Smell/OdorToxic,.. many things are toxic and have no smell, however yes, food and not food grade DE are generally safe.
However you do not want to get it ins your eyes.

Did that actually work mixing it with water and spraying it on? I've always read diatomaceous earth should only be applied to dry surfaces and was worthless as an insecticide once it got wet

Hi thank you for your nice video..
Can you be so kind to help me, I have two beautiful lemon trees, also a mandarin tree, how can I figure out how much to use spray bottle..??? It is the kind of bottle that measures by ounces ,and it's hooked to the house.
That is the only way that I can reach the trees..I USE organic products that I just bought a house.. they are quite expensive.. I will appreciate your help very much.. oso kenai mix it vegetables that I dry to mix in the compost???

I don't like spraying it directly on the leaves. You can kill the plant or cause it a lot of stress. I like to spread it around the plant.
