I am so blown away, I have watched several of your other videos. The flame grows dim in people and the world is full of distractions and confusion. Your videos are like adding logs to a flame trying to go out. Please make more of them. I have never heard a style like this and I love how you are in nature, what The Creator has created, and speak right to the soul like it was exactly what I needed to hear and how I needed to hear it. Please stay motivated to make more videos and I will watch and I want to grow. I struggle with doubts and confusion and anxieties. This world is very confusing and full of distractions and misinformation on top of all the "in your face" sinning everywhere we look now. Please keep making videos.
Find the nearest Orthodox church, and just show up, or call ahead if you would like. All it takes is just showing up, and rest is baby steps. Wish you the best, brother.
God works through different traditions in different ways in different times. Some lay near dormant to the world for many years but have been prepared by the spirit for moments such as these. Some follow Paul, others follow Apollos, but all who are wise see past each and follow Christ. The spirit can work through tradition or conscience to guide those who seek him in spirit and truth. I too am finding great blessing in the perspective of our orthodox brothers.

They just *tested* positive. The tests are unreliable. And the virus has a 99% chance of survival. As long as your spiritual father and his wife are healthy, they have nothing to worry about, it will pass like the flu.

My parents desire me to be Armenian Orthodox but as far as I know the Elders of today such as Elder Paisios said the Oriental Orthodox are in error. I don’t know if God is speaking through them (parents)and I have also become increasing sinful and give myself over to the passions. I desire to visit Church and take part in Holy Communion but I’m torn between Eastern and Oriental Orthodoxy and am limited by the fact that I can’t drive yet to either church. Thank you for your teachings. Once we invite Christ to be lord of our lives, repenting and trusting in Jesus as our Saviour, then the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us. We must then work with the Holy Spirit, for the rest of our lives, be they long or short, to be gradually healed and made anew, becoming each day, very slowly a little more Christ-like.
How can we combat lapses in prelest ? How can we make our humility true at heart ? For I am ashamed at myself for all my falls, yet also know that I am not ashamed enough.
Prelest requires open confession to your priest, go as often as he will permit and ask him to examine your thoughts. Like all temptations and passions, when we fall we must get back up, and keep getting up until we die. St Anthony said "Every day I begin anew."
One big sign of false righteousness is they will TELL you they are righteous, even to the point of bragging about it. The perfect example is all of the virtue signaling you see on social media.
repentance simply means to turn or to change your mind. In the case of salvation, you change your mind about you being a good person, and accept the fact you are a sinner that’s hellbound, and you turn from whatever that you think that’s gonna save you, “works, obedience, Islam, baptism, carrying your cross, “repenting of sins”, Catholicism” etc. and you believe on Christ ALONE for your salvation. That is saving repentance. 👉Christ is no liar “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” John 6:47 KJV

There's something that always brings me to humility, is seeing some people in the world that seem as if they are closer to God than me yet they are atheists... I've seen it on a couple of occasions and it really puts me to shame. Despite all of the time I put into following Christ somehow these people follow him better without even knowing about him. Thank you for your teachings. Once we invite Christ to be lord of our lives, repenting and trusting in Jesus as our Saviour, then the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us. We must then work with the Holy Spirit, for the rest of our lives, be they long or short, to be gradually healed and made anew, becoming each day, very slowly a little more Christ-like.

How can we combat lapses in prelest ? How can we make our humility true at heart ? For I am ashamed at myself for all my falls, yet also know that I am not ashamed enough.
Prelest requires open confession to your priest, go as often as he will permit and ask him to examine your thoughts. Like all temptations and passions, when we fall we must get back up, and keep getting up until we die. St Anthony said "Every day I begin anew."

One big sign of false righteousness is they will TELL you they are righteous, even to the point of bragging about it. The perfect example is all of the virtue signaling you see on social media.
repentance simply means to turn or to change your mind. In the case of salvation, you change your mind about you being a good person, and accept the fact you are a sinner that’s hellbound, and you turn from whatever that you think that’s gonna save you, “works, obedience, Islam, baptism, carrying your cross, “repenting of sins”, Catholicism” etc. and you believe on Christ ALONE for your salvation. That is saving repentance.

There's something that always brings me to humility, is seeing some people in the world that seem as if they are closer to God than me yet they are atheists... I've seen it on a couple of occasions and it really puts me to shame. Despite all of the time I put into following Christ somehow these people follow him better without even knowing about him. And in seemingly every aspect, even the aspect of humility and understanding.
