BMW 5-series E60 E61: How to set the clock and date through iDrive

In this video, I discuss how to set the time and date on a BMW 5-series with iDrive. This applies to E60/E61 models. Other BMW models with iDrive are very similar.

Easy instructions. BUT when I set the time format to 12 hour it does not stay it constantly goes to 24 hour format after 6pm

Bro I cannot connect my phone to bluetooth. It is sayin like.

Please advise with video how to remove last paired phone from the bluetooth and pair new one.

Next time I get a car like this in the shop, I'll try to remember to make a video on connecting a phone to bluetooth. It is often a pain on these older cars and newer phones.

I have the same car 2006 5 series 530xi (wagon) but my idrive is different. Did you upgrade your software?

Does your iDrive have the brownish background color instead of the gray/bluish color as shown in the car in this video? If so - you have an older iDrive software version. In the case of the BMW I was working on, the iDrive software was updated the last time the car was at a dealership, about 2 years ago. They just went ahead and did it along with the other scheduled service at that time. No additional cost for upgrading the iDrive. You might want to check with your nearest dealer to see if they'll upgrade it the next time you've got the car in for service.

Thanks- the colors on my system were like brown/orange, but I figured it out. My setup was a bit different, and I had to dig to find it, but I found it. Now, on to the air bags in the rear.. LOL
