There are NJ transit buses that travel from Fort Lee to the George Washington Bridge bus terminal in Washington Heights. Some years ago I took a bus from Bergen county to GWB bus terminal and got on the A train to go to lower Manhattan.
I grew up in Edgewater , next to fort lee. In the 60 and 70s.. Those blue highrises movie theatre's Italian Korean restaurants.. unbelievable..thanks for the video
Action Thanks for checking out Fort Lee. Come down to Toms River, New Jersey. You can drive to the beach Seaside Heights. Beautiful Atlantic Ocean COME ON DOWN
Fort Lee is one of my favorite place to hangout ,especially The Anthony Franco’s Pizza that I used to chill out over there & the entire neighborhood since 2010
Thanks for memories, you know you can take a bus from 181 st Washington heights and cross the GWB and leave you stop Fort lee side in GWB and then you walk up the stairs and you are in Fort lee. the private buses use to charge what the regular buses charge.
I grew up in Fort Lee in the 60's and 70's. Very little in downtown looks the same, but I was happy to see a few familiar landmarks like the Post Office where my father worked. Yes, in those days, it was possible to afford an older house on the northern edge of town with only a postman's salary, plus a little, part-time side job. Never again!
Ah, yes - Palisades Amusement Park. The Fun House, the Cyclone, the racing cars, cotton candy, Little Miss America, and Officer Joe Bolton. Long ago, great memories.
hi AK :) very nice stroll in this area and liked all the eateries and shops you came across. superb video quality always makes me feel like i am there too. is there also a fort to explore here as well? thanks very much and good content!
BTW = For future Reference - Hudson Terrance Rd = Fort Lee historic Park on top of the G.W. = On clear day Great picture Scenery= not many know this / con't south approx 1 1/2 mile to Edgewater to the Japanese Food court = you got to try it next time .
ActionKid how come sometimes you use the osmo pocket like this vid & when you had the scooter in Leonia you used the gimbal? Appreciate a simple explanation if possible. Thanks.
@@JohnSmith-mh1mp well excuse me if I ask, john.. u say "we" dont litter, but tomorrow u will walk down street and guess what?? You will see someone throw an empty coke bottle alongside the curb... hypocrisy is a cancer
Amazing to see a downtown area without homeless encampments and such. Looks clean yet busy and prosperous. God, I want to get out of LA, but the weather 😢
On the contrary, respectfully...unlike NYC which exhibits: "Be garbage piled on the streets" for city collection..."BE graffiti on buildings" throughout the city..."BE hoards of big rats" in the neighborhood streets and Central Park! The slogan used by Fort Lee is very clever because it encourages its citizens to take personal responsibility for its cleanliness and prosperity.

Actually, that's no longer true. The jitney buses now charge $3 to get across the bridge. I forget the exact fare of the 159, but it's a little less. You can also carpool over the bridge for free. (EZ Pass gives a discount to drivers crossing the GW if you have at least three adults in the car & sign up in advance.)

Of course

@@JohnSmith-mh1mp pretty affordable compared to midtown
I remember my father taking the Fort Lee highway exit to take us to Palisades Park. It is a lovely community and I LOVE oriental food!😀

Fort lee is a rich town
Mostly Koreans and Jews in Fort Lee. We like things clean and proper. Not to mentions, it's stupid expensive here.
Downtown Ft Lee looks like White Plains, NY
True, White Plains bigger, but both same structure. Two favorite cities.
