    Thank you for making this video! This is the first video I’ve ever watched of yours but this was very informative! I just bought my kids gel ball blasters with 50,000 gel balls & I wasn’t sure how much water to use! Thank you so much again!

      Wondering the same thing, but testing it out right now, so I'll update with answers when I figure it out.
      In my case, it's not only water that's the problem, but its temperature - I left it with too little water and live in a cold country where we're currently mid-snowstorm, so the water quickly grew cold and the balls didn't grow all that much, even after 4 hours, so I drained them and put them away until morning. I'm rewatering them with warm water now, 7 hours later. If they can come back from that, they can come back from anything!

    When growing gel balls does adding more water to keep them submerged have the same result as starting with enough water?

      Of course the gel balls eventually become fully hydrated. The balls get to the point when they can no longer absorb any water. This is the correct diameter designed by the manufacturer to work best in the guns mechanisms. If the balls are still absorbing water and run out of water they won't get to full size. It's not rocket science.

    I know this is an old video but may I ask when growing gel balls does it need to be exposed to air and not in a sealed container?? Cause I tried growing gel balls in a sealed container I was wondering why the gel balls are seems 'larger' in the videos I've seen people use (they grow theirs in a bowl and not covered), mine don't grow like that and I made sure the gel balls are fully soaked in water for 4-6 hrs. And when I use the gel balls in my gel blaster it doesn't shoot far and sometimes just dribble out of the barrel. And I've disassembled and look in my gel blaster's gears / motors and it seems fine to me.

      Hey sarah. Since this video alot has changed with gel balls and growing them.
      The classic tactical stingers are ok to stay in water for a few weeks in an enclosed container in a cool place. The coloured stinger gels do grow a bit larger.
      The ultra hard gels are suitable for growing for 2-4 hours then removing from water. These are good to keep in a sealed container in the fridge generally for up to a week.

    I use a 1L cordial bottle (better quality, wider opening, easier to store than a coke bottle). A packet of 10k weighs roughly 50g. Break out the kitchen scales & put 12g of gels into the 1L bottle & fill almost to the top. Gels won't out grow the water & it makes enough to fill a speed loader with a few left over.

    informative! I simply use one of mums large cooking pots, put smaller amounts in per batch, when grown to adult size, theres plenty water left over...store em in dark at room temp once made, seems to work for me, i use green zombies, the feed thru M4A1s well, as do milkies, but strangely found orange dont like my M4s much, i have not tried other colours... If theres a super hard version out there, please tell me. Good work tactical edge!!

    What I wanna knows is, why is GelSoft allowed in some states in Australia but not Airsoft, because GelSoft and AirSoft is basically the same thing, the guns, pistols and rifles, look the same, the only difference is one type of gun shoot's gel balls and the other shoots plastic or nylon (whatever that material is) ball bearings or BB's, other than that they're exactly the same in looks and power and mark that it will leave on someone's body when shot with either GelSoft or AirSoft.

    • @memyselfandi6422
      @memyselfandi6422 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TacticalEdgeHobbiesAU Oh okay, thanks for the correction, all I remember about airsoft pistols at least is that they used to be legal in certain states in Australia because I saw a Western Australia army surplus store advertisement in a magazine back in the mid 90's, where they were selling airsoft pistols, like colt, smith and wesson, beretta, and glock pistols as well and everything was going great, until a mental nut case by the name of Martin Bryant I think his name was, I think he was into nazi bullshit etc. anyway, he massacred a whole bunch of people at Port Arthur in Tasmania using a military assault rifle, and from that point onward the govt. in conjunction with law enforcement banned these airsoft guns for one reason only I think, which was that although they are toys they look too realistic, so the ban had nothing to do with the fact that the airsoft guns fire projectiles (BB's) it all had to do with the fact that they are replica guns, they also placed an import ban on butterfly knives as well.

    Hi! I'm from Russia. Gel blasters in Russia are new and we know little about them. Today I shot milky balls. I grew them in a bottle of full water. Shot. But soon I noticed that the water in the bottle became cloudy, and the milky balls became smaller in diameter. In the same bottle of muddy water were ordinary balls. But they did not decrease in size, their diameter remained the same. What's the matter? Does this mean that milky balls are more choosy about the quality of the water and water should be constantly changed?

    Beware newbies. 2:1 is fake news. Implies you just double the quantity of water to raw (undeveloped) balls. Not sure why he says it numerous times when his (good) demonstration clearly shows that ratio is wrong. Perhaps someone said it to him once and, not really understanding ratios, just throws it out. Follow instructions on the pack but if not in English, experiment but for first go, put about 3 litres of water for about 10k gel balls (milkys) or, say, 2L for 5k (half pack). You’ll work it out quickly.
