothra, Kong would probably get murdered too.
If he used his normal blue form, the fight would actually take longer and maybe stand a little difficult, but still would be no match for shimo and skar king
Naw shimo was strong enough to justify it. Every time godzilla managed to tackle shimo it was because skar king was using the crystal to force shimo to help him against kong, shimo even took a direct atomic breath and it affected it less than godzilla's non-evolved breath did to ghidorah in 2019. Even the official novelization states that shimo is the strongest thing kong ever fought which includes godzilla, and that godzilla was actually only equal to shimo when he was supercharged like the beginning of this clip. To top it off, the novel even states that godzilla wouldn't have been able to break out so quickly of shimo's ice if mothra didn't stop the breath from adding more to it, and shimo was strong enough to yeet godzilla halfway across the city and keep him out of the fight for a little bit, hence why skar king and shimo started attacking kong more together. And this is all while shimo is being slaved around by skar king unwillingly. The fight between shimo and godzilla was like a heavyweight vs middleweight, with godzilla only matching shimo's raw output while supercharged. The dude caused the last ice age for petes sake.
Godzilla wouldn't kill tiamat if he didn't NEED the extra radiation. If he really was someone who got a powerup to end the fight earlier rather than out of necessity, he would've done so before fighting mechagodzilla. But he didn't because shimo is strong as hell. Shimo alone would've decimated godzilla without the pink radiation form. He definitely needed the powerup.
Shimo (in control) was the real threat. Skar King wasn’t. The only reason Adam Wingard said something about Skar King being the “biggest threat” in the entire MonsterVerse is mainly because of his ape army (fodder, I know), and Shimo (the mother of all titans).
Shimo was giving Godzilla an issue, Skar King's the fraud.

Lemme break this down. Adam stated that if Goji in GVK was at 100% and not tired he would’ve beaten Mechagodzilla(he even stated he would’ve won their beam clash). Godzilla evolved in GXK is stronger than thermonuclear Godzilla and Shimo fought this version of Godzilla and not only kept relative pace but also had the upper hand most times. She tanked the supercharged beam from Evolved Goji with no visible damage which is confirmed by the novel to be Godzilla’s strongest attack ever beating out the pulses that decimated Ghidorah and Kong’s axe charged swings which easily tore apart the mech. Shimo wins

I've been a lifelong fan of everything godzilla. I still have tons of the old VHS tapes. I'd have to say that this version of godzillas atomic breath is a top 5 imo.

I think I find this part awesome, in my opinion.
Skar King getting hit at the back by Godzilla's Atomic-Breath, and then trying to avoid it is really satisfying to see. I realized that Skar King has some lack of withstanding fetal attacks. In terms of attacks like beams or sharp-like weapons. And I'm certain Skar King knows that in the beginning, when he confronted Godzilla.
It's really obvious that, in terms of durability, Skar King will definitely lose to Godzilla.
Even if he uses his whip as his weapon, Godzilla can still withstand those attacks. Thanks to his durability.
Throughout (Godzilla 2014) to (G x K: The New Empire), we've witnessed how Godzilla can keep on fighting even when he gets bitten, stabbed. Sure, even though he does get injured by beams or other powerful attacks, he was still in one piece.
In (GvK: 2021), where Godzilla and Kong were fighting each other in Hong Kong, Kong was able to strike Godzilla at the leg with an axe made from a sharp spike from Godzilla's ancestors. And yet, he was still able to move and fight.

It didn't hit him directly. Only the outer surface barley grazed him.
Idfk if you have eyes or not, but my bro do you know the differences between a “direct hit” and a “graze”? Take the atomic breath impact on Kong in GvK and the impact of the atomic breath on Skar King in GxK. Know the differences? The beam that hit Kong was a *direct hit* while Skar Kings was a *graze*, stop tryna overestimate Fraud Kings dura 😭🙏

My only complaint is that the beam when it hit Skar king, it should've done major damage to his body and not just push him. Like Goji's blue beam at least visibly burned kongs fur when hit there
It didn't hit him full on, the outer surface just barely grazed him. He got a much softer graze then Kong did in GvK. Kong got a direct hit but only for 1 second where as Skar didn't get a direct hit he got grazed by the outer surface of the breath.
It didn't hit Scar King's back fully, the beam would've flickered otherwise to indicate that if the beam was weak, and would've made a hole in Scar King or pushed him away and burned him Ghidorah-style if it wasn't.
